Joe - looks like you had some excitement in Defiance.  It made Statter911, a fire service blog.

BOC, hope your cold is a tad bit better this afternoon.  They are definitely no fun at all.  Hopefully, you have some soft tissues, to baby your nose, from all the sneezing and nose blowing.

This morning, while sitting over on the  Gym steps, waiting for the ladies to come unlock the door, we had sprinkles, drizzle, then rain with thunder and lightning.  So, when the ladies got there, we went inside, just as the Produce truck was pulling up.  Didn't really have a lot today, either:  just potatoes, bags of chopped onion, cucumbers, plums and more caramel apples (sans nuts).

Here is our menu for tonight:

1.  Vegetable beef soup, or chicken noodle soup (both homemade, not from cans) w/baked cornbread

2.  Meat loaf w/mashed taters, green beans and slaw or garden salad

Everyone have a good evening, take care, try to stay dry if you're getting rain, and I'll see you all in the morning.

Good Tuesday morning all.  Starting out with temps in the mid to upper 50s, going for a high in the low to mid 70s, with rain showers coming in, in just a little bit (like right around rush hour).

Larry, welcome back, and glad to hear that Mom is still recovering nicely!!  I know that eases your mind somewhat, doesn't it?

We are still in Fall Cleaning mode, trying to get everything done.  Like getting winter clothing all washed and dried, and ready to start wearing when the weather really starts to cool down and stay cool.  And getting spring/summer clothes washed up and put away for the winter.

Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go.  Breakfast is ready and waitin' on the breakfast/warmer bar.

Everyone have a good morning, those who still have to go to work, take care, and I'll see you all after Produce is over and done with.

Ahhh, home.

Took a "red eye" out of Phoenix Sunday night.  The movie was cute, but the flickering of a screen right in front of me made sleeping difficult, so I didn't.  Then a layover at Newark and on to Syracuse on a puddlejumper.

Ended up taking a nap on the way home - in a parking area on the Interstate, as opposed to while I was driving down the road.

It was about 100F when I left Phoenix, and in the mid-50's when I got home, and I'm not complaining a bit.  For the first time in a week I'm not thirsty...

Now it's time to unpack, sort, and figure out where I stand on a bunch of things.

Mom's still doing fine with her recovery.

And off to bed.  My own....

Peace be with you. We woke up to 51 this morning, 77 and clear at this time in Carolina. Really nice here at present. I got on the wireless for the first time in a good while and enjoyed meself the other night. Maybe the bug is beginning to bite again.

.....My first check this morning was 41 degrees....and another frost.  Sunshine is bright now, so that will help get some temp back up by this afternoon.  Expect to see about 68 and projected now....for remaining part of week, to be low 70's.  Not bad, if it happens.

So tomorrow morning late....I'll disconnect this computer and take it to have more RAM installed...will end up with about 3 times more than it has now.  I'm tired of slow operation of required "steps" one must make in all work on here....

Should be back in business in one or two days.  I've already seen the new strip of RAM that's going into it and the computer {Houston Ed...I remember you said you had a HP Pavilion like it...have you increased yours...?}...has empty slots to add more...Thankfully.

So...with nice sunshine weather today, we'll continue to do outside things to make ready for {dreaded}, Winter.

Best to all for a good week......Smile   Yes

Good Monday morning all.  Guess we all survived with our unannounced closing over the weekend.  Think our current temp is somewhere between 40 & 42 degrees, going for a high in the mid 70s this afternoon.

Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go.  Breakfast is also ready and waiting on the breakfast-warmer bar.

Hope everyone had a good weekend, and were able to get out and enjoy it.  Also wish you all a safe, good morning, take care and see you all later.

Thought this site wouldn't be back up until Monday....And when I did give it a try via clicking on Trains forum in my Favorites, Bingo.....Paraphrasing "site not found"....Do we have to go and change something once again....?

I went and inserted "trains.com" in the address window, and got in that way.

It's cool out this evening.  Moon shining.  And it's 52 here right now...9:29  Had 42 early this morning.  Didn't get very warm either this afternoon, but after the race, I needed to get this yard mowed, and sweat shirt, long pants, I was comfortable.

Our weather has been beautiful today!  Got down to about 41 degrees this morning, made for a rather chilly exit to go to Church this morning.  But warmed up to about 65 degrees.  For the first time in the 24 years we've lived in this house, We had to break down and  turn on the furnace this morning.  Probably should have done it yesterday afternoon, but that's the way the cookie crumbles.

Joe, glad you found the leftover pizzas from last night, because that is what we're having for Sunday Dinner tonight:  leftover pizzas.  I had a long day, we went to a different church this morning, and it was almost 3:00 when I got home this afternoon.

Everyone have a good evening, take care and see you all in the morning.

Good Saturday morning all.  63 degrees currently here in Louisville, going for a high in the mid 70s, with a mix of sun & clouds.

Joe, you all have lots of fun in Fostoria today. And thank you for taking care of breakfast this morning!!  There will be plenty of warm pizza for you when you get back.

I will be leaving around 10 or a little after, to go serve lunch at the homeless mission.  Had forgotten about it, until someone called me the other night and reminded me, that we were doing it today.  There's gonna be about 18 to 20 of us.

Everyone have a good day, take care, keep safe with whatever you're doing today, and wherever you're going.  See you all this evening for our pizza fest.

Evening all....
Sitting west of Racine, WI, tonight, headed for Savannah for Monday with a full load of Miller's finest. A busy weekend, for sure....
Was 58 the last time I checked, with off and on rain. Had the semi in for it's 125,000 mile checkup, all is well, so flying down the highway we go again.
Off to the sleeper, see everyone later.....

Afternoon all.  Surprise, Surprise:  I'm making it back in here before 6 or 7 p.m.!  Still doing laundry, getting everything ready for Old Man Winter.  But am taking a quick break, while a load is in the washer, to come back in here.

Joe, sounds like you're going to have a long day tomorrow, if you are getting up early in the morning.

Here is our menu for the rest of the afternoon and evening:  Friday Fish Fry:

FISH:  Bass, catfish, cod, flounder, haddock, halibut, perch, salmon patties, salmon croquets, jumbo butterfly shrimp, popcorn shrimp and Tilapia

SIDE DISHES:  Baked beans, cole slaw, corn on the cob, fries, hush puppies, mac & cheese, deep fried breaded mushrooms, cornbread, mixed greens, potato salad, garden salad

DESSERTS:  Chocolate cake w/white icing, yellow cake w/chocolate icing, yellow cake w/caramel icing; pies:  apple, cherry, peach and pecan; cobblers:  blackberry and strawberry

Still cloudy, with only a 30% chance of rain showers, still to come in around 2 p.m.  Everyone enjoy your afternoon and will try to get back in here sometime later this afternoon, evening.

Good Morning!!

And on that note..I'd like to say that we are experiencing some sun, some cloud, and a bit of rain later on...high of 66F expected this afternoon.

Going to spend part of the day at our local food bank helping out...without doing heavy lifting here...

Have a good day!!

Good Friday morning all.  60 degrees here in Louisville this morning, going for a high today in the mid to upper 70s, I think is what I heard awhile ago.  Rain is forecast to be in here after 2 p.m.

Mookie, I'll send you an email note later today.

Coffee, juices, hot chocolate, hot cider and hot water for hot tea are fresh and ready to go.  Have a selection of doughnuts on the counter:  cake, yeast, cho. covered, choc. covered, cream filled long johns; apple, peach, cherry, raspberry, cheese danish; along with bacon, sausage, eggs, biscuits & gravy.  Something for everyone this morning.

Mookie, haven't really noticed the trees around here starting to turn.  Do see a few trees that the leaves have started turning brown, but that's about the extent of the color change so far.

Everyone have a good morning, take care and I'll see you sometime this afternoon.

CW - what type of work did you have done?

Visited with landlord yesterday - he is eyeing the house next to our duplex.  It would be a good one for flip this house - tear it out to the studs and rebuild.  It was born in 1927, but possibly has good bones - most of the old houses here in the city do.  It just sometimes takes some doing to get them back to being livable.  This one was pretty trashed.

78 today - 75 tomorrow and 65 for game day.  Trees actually starting to turn - with drought I am surprised!

Good Thursday morning all.  We're waking up to a temp of 49 degrees, going to be back up in the 70s this afternoon.  Trap and Uba did not like being in the carrier for four 5 hours yesterday!  As a matter of fact, I've got scratches from Uba, as she didn't want anything to do with the carrier; Trapper, just went right on in, and curled down.  After workers left, we finally got things put to right.  I didn't get to bed until after 11 p.m.  That was a looooong day, believe you me.

Coffee, juices, hot water for hot tea, hot cider and hot chocolate ready to go.  On the breakfast-warmer bar this morning:  bacon, sausage links, biscuits, gravy, scrambled eggs, oatmeal and toast.

Larry, will be keeping your Mom on my prayer list!  Hope she's doing better this morning.  Know she's glad to be back home.

Everyone have a good morning, take care, and see you all later.

Ms Mook - I'll trade the 100 here in Phoenix for your 37.  You can always add clothes, but people frown upon removing too many...

Mom's surgery went well, although it was a little more involved than orgininally planned.  So she's feeling a bit more pain than anticipated, but she's home after an unplanned overnight stay at the hospital.  While the doc wants her to get some exercise, right now the recliner is the most desirable place to be for her.  I'll try to pry her out of it tomorrow, at least for a short stroll.

Had to add a wifi hotspot to my phone (no Internet here at Mom's), but I'm sure I'll be pushing my data limit soon, so time to go!
