I'll also make biscuits and gravy to go along with the sausage! Joe, Walt might
like a couple of the blueberry pancakes.

Why do some people think it is exceptable to put down others? I was in a thread and up to now the debate was going peaceful and than some guy attacks my music that I have worked really hard at perfecting. I don't know what gives people the right to think that this is O.K. Very upset right now.[V][:(]

Hi there, whomever is in the diner. I've been out in the sun since 11:50, "manning"
a finger painting booth at our community Fun Health Fair. The kids were all cute,
making messes everywhere! Two of our city fire depts. each had a piece of apparatus
there. There was a female firefighter who was passing out the little plastic hats to
the little ones. She even gave me one to try to help keep the sun off me!!

Since I'm so tired and worn out, who is planning what for supper??

Junctionfan, it's not okay for people to put others down. Not only is it not okay, it
shows very poor manners. Some people get their thrills by putting others down.
Do you remember what the thread was? I'm not sure I even saw that particular
thread.

Thanks Randy. I might do that later. I only know you through the forum but you seem to be a nice person who can cheer people up when they feel down. I'm glad you aren't the only one.

It is not acceptable to put others down. Yes, we may disagree from time to time;
that's understandable: we're all human. But none of us should make anyone
else feel lower than a snake. I, for one, no matter who else cares, was interested
in that article. [:)]

It is not ok. Sorry to hear about it.

I appreciate all kinds of music with the exception of Opra. I guess you have to acquire that, and I never have.

Tonight I am trying to decide which to listen to:

1) Verdi Messa Di Requiem

OR

2) Beethoven Symphony # 5 in C minor OP67

Hard decision, I might have to listen to both. [:D]

Am trying to think of something really good today. Need some ideas, folks.

And Jim, don't worry: when or if you come over, I'll make sure Walt uses his Frito
Lay Doritos apron and not his Kiss the Cook apron.

Better make it a big grill! This is the most summerlike day we've had all year, and here it is September already. I am definitely looking forward to the taste of barbecue sauce on my dinner today.

(Speaking of that, one of the traditions of my union's local is a picnic on Labor Day for all railroaders and their families--plenty of hot dogs, Polish or Italian sausage, and Italian beef, root beer, draft beer, fun and games, etc. A picnic grove is rented for the day at a nearby Forest Preserve--nice place, with a large lake, walking and biking paths, and other amenities. It's entirely free, paid for by our dues. It's often attended by retirees and other former employees--a great way to stay in touch. I can't attend this year--ironically, I have to work on Labor Day, and so does my wife!)

Carl

Railroader Emeritus (practiced railroading for 46 years--and in 2010 I finally got it right!)

CAACSCOCOM--I don't want to behave improperly, so I just won't behave at all. (SM)

I don't know how frazzled it makes you but it does me. Some people in the forum sound to me that they have little respect with my opinions or what I have to say. Some people over-react and accused me of trying to undermind them. I wonder if I would get such reaction if I had several doctorates from Yale, Harvard and Princeton. I am reminded of what a newspaper comentary said about this......Would Mozart's music sound better if he had a Ph.D?

It's been my experience that some people, rather than trying to rise to the level of another person, will instead try to lower the other person to their level. Thus they must resort to criticism and put-downs. The reason may be jealousy, inadequacy, they feel somehow threatened, or who knows, but in the end the true story usually comes out.

Can't let them get to you, or they have succeeded...

<Edit>Just spent some time looking through the "UP Repo" thread, and can't find one spot where your music was put down. As for your other postings, as always, opinions are fair game.<End Edit>

I was read through the Book of Revelations and it says that in a thousand years, Satan will be released from his prison and bring forth an apocolypse.

Does that mean he is here since it is past 2000 or does it mean that plus it must also be on the 6th day of the 6th month of the 6th year- June 6 2006?

Hot here today HOT HOT HOT !!!!!!!

101 in Long Beach yesterday and it will be over that again in Pasadena again today, up to 107 in parts of LA today Holy Smoking Asphalt!

Yesterday went to the 25th Long Beach Blues Festivale, great show! Clarence Carter, Little Milton , Leon Rustle and my fav' Buddy Guy, but the HEAT was horrible! no breeze till around 2pm wow!

At least we dont have to deal with the hurricanes though shee***wo in as many weeks, and another on the ay for next weekend!

out here were all waiting for the earthquake predictions to happen. Scientist predict a 6+ earthquake for the south-eastern part of the state, problem is the prediction window ended yesterday, but they also predicted the Northridge earthquake but missed the window buy a few days so we are still expecting it, This unusual heat is EARTHQUAKE WEATHER!

   Have fun with your trains
