Good Wednesday morning all.  We have a very cool 51 degrees here in Louisville this morning; outlying areas in 40s, going for highs today in the low to mid/upper 60s later this afternoon.  I think Walt and I are just about ready for the workers to come in later this morning.

Coffee, juices, hot chocolate, hot cider, and hot water for hot tea are ready to go.  On the breakfast-warmer bar this morning:  bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, toast, biscuits, gravy, hash browns .

We'll be glad to get the workers in here, get the work done, and begin to get things back to normal.  We even got the cat carrier dug out of storage and cleaned up, as Trap & Uba will have to go into it later this morning, so they won't be in the workers' way.

Everyone have a good day, take care, and will try to get back in here later this afternoon.

Cloudy in our area this morning with light rain.  Noted 61 degrees about 7:30.  Hopefully this will be moving on east and out of here....at least by tomorrow.  My little barn is to be painted tomorrow.  {Son in law}.

And Erin and I will {hopefully}, with sunshine be going to Jean's final resting place...She has not been there since the Celebration Service.

Radar shows a massive north to south mess of weather moving past us now and on all over the east from here.  Yard certainly can use the rain.

Me, must get ready for a scheduled Dr. appointment within this hour, so I must get moving.  Wanted to check in and see what might be happening....and it seems rather quiet.

Have new RAM coming for this computer, and hopefully when called, we'll get this computer over to our computer repair business near by, and we'll speed this unit back up again....Right now, just 512MB of RAM, and we'll increase that several times over....

Good Morning everyone.

Been moving into a new place. AT&T did not know how to find it. It took them several days to get the internet working.

The landlord discounted the rent on account of it is right by the railroad tracks!!  Hopefully it will take him a while to realize I'm a railfan.    Been trying to clear up my E Mail.  It's been raining down here all weekend.  It has not been heavy just a slow drizzle. But it has been kind of nice as I've been able to get out and breath the fresh air.

RVOS Been reading your fun with a new truck.  Had fun with my last truck. It took several trips to Freightliner and finally getting Detroit to come out to fix.   Of course if you want to here a story try this:
Some years back the company was getting a special batch of trucks for the Million Milers(without an accident) .  The first receipient hooked up to a trailer drove up to the gate to head out. When the gate went up he floored(kind of hard to spin the wheels with a fully loaded trailer, but he tried)

What happened next was the drive axles broke loose of the shackles.  The builder had not torqued down the axle bolts. The driver got out of the drivers seat to a standing ovation

Everyone have a great day.

Thx Ian

Good Monday morning all.  67 degrees here in Louisville this morning, going for a high of 75, with rain coming in later this morning.

Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go.  On the breakfast-warmer bar this morning:  bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, toast, buttermilk biscuits, bagels & bear claws.

Got a phone call from Sarah a little before 9 last night:  she's back up in Philly this week, on vacation.  She went and did some railfanning yesterday, with her Mom.  They found an old abandoned rail line, that she had missed when she lived up there, in her many explorations of rail lines.  She was really excited, but at the same time, disgusted that she'd never found that one, when she was living up there.

I guess that's about all I've got this morning.  Everyone have a good morning, take care, and hopefully, I'll see you all later this afternoon.

Speaking of moles:  don't know where they're finding them, but either Little Mook, Little Mud or one of the 3 new babies, have been bringing dead moles to the front steps/up on the porch, and playing with them.  And the other day, Walt and I found the 2 of the little babies, playing with a squirrel tail, sans rest of squirrel.  I have walked the front, back and side yards, and haven't seen not one mole hill, so don't know where they're getting them.

Good Afternoon...

Had some fun this afternoon...we got some new plants in to fill in some holes left by some rather overly enthusiastic mole/vole/whatsit last night..

Check with Modelcar (Quentin) - he had a great time with moles a year or so ago.  Think he finally won the battle, but we enjoyed listening to the skirmishes..

Afternoon all.  Church went well this morning:  minister was interesting, but we only had 15 people (and 2 of them were guests from 1 of the roofing companies, that talked with us after service, cause we need a new roof on the Church and Gym buildings, along with the house behind the church, that we use for gatherings, and the after school tudoring programs.)  With all of that going on, I still got home by 12:30!

Here is our Sunday Dinner menu:

1.  Roast, taters, carrots, slaw, mac & cheese, cornbread

2.  Tuna casserole

3.  Leftover pizzas from last night

Hope everyone is having a very good afternoon.  Walt just got home from the library:  he was out of reading material.  Guess I may try to make a trip later in the week, as I'm also out of reading material.  But in the meantime, I've got my Seek and Find books that I can work on.

Beautiful sunshine, not too warm, and not too many clouds in the sky (at least not just yet).    You all take care, enjoy your Sunday dinner, and see you all in the morning.

Had a couple of hours trackside this morning - light traffic, but unlike most Sunday mornings, it was coal and less freight.

Did see a GP38 helping to take some grain cars out to the nearby elevators and spot them and also had some Herzog mts - think they may have been going to a rock quarry nearby?  Unless there is a special place around here that they go.  Sir Chicken, who is busy at the moment, could tell me, since he is familiar with this area.

We now sit at a silent crossing, which is great on the ears.  But those puppies do have a tendency to sneak in on you and you look up only to find one headed your way and just setting off the crossing signals.  Hard on naps cuz they get really close now and your pen is gone and your paper is on the floor and binoculars aren't out of the case yet.  Usually more organized, but seems like when I go trackside, I go a little brain dead in the prep dept.

Company from California this afternoon.  Looking forward to this visit.  Close family ties.

Surprised that it is cool (66) and cloudy and very humid this morning.  Supposed to be in low 80's and then really cool tomorrow.  Got a sweater hanging on the hall tree just for this time of year.  Also got the new Farmer's Almanac.  We shall see what they predict.  Probably in the neighborhood just enoough to call it sorta/kinda accurate.

Nap before company....

Good Sunday morning all.  Current temp is 64 degrees, going for a high in the mid to  upper 70s later this afternoon.  Looks like we'll have another good day today, weather wise.

Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go.  On the breakfast-warmer bar this morning:

Bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, pancakes & waffles with syrup or blueberries or strawberries, bagels and bear claws.

Everybody have a good morning, take care going to work, Church, railfanning, or whatever/wherever you're going, have planned for this morning.  See you all later this afternoon.

Sun is shining brightly.  52 degrees earlier this morning, and not warming up very fast.  Doubt if we hit 70 today.  Really don't know what they are predicting for our afternoon.

It certainly looks like our Summer heat / dry cycle has been broken....at least the temp. part of it.

Yard is growing rather fast again....

Doing my domestic duties this morning...bed clothes cycling thru the washer / dryer and back on the bed...and other clothes / towels, etc.....working their way thru too....Must do a run to the store Also.

Wishing good weekend to posters here.

Good Saturday morning all.  Currently have a temp around 55, going for a high in the mid to upper 70s this afternoon.  If we got any rain yesterday/overnight,  it was maybe a drop or two:  cause I haven't seen anything.

Larry, hope you have a good, safe trip.  See you when you get back.

Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go.  We even have some hot apple cider this morning.  And our Saturday morning brunch is just about ready:  pancakes, syrup, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, made from scratch buttermilk biscuits, sausage gravy, grits, cream of wheat, country fried ham w/red eye gravy, and some fresh fruit.

Everyone enjoy your morning, take care, keep safe and I'll see you all later this afternoon with our pizza fest menu.

Tree - will pull down the net for the Chicken and put up a waving Nebraska flag!

Have a good time with Mom and don't let them get too far into your pockets at the airport!  Grumpy  (do they make you take off flip flops?)

Be sure you get your travel lunch from CW - munch & travel go together!

It was cool here today, but absolutely perfect tonite.  Will get down to 42 tonite, but inside with windows closed keeps it just cool enough for sleeping soundly.

No more rain, but have high hopes that maybe we have broken the spell.

Nice day, wet evening, not that I'm complaining.  About .40" so far, and it looks to go on for a while.

Got some more painting done on the house.  Now I've got to find a source for the stain I've been using on the trim.  Don't remember where I bought it, but now I can't find it.

Packing nearly complete for trip to AZ.  Will wave to Ms Mook if we fly over Lincoln.

Changing planes in Chicago - which means I may be able to look for the old hometown in MI on the way over.  General Motors Proving Grounds provides a distinctive "spotting feature" for the area.

Still gotta produce a commercial for our fall trains.  The only time I can get together with the TV folks is Saturday night, and I have to be out the door by "oh-dark-30" on Sunday to get to the airport on time.

Wheeeee!
