So true Mr. Hadid,
I have to work the morning shift tomorrow, it will be raining, might even get a snow flake or two.
Hey, it's Houston, Texas for goodness sake, so snow, even one or two flakes, is a rare and odd thing!
But no one forced me to go railroading, and I have a job I love, instead of working in the daily grind, so...
But there will be a bunch of guys who gripe about having to work on a holiday...
They should be thankful instead...thankful they live in a country where they can choose what job they go to, and thankful, as Mr. Hadid pointed out, that no one is shooting at them for going to work.
So for those out there wearing the uniform, my most sincere thanks for making sure my wife and kids still have the right to choose...the right to choose our religious beliefs, the right to choose our jobs, where we live, and who we associate with.
For the other railroaders out there who have to work, stay cut in, keep safe, get home when you can, and remember why you went railroading in the first place, because you love it!
By the way, Mr. Hadid, how did you like Houston's light humidity?
Not too bad for a swamp....
Merry Christmas you guys, stay safe...
