For anyone who doesn't want doughnuts this morning, I've got some sausage/egg/cheese biscuits made up, with home made hash browns.

It's 38 °F. outside as I type this.  Shock [:O]

Joe, thanks for making the coffee and juice, and putting the doughnuts out.  Wish Matt  "Good Luck" for us all, in his pageant this morning.  Know he'll do a good job.

Everyone have a great day, and I'll be back in after awhile, with the SUNDAY DINNER menu for this afternoon/evening.

Calzones are actually pretty good, used to have them for lunch when I worked for Montgomery Wards, we'd go out into the mall food court and get them hot and fresh.  It's essentially a pizza pot pie, for lack of a better description.

Spent the last few hours online playing poker for free, was playing HORSE, bascially is Texas Hold 'em, Omaha hi/lo, Razz, 7 card stud, and 7 card stud hi/lo, changes games every ten hands.  Need to get my sanity back, though, it's a thinking man's game, and my brain is cooked!!!

I'll take some pepperoni/sausage, please.  See everyone later.

Okay, I've got the pizzas made, cooked, and on the warmer bar.  Here is the menu for tonight:

1.  Canadian Bacon
2.  Cheese
3.  Goetta
4.  Hawaiian
5.  Pepperoni/Sausage
6.  Pepperoni/Mushroom
7.  Supreme

For dessert tonight, your choices are:  chocolate cake, pecan pie, cherry pie and an apple pizza pie dessert.

Dan, I haven't quite mastered making a stuffed crust yet; but, when I do, I'll be sure and let you know.

CW,

I need to make sure that I get my order in for the Goetta Pizza early. One large with a Dr. Pepper

Headed out in a few minutes. Not to many days in the 60's in the middle of December and it's to be 65 on Sunday.

I don't get any better than that

It looks like Omaha could get its first measurable snowfall next Wednesday. There's still a lot of uncertainty in the forecast and right now I expect that the moisture will end up just south of us preventing us from getting anything more than a couple of flurries. It does bear watching, though.

Oh-oh- if you think it's going just south of you, guess where it'll wind up... I better get the snowblower serviced and running!

Of course this morning's computer model runs show it going right on top of us which means that we could get dry slotted and end up with just some rain and then nothing much else. I'm not going to be happy if this system doesn't give us a good snow. If this latest set of data holds true, then about the same thing may happen to you. It is still five days away; a whole lot could change.

Joe - I would say that it is too early to give you any amounts, but I think some snow is certainly possible by next Thursday or Friday in Ohio. It looks like temperatures could be borderline rain/snow, though.

Dan - Congratualtions! Thumbs Up [tup]

.............Unusual here this morning....a bit warmer than {C W}, Louisville.  43 degrees at 8 am.  Bright sunshine is about to shine right on my computer screen.  Should be a nice day.  {OOPS}, Correction....must be a bit early to look at the instrument....It is 34, not the warmer temp quoted first...But, the sun IS  shining....That part is still correct.

I hear the breakfast call.....

Good Saturday morning, to all!  Joe, thanks for getting the coffee, juice, etc., ready, and thanks for fixing the rolls, etc. this morning.

Dan and Willy, congrats on your classes.  I wish you both good luck!!

It's a little chilly here in Louisville this morning, with a temp of 39, when I awoke at 7.

Joe, know Matt is will terrific in the Christmas pageant.  Been in quite a few of them, in my teen years, in the youth, teen and Church choirs.  I know all the work they really put into them.

Everyone have a great day, and come back safely for the SATURDAY NIGHT PIZZA FEST.

I've got a fresh batch of all  the kinds of fish, and the sides ready on the warmer bar for this evening's supper (lunch for those on the west coast).  So, grab a plate, fill it up with plenty of good food, and go grab a seat at a table or booth.

//Staggers into diner, collapses into booth//

Ah, this feels a bit more comfortable.....

Was a little rough last night at work, had to plumb some units that had everything but the kitchen sink installed on them, took some extra time to get them all plumbed.  Aside from the usual brakes and air suspension, they had air slider release and a continous tire inflation system to install and plumb.

Will take some cod for the fish fry, with fries and tartar sauce.  Some caffenated, carbonated beverage would be nice too, probably Mountain Dew.  Might have to hit the couch in the back room after this again.........

After returning from WWII, my last surviving uncle went to work in station operations for Northwest Airlines at Chicago Midway then moved to Minneapolis, Seattle, Honolulu; Naha, Okinawa and Seoul, Korea.  When he left the airline, he settled in Seattle.  A little up from you, I know, but he always said "Where else can you wake on a morning off work and have to choose between sailing, golf or snow skiing."  Understand that there are also trains and good shopping.  Enjoy.

Jay, it's all very true. Out here, you could even change sailing to swimming for a few months of the year (Arapahoe Basin Ski Area usually trys to stay open until 4th of July...they make it some of the time, too!). Meanwhile, your story of mixed recreational activities reminded me of one.

When I was little, I remember watching one of my Dad's slideshows from his pre-family days. I remember one picture where he was swimming in a river that still had ice on it. I was most impressed, and resolved to do that some day. Fast forward about 15 years. My friend Ethan and I were out hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park. We got up to Black Lake, and lo and behold, the lake was about half ice and half open water. I decided that it was time to follow in my Dad's footsteps. Removing all but my boxers, I decided against wading in slowly and just jumped in. I cannot tell you how cold that water was! I managed to survive around 2 minutes or so...long enough for Ethan to get a picture of me, and then I had to get out.

The next time I was in Chicagoland, I was showing the slides from that outing to some of my relatives. I got to that picture, and told the same story as above. All of a sudden, my uncle just started laughing uncontollably. I asked what's so funny. In between guffaws and even a couple tears I learned that the shot I had seen so long ago of my dad had been taken while he was swimming in the Firehole River in Yellowstone National Park. As the name and place imply, the Firehole River has Geothermal 'Hot Spots.' So while my Dad was swimming in a river that did have ice on it, the water he was swimming in was no where near freezing. Doh!

Made my list for Santa:  New Red Mookie Mobile Convertible - for getting around in the diner.

New kibble bowl - I figure about a 3 quart will do.

Need a new bib - drug the other one through the ketchup going for a fry on Matt's plate - stained it terribly.
