Morning All,

Well, was hoping to have at least a couple pictures done last night, but Alas! I have no idea where my card reader is. I'm planning to turn the house top to bottom tonight, and if I have no luck, it gives me a reason to pick up a USB 2.0 high speed one (which will really help with download times when I get the new camera anyways).

Meanwhile, anyone know why the SWAT team is up in the chicken coop? Heard something about a hostage cuckoo.................

Anyways, I had best get to my business. Hope you all have a great day!

TTFN!

Mookie, no problem, ordering more kibbles.  As a matter of fact, I did just that, this
morning (as soon as the store opened).

Lunch/dinner menu will be on the breakfast/warmer bar in just a few minutes:

1.  leftover chili
2.  Philly Steak & Cheese hoagies
3.  skillet fried hamburgers w/sauteed onions

I have to go run some errands at 1:30.  So am planning to have sandwiches for
supper tonight.  Maybe some BLTs w/fries & potato chips.  Anyone have any
other requests for supper/dinner tonight? (I should be back by about 4 p.m EDT).

Le Pant, Le Pant - wow - that took some really fast speed reading to wade through all that.  Slowed down when I ran across (literally) LC's key lime pie....that was a real head turner.....yum.....

I think it has slowed enough that I can enjoy some down time now - so will go look for Brian's Ankle, make a get-well card for Willy, check CW's pots for supper, - you know - just in general make a big nuisance of myself!  What I do best!

Dan is out there somewhere.  He peeks in from time to time.  Maybe tomorrow I will get 5 min and "k-nudge" him a little.

Houston Ed - want to poke him or shall I?

I've got the first round of BLTs ready, and there is plenty of steak left, to make up
some more Philly Steak & Cheese hoagies.  Putting some fries in the fryer, and
stocked up on bags of potato chips:  barbecue, regular, sour cream & onion,
salt & vinegar, and we got some pretzel sticks.

For dessert, we've got:  heavenly hash ice cream, orange dream bars, ice cream
sandwiches, and M&M ice cream.    Believe I even see a new container of
Reece's peanut butter cup ice cream, also.

Good Evening.

Doing much better this evening. The worst of this seems to have passed but I imagine it will still be a few days before I feel really well. And of course it is going to be difficult to get everything caught up in school. I have a history test, chemistry test and English quiz tomorrow.

The BLTs are delicious, CW!

Be back in on Thursday evening.

Good Thursday morning to all!  Mookie, love the new hairstyle:

Coffee is ready, so I'm filling your coffee mug, Mookie.  Also have a tall glass of
orange/tangering juice for you, and biscuit w/bacon,sausage & cheese for you.
You'll find all by your hammock.  (Along with two large slices of chocolate cake.)

Breakfast is on the breakfast/warmer bar.  Along with the biscuit/bacon,sausage
& cheese "sandwiches", there is raisin & spice oatmeal, toast, and sausage gravy.

Hash browns, with diced onions and bell peppers, bacon just this side of crispy, 3 eggs over medium, hot fresh flour tortillas dripping with real butter, and a sliced avocado on the side...forget the cholesterol count.

Shoot, might do guacamole for tonight…maybe some TexMex chili and fried tortillas, sun tea…the neighbor three houses down makes great tamales, chicken or beef, ten bucks for two dozen…

I know it’s a carb fest but I will worry about that next week.

The swamp is cooling down…made it all the way down to 74 last night…only going to get to 94 today.

Morning All,

Went out and bought a new card reader last night. Got one of the USB 2.0 High Speed ones. Man! Downloading a 512 Mb card has never been so quick or easy! I should have lost my old card reader a long time ago!

I started working on the trip photos last night. Should have something up tomorrow, or by the weekend at the latest. Didn't have anything truly great, but there are some shots I'm definately happy with.

Anyways, must set about getting some work done. Hope you all have a great day!

Chris - I had a card reader one time.  She said I would meet a tall, dark and handsome stranger - (she didn't tell me it would be after he lost all his dark hair! ) Big Smile [:D]

Ed, your menu sounds pretty good.  That will be included on today's lunch menu, along
with a new recipe I've found:  simply glazed pork chop dinner.  The recipe for the
pork chops:

1.  fat-free reduced-sodium chicken broth
2.  Minute brown rice, uncooked
3.  small broccoli florets
4.  bone-in pork chops ( 1/2 in. thick)
5.  1/4 cup Kraft Light Done Right! Catalina reduced fat dressing
6.  1/4 cup orange juice
7.  maple flavored pancake syrup
 8.  sliced Planters Almonds, toasted

Hope everyone will try this new dish, and let me know how you like it.  If I get several
favorable reviews, we just might add it to the menu.

Good Afternoon

Not much new from here this afternoon. We've stuck in a weather pattern over the past few weeks where the weekdays are really nice and the weekends are cruddy. So the nice weather is while you're in school and the icky weather is when a person actually has a chance to get out and do something fun. That pattern looks like it will continue this weekend.

CW- I'm going to have my mom try that new recipe, get the results back to you pronto.

Nothing else new from Omaha today. I'll check back in tomorrow afternoon.

Well, since no one came in and ate lunch today, we've got plenty of leftovers
for supper tonight.  Willy, and anyone else interested, you can find that pork
chop dinner recipe at:  http://www.kraftkitchens.com

Got it in an email newsletter this morning from them, and got my new
Kraft Kitchens magazine in the mail this morning.  It's filled with plenty
of recipes that I'm looking forward to trying.

When I was Matt's age, I was actually scared of trains close-up--he's definitely ahead of me there (yes, I had some real steam engines to be scared of!).  I hope he's surprised and thrilled, and want to see some Cincinnati shots whenever you can!

SJ has left the building, apparently.  I don't know...metal in her mouth can't bode well for tin boots--be very careful if you notice her opening her own cans of food!
