Bucyrus I really like the Carolina Chocolate Drops. This is antique Americana style music. Not only are these people excellent musicians, but they are also sort of like music historians who collect the old style music and recreate it to show us what it was like and to use it to develop their own new music. And they are so dedicated to it that they seem to add a whole new dimension of energy and style to the historic fabric. It packs quite a punch for just being acoustic. This is in an old church building in New Orleans. That banjo player, Dom Flemmons almost seems like he is playing the role of some old time picker from around 1900. I think their stuff is best at half size screen with the volume turned all the way up. COUNTRY GIRL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzq56xBPXhY&feature=endscreen&NR=1

Yes, I never get tired of watching that performance. The music and their passion is almost multi-dimensional. It is amazing how much power is in dedication and humility. Those ones I posted on the previous page and this one are my favorites. They have had different members come and go. I think this is their best configuration.
It is not often that this much talent busts upon the music scene. They have been said to be the best music duo since Simon and Garfunkel.
Here is a nice train song in a deeply metaphorical sense

My Father’s Father
I hear something hanging on the windI see black smoke up around the bendI've got my ticket and I'm going to go homeThe leaves have changed a time or twoSince the last time a train came throughI've got my ticket and I'm going to go homeMy Father's father's blood is on the trackA sweat refain drifts in from the pastI've got my ticket and I'm going to go homeThe winding roads they led me hereBurn like coal and dry like tearsSo here's my hopeMy tired soulAnd here's my ticket I want to go homeHome, home, home
I think this is the best concert of The Civil Wars with most of their best songs. In the comment section at the top, it gives the titles and you can click on the blue time stamp next to them to move directly to them. The time stamp comes after each title.
It is very high quality, but sometimes it has to burp a little to clear itself up. It might take a little time to get sharp and stabilize. Once that happens, it stays stable no matter what part you play.
The audience contributes a lot of energy to the concert.

Thanks Murray...it is a beauty. I've had some beautiful pic's of it for some time now...Check my facebook...and articles in major auto magazines that I have subscriptions to. It appears to me a very beautiful design....The best since the beginning of the Vet...Perticularly, the '57 model. Thanks for a heads up re; the article.

Guy on the next block over has an old Vette…the one with the dual headlights and the removable hardtop…
That is a classic design, looks just as cool now as when it was new.
Looks fantastic with the hardtop on, one of the few removable hardtops that works right with the rest of the car!
The car is all original, motor, tranny and interior is just like it came from the factory, his dad bought it new, and he is the second owner.
Fire engine red with everything else chrome, you can hear him start it from the next block over, not loud, but powerful sounding, has that slight lope to the idle that tells you he keeps it tuned to run, and run fast.

Hi Ed:
Know what you are referring to with the hardtop on the early models. Mine was a '57 and I had both tops, and it made it sound like a completely different car when the hardtop was installed...I had a small hoist in the garage to pull it off or hang there for brief time. The car became more solid....like a coupe, instead of the feelings of a convertible. Those were very nice hardtops.
Loved the car too.....
I have a friend down here who has a bright orange 71 Corvette.
That is a hardtop though......
So did Eleanor take the train to Nevada and dedicate what is now known as area 51 ? ?

Hmmmm...That's an interesting question.
Mrs. Roosevelt wishes to recognize the service of our Veterans (past and present) on this Veterans Day.
Townsville will seem like it has gone through a time warp. Troop trains will be arriving, 1940s music playing, even Eleanor Roosevelt's visit to the town will be re-enacted. The Museum of Tropical Queensland will mount an exhibition of the actual battle.

acyrologiaAn incorrect use of words - particulately replacing one word with another word that sounds similar but has a diffident meaning - possibly fuelled by a deep seeded desire to sound more educated, witch results in an attempt to pawn off an incorrect word in place of a correct one.In academia, such flaunting of common social morays is seen as almost sorted and might result in the offender becoming a piranha, in the Monday world, after all is set and done, such a miner era will often leave normal people unphased. This is just as well sense people of that elk are unlikely to tow the line irregardless of any attempt to better educate them.A small percentage, however, suffer from severe acyrologiaphobia, and it is their upmost desire to see English used properly.Exposure may cause them symptoms that may resemble post -dramatic stress disorder and, eventually, descend into whole-scale outrage as they go star-craving mad. Eventually, they will succumb to the stings and arrows of such a barrage, and suffer a complete metal breakdown, leaving them curled up in the feeble position.
