Could be, but I'd like to see a citation, when, where, etc.

I saw references to the exchange you reference. This comment was made during WWII. All those high hopes of what a post war world would be like unfortunately turned into a cold war.
You are pretty far off the mark:

She was at the center of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in the late 1940's, and took on the Soviet repreentative:
She challenged the up to then quasi-exclusively internal or domestic nature of the treatment by a State of its nationals. Vishinsky the Soviet representative had burst out:"This is outrageous; you can't infringe the rights of governments; they're the things thatmatter."
And Eleanor Roosevelt had turned to him and said "Mr. Vishinsky, we're notdealing here with the rights of governments, they're far too much already. We're dealinghere, Mr. Vishinsky, with the rights of people, of men, of the right of man to be free.Man, Mr. Vishinsky, not governments."
She won that debate.
I can not find verification, but I believe Eleanor described the Soviet Union as one of the world's great democracies. In all fairness to Eleanor, that was during the early 1940's when through rail service from Berlin to Moscow was interrupted.
Victrola1 House Transportation Committee Chair Rep. John Mica (R) of Florida said previous administration grants to high-speed rail projects were a failure, producing "snail speed trains to nowhere." He called Amtrak a "Soviet-style train system" and said it "hijacked" nearly all the administration's rail projects. http://news.yahoo.com/s/csm/362107;_ylt=AvYzYYjVzKg23lvFrwT1UctzfNdF Would Eleanor approve of a Soviet-style train system?

Modelcar I have seen pictures of Pres. Roosevelt in a '36 Ford convertible, wonder if that's the one you might be referring to...? Murray: Actually it was a Ford V8 model that FDR drove when he was down at Warm Springs, Georgia. It was outfitted with hand controls.

Was there a lift to load Franklin onto the Presidential private railroad car, or did the Secret Service lift him in out of sight?

This explains why Chrysler front wheel drive transmissions fail.
Franklin had trouble operating a clutch pedal. I have read Franklin had hand controls installed in his car. Was it a Plymouth, or a Packard?

Eleanor Roosevelt wishes all of you a most blessed and happy Thanksgiving.
She would also like to remind us all of our less fortunate friends and family, who may not be able to enjoy the holiday.

Prosperity is elusive. Save and speedy means of holiday travel your government is working on.

“I think the tighter we get on aviation, we have to also be thinking now about going on to mass transit or to trains or maritime. So, what do we need to be doing to strengthen our protections there?”

The Big Sis in D. C. is preparing to decree. How long until this is implemented on Amtrak and Greyhound?
Is surrendering liberty at home a signal to those who would invade to do so abroad?
Bucyrus The most obvious culprit is China. They wanted us to see the missile launch, and see how close to California they could pull it off. They are very irritated over our new QE2 fed monetary policy. It will basically rip them off as holders of our debt. A few years ago, they threatened to nuke Los Angeles over some other much less significant little issue they were unhappy about. So when they saber-rattle, they seem to think of California. Our officials got the message, but they don’t want to tell us, because if our public finds out, it will intensify China’s message. More importantly, it would raise a call for some kind of response to China. Moreover, if our country publicly called China on the launch, they could just deny it. Or, if we recovered pieces of a Chinese missile, they could say that we staged it to make China look bad.

In the two weeks following this message, it seems that I am not the only one who came to this conclusion. Nothing can be confirmed by the media, but there is a lot of buzz on the internet that this was China sending us a message. Actually, I think it was not so much a matter of sending us a message, as it was a test of our reaction.
What happened this morning between North and South Korea was a continuation of the same test. The sinking of the South Korean ship earlier this year was part of the test. On the surface, these incidents appear to be a conflict between North and South Korea, but actually they are a test of U.S. resolve by China. The appearance that North Korea is an independent rogue that China can't control is an illusion that China has cultivated just to play these kinds of games with us.
China’s test is to find out how far we can be pushed before we defend South Korea. With that knowledge, China can gage whether they can take back Taiwan without causing us to go to war with them.
Victrola1 Will it come to rail as well?
Will it come to rail as well?
Of course it will. Why would it not? It will expand to more than just air and rail.
The enemy has learned that the best tool in their arsenal is Janet Napolitano.
