Larry,

Remember, Mom gets the people food, the dogs get the Kibble and Bits..

Made that mistake once, put a scoop of dog food in a cereal bowl, splashed it with milk and handed it to my then 5 year old…went out back and dumped Cheerios in the dog bowls, and got all the way to work before I realized what I did…The kid still checks out her breakfast pretty carefully when I fix it for them!

Ed - Laugh [(-D]

Tree - best wishes to the new couple.  And good luck with your four-footed visitors.  Mom will do just fine, I am sure.

Brian - Tell Joanie we will be thinking of her.  Let us know how it goes!

Texas vs NE tomorrow - and game will be perfect weather.  Wet and cold!  We will have to have a lot of things going for us - so weather and home advantage should help, I hope!

Maybe a trickle of snow - nothing to write home or forum about!

Willy - e-mailed you some pictures from Brother Carl.  Let me know.

CW - How's the house guest doing?  Have her check in from time to time.  Smile [:)]

BNSF ran wall to wall trains this morning between 4 and 5:45!  It was great.  Had some in the bathroom, the living room, the car.  And they all whistled at me - a lot!

Ed, that's a really funny story about the Cheerios and dog food! Fortunately, if that
happened around this house, our dog loves people food as well as she does her
own food.  So, she occasionally gets a little people food mixed in with her dog food.

Mookie, Sarah's doing well.  Busy getting settled in, and she has been on the forums
a couple of times.  But I'll be sure and give her your message to stop in the diner, for
a spell.

Fish is frying, as well as fries and hushpuppies. Will be ready in about five minutes.  So
get ready for your lunch!!

Afternoon everyone.....

Going to be cold in the Mad city for the next few days, our high yesterday was 40, and forecast says a cold rain and snow, highs around 40, lows in the mid 20's. Time to get an extra blanket out and plug in the truck at night to keep it warm.

Ed, I usually have the problem occasionaly of mounting tires on backwards at work (Quality doesen't like that, they can't read the DOT numbers on the tires.). Then I have to go grab the tire bars and pop that sucker off the rim and mount it right. Kind of like what Tuch refers to as head-up-***itis in his 'Hot Times On The High Iron' series.

Thanks for the fish, CW, will also swing by after work tonight for more. Working overtime tonight, we're planning on being done by about nine in the evening or so.

See everyone later.

Mookie - I still didn't get them. I don't why they won't show up in the inbox, but try one more time.

Feeling a bit better today, but still not fantastic. This weekend isn't going to be very restful, either.

A little bit of snow is possible tonight/early Saturday morning, but like Mook said, nothing too much.

Anyway, I will be back in sometime this weekend, probably Sunday. TGIF!

It would appear she really liked the Honey and Oats flavor…but I don’t think her digestive system was designed for them…

Well - happy to report that the hitching went off without any problems.  Daughter finally got emotional enough to shed a tear as we walked down the aisle, but up on the altar she was all smiles.

The newlyweds had decided that they didn't want the constant clinking of glasses, so they decreed that they would only kiss 'on demand' if an entire table got up and sang a song that included the word "love."  I think my sister was the only one who really took the idea to heart - much to the chagrin of most of the rest of us at the table.  Cute idea, though, and much less irritating than the clinking....

Time for bed for this tired father.

Good Saturday morning, all!!

Larry, please send our congrats to the happy couple!!  Glad to hear that everything
with the wedding went well.

Joe, thanks for making the coffee and juice, and putting cereal out for breakfast.
To go along with the cereal, I've put some bacon and sausage on, and will make
some biscuits and sausage gravy.  It will all be on the warmer bar in a few minutes.

It's a very chilly morning here:  temp's in the mid to upper 30s as I type.  Supposed
to make it up to about 60 by 6 p.m.

Everyone have a great, safe day, and make it back by about 7 p.m. for our
SATURDAY PIZZA FEST.

Congrats Tree, you survived (and hopefully your bank account did too)

Might want to break out the Cincinnati Chili for lunch ... two inches of fresh snow this morning and we've got flurries now....The dogs are out rolling and revelling in it now.

Back at noon for two cheese coneys and a bowl of 5-way at noon....

Congrats from here as well.  If our research into our daughter's upcoming marriage is any indication, your bank account is probably the color of blood right now.  We've decided to take one proactive step to reduce the impact of our daughter's wedding next year- those of you who met me at Lincoln remember the Pontiac Bonneville I was driving?  Wanna buy it?

Larry, congrats on the new couple! I really like the idea of the sung kiss request as well. I shot a couple weddings with similar ideas. There was one where the bride and groom requested that an amusing story be told involving one or both of them. Some of the results from that were downright funny, and that includes me not knowing much about the parties involved! I'm sure they would have been even better if I had known the bride and groom personally.

Mutt, it's good to see that you're getting something above the usual Kibble. The dishes you listed might be considered crossover by some, but I'll eat them with delight!

Well, as MC said, we've got a bit of the white stuff around. Of course, now the sun seems to be coming out, so I may have to see if I can get some pictures before it all drops off of the trees (it was really photogenic this morning).

Hope you all have a great day! TTFN!

.....Wow, you fellows talking about 2" of snow, etc....and in the last hour I just finished mowing the yard...{really looks good too}, wearing shorts and sweat shirt...Really nice, beautiful blue sky with strong sunshine.  That only produced 60 degrees but no wind and temp felt just fine.

Congrats to Larry for successful wedding for offspring....

Experienced that some years ago with only daughter.  13 year old granddaughter has been here visiting with us last few days.

Larry - Congrats on your daughter's successful wedding!

The Homecoming dance is this evening and I am going out to eat with a group of friends in about 50 minutes and then it will be off to the dance from 8:30 to 11:30. I don't really like dances, but I figure that going to the dance won't kill me.

So, I will be back tomorrow with an update on how the dancing went. I hope everyone has a good evening.

The happy couple. That really is a smile, by the way.

Their photog used my Rebel XT, along with her own, and I just got my memory cards back with the images still on them, hence the picture.  I'm disappointed - she doesn't look to have been shooting a fast enough shutter for many of them, and got a lot of blurred pictures, including some of the posed shots, which shouldn't have involved any camera motion.  Photoshop only fixes so much.

I was just startled from the dungeon by a clap of thunder.  It was raining off and on while we were train-chasing tonight (we missed the hot train we wanted to see, but caught four or five others), but now it's mostly on.  I haven't heard much lately about the snow that was supposed to mix in with it, but it could still happen.
