Those are nice Randy...pretty expensive tho! One of those might have to go on the Dodge toy when funds permit.
Think I'll throw some ham 'n bacon in the crock pot...should be ready for a late breakfast around 9 or so. I'll top off the coffee pot, OJ, and milk containers for the morning. All someone has to to is turn on the coffee so it'll be hot! There's 10 lbs of bacon, 14 dozen eggs, and 8 lbs of corned beef hash ready to be fried sitting in the fridge. Let's see...dishes are done, hammocks and chairs cleaned...that should be about it. See everyone after a nap!

I agree with you, Dan, nothing like 4wd in the snow, especially with half a ton of engine sitting directly over the front axle!!
Speaking of 4wd trucks, if you're looking for a bombproof front or rear bumper, check these guys out: http://www.buckstop.biz I dont think it can get much heavier than these: 1/4 inch steel center section, 3/16 inch outer section, built in winch mount, 2-inch reciever, and removeable grille guard. As soon as I can get enough money saved up, I want to get these for my truck.
Copcarss, hope you manage to get home before Christmas, sounds like Denver has a real big mess on it's hands right now.
See everyone later.....

Last night, if you looked at a satellite image, there was just a solid band of clouds and precip lifting up out of the Gulf of Mexico into this storm system. This system really has an incredible amount of moisture, but the cold air is limited to the western third of the system. Still, Omaha could pick up some snow tomorrow night, but not nearly as much as I would like.

You want the boys to (a) pull (b) go on command and (c) all in the same direction at the same time??
It's already too late. All you can see of da boyz is their furry black flagpoles and the tips of their ears.

Hey Willy.
All this moisture is a result of a moisture pipeline headed up from Houston Ed's neck of the woods, right? Hey Ed, can you tell someone to turn off the tap? I think we're good!

Do you mean that song that contains the lyrics "Home for the holidays"? Thanks to you, I can't get it out of my mind now. Okay, everyone, all together now...

The dim bulb schmucks over at Denver RTD that run the toy trains (light rail) are discovering too late that they should have installed switch heaters for the second time this year. The "dragons" on the freight railroads are earning their keep right now in plain view of the stranded passengers on the toy trains.
DIA (aka "Bagdad on the Prairie") is indeed in Western Kansas. Most folks don't want to believe that half of Colorado is flat, so I guess the Kansas Territory that Colorado was carved out of in 1876 will be getting some real estate returned. Most folks also tend to think that Denver is the only town in Colorado. (The tourism marketing folks did too good a brainwashing job...)
Placing an advance order for an industrial strength serving of hot cider. The snow shovel is going to get a workout tonight...
Mookie, I keep telling you, I don't look up because I might get hit by something on the ground!!
Not too much else going on in this neck of the woods, we're down to our final order of 100 UPS trailers for the year, should be done with them by a week from today, even with having the 25th and 26th off (day shift gets Friday off, too). Have not heard yet on any news for 2007 in the trailer industry, hoping for another big year, but one can never tell in this business....
I think someone will have to give me a copy of that story, because I do not remember hearing it. Oh well......

Western Kansas has an airport?

Well, since it looks like no one has any special requests today, you all will have to be content with whatever I fix for you. Which is now on the stove/top and in the Crock Pot:
2. Leftover dumplings to go with some grilled boneless skinless chicken breasts w/sides of green beans, baked potatoes and garden salad.
Desserts today: chocolate cake, Christmas cookies, fresh out of the oven this morning, which have been iced and decrated, and we've got egg nog and boiled custard. And the egg nog is non-alcoholic, so don't even go there.
Chris, hope the weather clears up enough, so that you can catch your flight home.

Morning All,
Well I believe the powers that be at Amtrak must've heard me bad mouthing them lately. It would seem they hooked up with their buddies at NOAA and NASA to order up a good old fashioned upslope blizzard the day before I'm supposed to fly out of here. Read that to mean: The airport will likely be shut down with 2 feet of snow and winds at 30 or better (and the airport is in Western Kansas, so the wind blows quite freely). Doh!
