.....Trees are almost calm again today.  Clear blue sky, and now 50 degrees.  Believe today's forecast says, 68 for the high.  Must head to Staples for ink cartridges for this 3 in 1....and hopefully mow this afternoon...along with mulching some leaves at the same time.  The wind kind of helped me this time....Many of the neighbors's leaves blew on past....But I did get some of them.

Might make a trip out to Pennsylvania...further east, than the home front....and would like to have no nasty weather decide to set in yet.....

We seem to have passed on our wind to the east....

Yup - It's been here all day.  Still pretty breezy tonight, for that matter.  Can't complain too much, though.  At least the temps are tolerable, and it only sprinkled a few times.

I define "miserable weather" as cold, rainy, and windy, all together.

Good afternoon.

We have had a few nice days around here. On Friday I was out to pick up a prescription, and I wished I could enjoy a long walk home but time didn't permit. It is nice out now, if a bit windy. 66° and sunny. I am out soon for a Flu Shot and I am thinking of taking a long way home to enjoy the walk. The forecast is calling for snow by the weekend.

Nothing else to report on, really. Was busy with the family over the weekend. No recent RR news that I can see.

Everyone have a good day.

We seem to have passed on our wind to the east....Had two days of it.

Today, not bad...51 early this morning, and the day is getting brighter as the hours pass.  Believe we'll see sunshine by afternoon.  70 forecast for tomorrow.

Have a good week all.

Tom, like Johnny, I'm not too sure of the Episcopalian canon's responsibilities.  But I can say that she is very soft spoken.

Barry (BOC), we are now getting some rain.  Not a whole lot, just enough to get everything wet.

Hope everyone has enjoyed their day.  I also hope that each and every one of you have a good week, and hopefully, sometime this week, after tomorrow morning, I'll be able to get back in and visit with you very fine and good people.  Love you all.

CW, is it a civil war type canon or a modern howitzer? Cool! Wish my church had one of those..........

Tom, I was never was able to determine just what the responsibilities of a canon in the Epsicopal Church were, even though David Blackaller, the then canon of St. Michael's Cathedral in Boise, married Ricki and me. Ricki grew up in the Episcopal Church, but she was not able to define the responsibilities of a canon. Wickipedia gives no information on the responsiblities of an Epsicopal canon though it does have information concerning Catholic canons ( men as well as rules).

We have mild fall weather today.

I go to see my urologist tomorrow morning; I hope he will say that I can stand the procedure that was scheduled to be done three months ago, and the urostomy can be undone.

Kinda glad I wasn't the patchmaster today.  It was a lot drier selling chicken dinners at the FD than I'm sure it was in the Pumpkin Patch.

Still - I'm beat.  We ran five trains yesterday, and restocking the patch after each was a challenge.  Not much time to sit down and rest.

On the other hand, I've got a couple of versions of I'm a Train on the CD with the spooky sounds, so that echoed through the woods occasionally when the train wasn't at the Patch.

Good Sunday morning all.  Cloudy and 66 degrees F. here in Louisville this morning.  Also breezy, with winds beginning to pick up a bit.  Should be back up in the upper 70s, low 80s later this afternoon.

Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go.  And breakfast is ready and on the breakfast bar.

Also have Sunday Dinner going in the Crock Pot/Slow Cooker:  Beef roast, taters, carrots and onion.  Not sure what time I'll be back home from Church today, as the canon under the Bishop will be there to talk with myself and another lady, who are to be confirmed as Episcopalians on Oct. 28th.  Then, it'll be packing time for me

Everyone have a good day, be careful and safe going to Church, work, railfanning, whatever else you have planned for the day.  Hopefully, I'll see you all in the morning, at least.

Our Friday Fish Fry is now ready and on the warmer/serving station.  All the regular kinds of fish, side dishes and desserts.

Mookie, I also have a heart murmur.  Of course, I didn't know I had one until about 15, 16 years ago.  Whenever I'm in the hospital, and a new doctor checks me, his/her first words are "Do you know you have a heart murmur?"  "Uh, yeah".

Talked w/my brother earlier, he said he'd be here around 10 a.m. or so Monday to pick me up.  Think I need to get my behind in gear!

I am hysterical @ a new dr office:

I was born with a heart murmur and my feet are so flat, they curve out.  Footprints look like dinosauer prints.

Dr checks heart for first time and "Do you know you have a murmur?"  So of course, I have to do the "OMG, NO!  When did that happen?"

Then they look at the feet and then at me like "how do you walk on those".

Just fine thank you!

Good Early Morning...

We are going to see a mix of sun and cloud with scattered showers here and there...yep...them days of the semi-permanent umbrella attached to the backpack are with us again...

Today Audrey is getting her hair done and I am having my feet checked out...not that I've noticed anything....yet.

Maybe, a little later on I might get a chance at running some choo choo's....

As for friend...we did a couple of quick runs for him to various stores and such to clear up bills etc...pretty sad evening all the way around...

ROFL about the dead batteries!!

I had a dead battery thing here a few days ago..our fire alarm went dead..ie: went into a 15 second cadence of BEEP!! I'm dying! BEEP! I'm dying!!...which brought me up out of a deep slumber into stumbling around trying to find the ladder to get the dang battery unloaded from the alarm.

Alongside the cat trying to get onto the top of the ladder to inspect my positioning on the ladder I had to contend with a mount that would not let go of the alarm..only to find out that all I had to do was to flip it off...d'oh!!....

Oh...the kicker? It was around 4:15 AM when this happened....

Good Friday morning all.  50 degrees here in Louisville this morning, going for a high in  the mid 60s again today.  We do have a chance of seeing some rain, but mostly it will be south and east of us.

Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go.  And on the breakfast bar this morning:  bacon, sausage, eggs, toast, bagels, bear claws, and a small assortment of doughnuts and danish, including the chocolate covered, cream filled long johns and some vanilla filled doughnuts.

Got a busy busy day and weekend coming up.  Will be doing some laundry, and packing a bag, as I'll be going out of town Monday.  Going to my brother's, to help with his granddaughters who will be on their Fall Break from school.  So I'm not sure if I'll be in here too often next week.

Everyone have a good morning, take care and see you all later.
