Thank you.

My sympathies for you and your family.  I lost a cat of 21 years recently and know how painful losing a companion like that can be.  God Bless!

Good Thursday morning, everyone.

Mudchicken, I'm so very sorry to hear of Andy's passing.  Definitely know how you
and Pat are feeling right now.  My thoughts and prayers will be with you.  Sad [:(]

Coffee is on, and juice and lemonade and tea are made.

Breakfast this morning:  bacon, scrambled eggs, sausage, sausage gravy,
biscuits, oatmeal, toast, and the assorted cold cereals, that you can choose from.

The knee is really aching this morning; but at  least it's not hurting like it was yes-
terday.  Will try to do a few things around the house today, and exercise it a
little bit.  Nothing too strenuous.

Putting a new item on the Diner's lunch menu:

PIZZA PASTA SALAD

It has penne pasta, tomatoes, hard salami, chopped, mozzarella cheese,
basil, and Italian roasted red pepper w/parmesan dressing.

Everyone, please let me know how you like this new dish.

And Joe:  please let Matt know that I went to the grocery, and stocked up
on fries.

Now, all I have to do is figure out something for supper/dinner tonight.Sigh [sigh]

CW,

I've had a craving for Lasagna lately. Not sure if it's bad to have two Italian dishes in a day, but it would get my vote. BTW, it's a little early for lunch out here in Rocky Mountain land, but I snuck a taste of the new Pizza Pasta Salad, and I like it!

Is Lasagna a good meal to eat the night before a long journey?  If so, I vote for it as well!

That salad sounds pretty good - as long as you don't decide to ruin it with olives.

I like making taco salad - basically mixing together all of the ingredients for a taco (hard tortilla's broken up or use tortilla chips).  Dressing is Catalina plus your choice of taco sauce.

Taking tomorrow off - have stopping distance concerns with the truck...  Also taking next week off from work, but will be into the diner from time to time.

Larry,CW said the "olives" would be on the "side" as she knows not everybody likes them!Shy [8)]

Now about the "stopping distance" for your truck; are we going to have to have a new
"Thread"on the ways that brakes can be applied, type of shoes, etc.??Confused [%-)]

Nah - Only two ways to apply those brakes.  They still pass the running brake test (a little hard to do a terminal test...), but they are due for replacement.  Smile [:)]

Good Afternoon!

School has already been keeping me busy, so I haven't had much time to visit the diner recently. All of my teachers seem pretty nice, but I'm not sure that the chemistry teacher knows what she is talking about. She'll put some information up on the board and have us copy it down and then she'll say "oops" and run back to the teachers guide and tell us "Sorry. I gave you some bad info there. It is actually this way...". She'll confuse everyone and we'll all flunk!Confused [%-)]

MC - I am so sorry to hear about Andy. Several years ago we lost a 20 year old cat and it was really very hard saying good-bye.

CW - You're not alone. My mom has bad knees too.

Okay, I'm off to slave over some homework. Talk to everyone again soon!

Willy, you'll be laughing at your chem teacher behind her back before long.  That stuff won't be too hard to figure out.

Yesterday's "affliction" here was "rain face".  Goes away when the storm finally hits (I wouldn't be surprised if it's a barometric thing).  SJ, you're probably right about my sensitivity to weather, among other things--but it's to the pressure, not the temp!  Anyway, we got nearly an inch in about five hours this morning.

I was probably too insenstitve about the bad legs yesterday--don't worry; Willy's mom, Joanie, and CW will never get to be my age!  I'm really very thankful for my reasonably good condition--today I had occasion to lift the entire Tower A control panel on my back while I adjusted the rug beneath it (SJ, you've seen how big that panel is).  Well, OK, I lifted only one side of it at a time, but still...

BossHen (Pat) & I  appreciate the kind words regarding Andy. Thanks. Took care of the rest of the arrangements for him this morning and now we get to find Gus a new buddy, hopefully through scottie or westie rescue. We'd be lucky to get to 119 years in people years. We now hope JHH and Dutchess are having better luck.

In the meantime, we'll return to the gatorade spigot. 93 out there today.

Since several people has requested lasagna for supper, we are having
lasagna for supper.  Also garlic bread (out of garlic Texas toast), or you
can have garlic breadsticks with your lasagna.  Also, freshly made garden
salad.  There's even some pizza pasta salad left, if anyone would like some
of that for supper.

Mudchicken, our high so far, at 5:54 is 87, but the humidity is creeping back
up, and there's no breeze out.  We've also been under an ozone alert all day.
Think I'll start a fresh batch of iced tea and lemonade, for anyone who doesn't
want any gatorade.

Dessert tonight:  chocolate cream pie w/ice cream.

Morning everyone....... I think..........

Has been rough in the Mad City area the last day or so, had nasty storms all day yesterday, lost power about 5 in the morning, and got 2.25 inches of rain.  Looks like more rain and storms are coming, better dig out the bass boat.  Heard that people to the north and west of us have already had six inches plus.

Mudchicken, my condolences to everyone on your loss.  Have gone through the same losing the family cat, very painful.  Filled up your Gatorade tank as well.

Thanks for the lasagna CW, really hit the spot, and the Texas toast was great as well.

Off to bed, will be back around noon or so.
