I was going to come in for a burger tonight, but with somebody laid out until he's sober, and all of this smokin', drinkin', and carousin' going on, I'll have to wait until the place airs out!

My baby girl says that she and her fiance will investigate Hamburger Heaven, a walk-up place in Elmhurst (with picnic tables outside); I think we'll join them. Maybe watch some trains afterwards.

Hey guys, did you like the roast, potatoes, carrots and green beans? The roast was
really tender: melt-in-your-mouth tender. Did I get too much pepper in the beans?
I always put in some crushed red pepper flakes, along with regular black pepper.

Was too full for dessert, but ice cream does sound good. [angel]

Had a delicious dinner tonight... buttered noodles and boiled eggs. Sometimes the simplest meals are the best!

I don't drink coffee, so please pardon me if this doesn't work. But wouldn't it be interesting to add (instead of cinnamon or other such spices) an herb such as catnip, for flavoring?

Boy, had leftovers last night, but might just have to partake anyhow.

The Aunts are cleaning out the pantry at the cottage prior to heading south - plenty of good food (too much). Few takers for the leftover beets, though, until it was discovered that the dog was fond of them....

Skipped breakfast this AM, settled for brunch - on vacation. No sense wasting all that good sleeping-in time!

Larry, you can send the beets to me: especially if they are pickled beets. I love 'em,
and they are so good! [angel]

P.S. Hope you enjoy your vacation!![8D][8D]

Well, wouldn't you just know a dog would eat beets! They have no taste!

Been coming in during the early hours and raiding the fridge - get some interesting meals that way! Sometimes I get them outside under a street light and they are really interesting!

Meatloaf today for lunch! Mmmmmm.

What does a Tree do when they go on vacation? What do they sit under to read? What do they use for shade?

(Wow, somebody must have put something in my Post Toasties this morning ......)

I like a little beets, but not a whole lot of them. To me they could always use just a dash of sugar though, as they are rather bland.

Mookie, you are right! Dogs have no sense of taste, they just gooble. We won't
even think about a garbage disposal,so long as we have our dog. Besides,
regular dog food that she gets everyday, sometimes there are a few leftovers,
and we have yet to see what won't eat.[:)]

When we got our computer,my sis told us about the optical mouse,
so we got one of the optical ones, and put the one that came with the
computer in the printer cabinet, for back up. We love it,and you don't
actually have to have a meese pad if you don't want.[:)]

Not ready for wireless though.[:(]

Hey Kozzie, how goes the "Cat Who" book?
Hope you are enjoying.
We're just waiting for a new one to come out.
And in case we didn't say,the one about the trains,
is "The Cat Who Blew The Whistle"[:)]

Walt! Just finished it - quite a good read. They're all good as Paula says, but some seem to have had a little more effort put into them.

As Mookie said, I like the way the story gows with more and more characters as the boooks come out. A refreshing change from the grim and dark books that are published.

Kozzie,

I love all books,Sci-Fi,Who-dunnits,etc;but those seem to be some of
the best.

As a matter of fact, other than giving books away, somebody help ,or
give me some suggestions,to where I don't have to build more
book shelves[:)]
