Aw, come on, Joe--we're (mostly) all adults here!

It's the middle of the week for some of us!

It is warm - to be hot.  No water spots on the pavement.

Landlord cut down a lot of the underbrush and trees along our east lot line.  It is fun to watch the squirrels peer down from about 15 feet in the air and the birds looking for their branches to land on that are now missing.

The rabbits now have to stand on their hind legs to hide behind the tree trunks that are left.

I am here first, so pushed the coffepot around, spilled coffee on counter, sprinkled oj all over (well! Got paw wet from trying to stir it and shook it off!) ate a bagel and licked the top of the butter!

I am pleased!

Hammock calleth!

Mookie:  thank you so much for making the coffee, and juice!  And licking the butterBig Smile [:D]
See that you are in a good mood this morning.  Maybe I can borrow your hammock,
when you are through?  My knee is acting up this morning (and NOT in a good way,
either!)

Have got bacon, sausage, biscuits and sausage gravy available this morning, if no
one wants any of the bagels.  Mookie, did you bring the bagels in, or did we have
a visitor bearing gifts last night?

Everyone have a great day, take care of yourselves.

Tell you what, CW, you can have the recliner while you wait for an opening on the hammock.  I'll be pretty busy today, tying up loose ends here at work before I head west.

Stocking up on full body armor now, Brian?

Looks like this weekend is going to line up just like last weekend - Sunny and warm up to Friday, then showers and thunderstorms on Saturday and Sunday...  Can't complain from the business standpoint of the RR, though - if they can't play outside, they'll come ride the train.  Makes it hard on the people who have to work on the ground, though...

CW - you may have the hammock.  I am investigating those bagels.  Seems they were donuts left over from sometime ago.  Wondered what was in them that was green!  Blush [:I]

Oh well - it didn't taste too bad....

Morning All,

Mooks, don't worry about te green stuff. More or less, it's penicillin. Big Smile [:D]

CW, hope the knee gets better. If you're up for some extreme therapy, I know a guy who goes out and intentionally gets stung when his knees are acting up. I believe there's cortisone in bee venom. Like I said, it seems a bit extreme, but he swears by it.

Don't have a whole lot to report otherwise. Denver has been slowing starting to warm up again, but we have a cold front coming through for the weekend that should drop us back into the low 80's, with a better threat for afternoon storms. Hopefully they stay afternoon storms as I think I'm headed up another 14er over the weekend. I think I'm going to try Quandary Peak up towards Breckenridge. It'll be a new one if I make it, and I can lower my count of remaining 14ers.

Well, I suppose I should head to the salt mines. Hope you all have a great day!

Chris,I'm not sure that she would go to that extreme, but if she does, she'd better keep them
way away from me! I'm extremely allergic to those kinds of stings!
( I swell up and get funnier looking than I normally am.)

She's had a problem with her knees for several years now, seems the cartilage is deteriorating
a bit faster than "normal";and last night the "pain" hit the knee that normally doesn't bother
her as much as the other one. So,if you see her "hobbling" around here today, you all might
want to give her a little extra help.

Reminds me of a treatment for sunburn I heard some years ago.  Hit yourself on the thumb with a hammer.  It doesn't make the sunburn go away, but you really don't care anymore...

CW - I will give you a cane I have.  I tore some ligiments in what would normally be a knee - not sure what it is on me....It will help you get around better.

Chris - I will contribute the bagels to your cause.  We all probably need a little penicillin for one thing or another.  (cof, cof Dead [xx(] )

Mookie, thanks for the cane.  I do have a walking stick, that I use whenever I'm outside, and when we go anywhere.  The walking stick is hand carved, by a friend of ours, and I have
used it for several years.  I also have my paternal great aunt's cane, that I quit using after
I got the walking stick.  That cane must be well over a hundred years old, now.

I'm glad I had already made lunch today, and had it in the fridge.  Lunch today:

meat loaf, Mookie's "smashed taters" w/gravy, shelly beans, and corn on the
cob.

Looks like we've got enough chocolate cake for today, and probably tomorrow, too.
Nightrain, thank you for bringing in some.  That is very much appreciated!!  This cook
will take all the help she can get:  especially today!!  Nightrain, how close are you to
Tarpon Springs?  Mutt has family there.

Joanie can sympathize with you, CW- she's had orthoscopic surgery in one knee a few years ago, and has been dealing with more pain around there the last couple of weeks due to a hip problem- the doc gave her a cortizone shot for that.

You're welcome, I will try to keep the cake commodities up around here. Since too many people thrive on chocolate cake, inculding myself. I could make some as well...just to be doing something

I am supposed to be moving to Keystone Heights in two weeks, and that's closer to Jacksonville. Tarpon Springs is about a two hour drive from me now. Archer is four miles west of Gainesville

Afternoon everyone.....

Well, I didn't come in at 3, because I crashed as soon as I got out of the shower last night!  Work has been taking it out of me the last two days, should get better now that our south line is switching to UPS production-half the tires to be made.

Anyhoo, got humid today, we have a chance of rain from today through Saturday, we really need the rain, we're about an inch and a half off the monthly total, and the crops are starting to show it.  Rain is headed this way, not sure if it's going to hold together or not.

Well, gotta get going for work, see everyone later.

"Anywho" must be a Wisconnsin thing!

Didn't have a chance to give the kitten a back rub today--and should probably stay away from everyone else, too.  Can't tell whether I'm afflicted with "rain face", an allergy, or just the ol' dragon flu.  Zero energy this morning, so I drove to work.

Sorry to hear about the leg afflictions all around.  I hope mine don't give out when I get to be CW and Joanie's age! Evil [}:)]

One thing about CFDMD--it mixes well with orange juice in any ratio, so I can make it a vitamin drink.  That way I can feel good even if I don't feel better.

There will now be a moment of silence in the diner, please.

Andy, the 17+ year old West Highland White Terrier in the avatar, passed away quietly this afternoon. The little guy had a rough first 10 years, we hope he liked the last seven years with us. He will be missed and always remembered fondly now that he is over the rainbow bridge.

Thank you.
