^ ..........TT.....milk..........
Ssssh! Mookie's gone back to sleep! Let's all be very, very quiet.
We have a current temp of 54 degrees, with light rain. Supposed to get up in the low to mid 60s today.
Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go. On the serving station, you'll find BLTs this morning, along with bagels, bear claws, sausage, eggs, etc.
If anyone has a request for lunch, let me know; otherwise, we'll probably have either a Mexican Fiesta or maybe tuna parmasean casserole.
In any case, I'll see you all after I get through with Tuesday Produce.
Good morning from Carolina. 56 degrees and cloudy. Not sure of the max temp today, but thunderstorms forecast for this afternoon and tonight. Ah well.........
The lady next door has a whistle that she uses to call her dogs. Her dogs don't seem to hear it, but mine sure do. We had a proper hullabaloo here about half an hour ago, which woke up the wife with the expected eruption. Hopefully, she is asleep again.....
Has anyone heard from Justin lately? Not sure about on this forum, but he hasn't been on FaceBook for two weeks or so.
Everyone take care.

Attention, Mudchicken. We have your snow. You can have it back.
Sheesh - April 27th in northern NY, and it's snowing. Sticking a bit, too, but only to grass and such. No traffic problems. Thermometer says 33 degrees.
Guess I won't be mowing the lawn today. I do have work to do in the garage, though. Gonna have to dig out the propane heater.

You can thank me for all of that!
It was raining with a temperature of 42 degrees here yesterday. 10 degrees cooler and we could have had snow too. Now we have a chance of severe thunderstorms on Thursday. Typical Nebraska weather.

Well, no snow, for sure....but it's cooler than I'd like it to be. Upper 40's this morning and probably will hit low 60's later. That's a change from forecasts earlier. They were talking about a pretty good warm up for today. Light overcast now, but the sun is getting thru part of the time.
I too want to do a mowing today.....{the 9th, this season}, but I'll need my sweat shirt. Grass is growing now so thick it has to be done every 3 days. I really don't mind that, as I really want it to be nice.
Right after lunch, it will be a trip to our optometrist for installing my new lens. Might get my new Workz "edger / trimmer" out after mowing and touch things up a bit.....If it's comfortable and not too windy and cool.
.....And so the day is started, actually well under way....Will have to find lunch someplace when we're out.
Quentin
Well, Produce wasn't too bad this morning, even with the rain. We only had about 35 people, so we were done, and I was back home at 9:20. On the truck today: potatoes, bags of leaf lettuce, cabbage and green sweet bell peppers.
Today's menu:
On the MEXICAN FIESTA side: tacos, burritos, Spanish rice and refried beans, w/chopped lettuce w/diced tomatoes
On the Other Side: Tuna parmesean casserole w/garden salad, broccoli w/cheee sauce
I think the rain is out of here, at least for now. Need to remember and call my nephew tomorrow evening (my sister's son), and wish a Happy Birthday to his youngest son. Think he'll be 13 or 14 tomorrow. Geesh, how time flies!
Everyone enjoy and have a good afternoon. Anyone who has snow, can keep it!!
afternoon
well the swamp is mowed. There was still a little water in the back yard by the park.Hooked up some solar lights mom bought for the back porch.matt has his homework done.Time to get cleaned up and ready for work tonight.Cw thanks for supper.weather guessers are saying things could be frosty in the morning.
I had a busy day, for me. I drove my older sister into the Quad Cities for dr. appointment, shopped for her. Then came home and used the weed eater for a while & mowed two lawns. Barbara wanted to know if we could record LOST and watch it tomorrow. Great idea. I'm going to bed early... Hy-Vee had really nice grapes today.

Good morning. 50 and sunny in Carolina this lovely day. Supposedly, it will top out around 72, but clear skies for the next few days. We had a loud but short lived thunderstorm last night. The kind I like.Waiting to hear from the quack's office to see if I have an appointment later. Everyone take care
Over the winter, I went to my doctor with pains in my right thumb. He asked the questions, then said it just might be old age. I told him my left thumb is the same age and it does'nt give me any trouble. He had never heard that one before. We had a good laugh. A specialist gave me an injection in just the right place and fixed it right up. Note to CW. We are rooting for you when you do your PT.
Afternoon all.
Really cool here in western Indiana, and I wonder where I put the warm weather? LOL. I have a job now, so I don’t have much time on the PC. I really miss having supper CW!
Bad news has come to the Lafayette area. Norfolk Southern has started using Remote Controlled locomotives. I hate to say it, but I think the darn things are unsafe. There are signs at every crossing in town that state that there are remote controlled locomotives in use, and that there is a chance that no one will be in the locomotive cab. Oh well, life goes on I suppose.
Have a good day all.
Justin

......A beautiful bright clear day here in Indiana....Bright sunshine of course.
Beautiful new green leaves, and some blossoms remain, but most have turned into green leaves....
Surprising, we had light frost on our newly mowed lawn this morning. But the temp was 38 when I first checked. Guess the difference of ground temp and the normal {5' height}, for my outside transmitter made the difference.
Warming some since then,,,,,but can't complain....it's just that pretty around the area....
Afternoon, everybody. I had a very early PT session this morning. My ride showed up just around 7:30 this morning, so I did not make it in here this a.m. Brought home an aid for my at home therapy work: a stretch band, that I have to connect to the door, sit in a chair, and twist to the opposite side, stretching, with my hands crossed across my chest. I do that on each side, for two minutes each.
Joe, thank you very much for taking care of breakfast this morning. We also had a very cool morning this morning: 41 degrees, which meant people had to scrape their windshields.
For the rest of the day, here is our menu:
1. Open face roast beef sandwiches w/mashed taters, beef gravy, green beans, corn and your choice of garden salad or cole slaw.
2. Tuna parmesean casserole with above mentioned veggies.
Now, I'll be off to the library to pick up a couple of books that are in, and return 3 books we've finished reading.
Everyone have a good afternoon, and take care.
busy day.Mowed in town and then saw an S 501 come by.I also heard the dispatcher talking to an S 324.So that would be 2 trains to cincinnati(sw wye) and 2 to toledo(nw wye).Cw breakfast was no problem.you keep things prepped in case of an emergency. Thanks for supper.time to get cleaned up and get things around for work.

I got back home from tomorrow morning's walk a few minutes ago (nasty weather–rain/snow with early April temperature is expected tomorrow morning). Today's high (at 12:01 a.m.) was 58o; at 7:00 the temperature was 50o, and it was 38o at 8:30, with rain and some snow. It was a little better this afternoon–no rain and a little warmer. We expect our late April cold snap to continue through the weekend.

Evening all.....
I'm convinced the boys over at Weatherliar U are sadists, what with the interesting weather the country has had the last few days, if it's not storming, it's cold, or there are 60mph winds (heard I-40 near Winslow was closed today due to blowing dust). I'm also convinced that one of these days my truck is going to disintegrate like in the Blues Brothers movie, went to use my diesel fired heater last night, and it tried to burn the truck down (luckily, safety system in heater prevented that from happening). Would give a whole new meaning to the phrase 'light a fire under that guy's butt', though....
Oh well, just one of those days, will have dinner, then to bed......

Nice sunny day today. Cool, windy, but sunny.
Paid a visit to daughter today to do a test fitting for the child gate I'm making for her. After lunch with her and grandson, we sat and played with grandson for a bit. He found mom's cell phone (not quite a year old and already knows how it works, more or less - dad gets calls). Papa showed grandson that his phone plays music. After some entertaining "dancing" it was nap time and Papa had to head for home. I do fear, however, that I may have created a monster.
On the plus side, the grandson does appear to like classic rock....
I'm beat. Time for bed.
Good Thursday morning, everyone. Larry, hope you are completely rested this morning, from your time with grandson.
I seem to be a bit on the sleepy side this morning. Had the alarm set for 5 a.m., woke up at 3:15 a.m. But did manage to fall back to sleep, until the alarm went off.
Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go, along with hot water for our hot tea drinkers.
On the serving station this morning: turkey bacon, pork sausage, scrambled eggs, hash brown taters, made from scratch buttermilk biscuits w/sausage gravy. And yes, there's also some bagels and bear claws.
Everyone have a good morning, and Mookie, here's your coffee mug. I'll meet your over at the rockers!!
Just noticed my barometer needle fell off the charts. Went from about 30.1 to now 29.1 Still not sure if we will get any rain out of this, but every one of my joints tells me.....I should have another cup of coffee....
Don't have enough ambition to have any news, so....I will assume the position - ^~^

another nice day here in nw ohio.Cw thanks for supper.Tonight is friday.Cw I have some stuff boxed up for Saturdays move.I am going to get a quick nap after work.matt has an early dismissal and it looks good to go watch some trains tomorrow afternoon in deshler.
Evening, everyone! Looks like we've had a very slow day in here. Like Walt and myself, guess everyone's out enjoying the weather? Except, maybe Mookie: guess she's bundled under covers, keeping herself warm!
For supper tonight, here's the 'menu':
Sloppy joes w/fries and salad, or you can have burgers/cheeseburgers, fries and salad.
We got up to the mid 70s today, with breezy conditions. Bet in downtown Louisville, they're having a hard time keeping the balloons in the parade up in the air, and not crashing down onto wires and the crowd of people lined up watching the parade.
Tomorrow, we're supposed to get up to about 84, and then the rain and possible storms coming in Saturday morning. They say be noon, we'll have at least an inch of rain, and by the time they have the Run for the Roses, at least 2 to 4 inches? Hope some of those horses entered are Mudders!
Oh Willy!
Er um, William......Get thee post haste down the halls of good old WeatherLiar U. ......Methinks thou hast created the most foul (fowl?) of situations in thou's weather laboratory. .....Thy experiment doth hast run amok. Liquid dirt followed by snow (to smear the dirt), followed by snirt and back to snow. Lurch now has a most noticable tan and freckles.
Lady Mookster's bloomers are about to get frosted which will drive her to fly her broomstick right over to fair Omaha to skewer your armour yellow toucas....Be fairwarned!, her internal weather device hath alerted her.

Oh my goodness! Such an uproar over the weather! And you better be careful, Sir Muddy Feathers, or Mookie will fly on her broomstick to pay you a visit too!
Ahem: Lady Mookster has a whole lot of noise (this time it isn't the house across the driveway), only a sneeze of moisture and looks like all this is heading straight for Chi Town and maybe the good city of Brian of Iowa.
It looks to be possibly missing Willy, 2.....
Sir C! You stole our thunder!
My broomstick??? My broomstick!!!!! I will show you the business end of "my broomstick", you wet, frozen featherduster!
