I hear that too (my husband likes it) but I wouldn't know because I could never get past the name. "Not so edible" is pretty much how it sounded to me. [:)] It is exactly what it says...very thick, clotted cream, almost solid, kind of paste-like in texture.

We could set aside a table for those wishing to play Mexican Train. That's a popular pastime at our family reunions each year. Perhaps surprisingly, I don't participate. The dominoes don't have to go as high as 15, but I suspect that it's a case of the higher, the better.

(I suspect the management frowns on bringing pizza from the "outside" in here.)

No coffee here, thanks!

Just heard on the news that drinking a can of sugared soft drink is like eating four Peanut Butter Cups (which I also can't stand). I'm a heavy drinker of soft drinks, so cutting back by the equivalent of dozens of those things is probably significant. Which is why you'll see this fairly big guy ordering diet sodas with his burgers (and a super-sized drink is anywhere from two to three twelve-ounce cans).

Well score another one for family traits - PB cups - ugh! I don't want my chocolate mixed up with no darn peanut butter!

But being a true desert animal (cat) I don't drink much of anything - mostly milk, no water, small bits of coffee and diet pop. Driver drinks lots of water - ugh....I know what fish do in water, so no thanks. [xx(]

I'll have chocolate ice cream with chocolate cake while I ask this question for Mookie.
So Mookie - you always say how much you love chocolate cake. What about something like chocolate chunk brownies or something like that? You have to like chocolate brownies don't you?!

What about chocolate pizza? Something like melted chocolate for the sauce and then some chocolate cheese and chocolate Canadian bacon (I did Canadian Bacon for you Kevin since you're from Canada!). All chocolate pizza, sounds good to me!

All that hard work Juan Valdez and all the other Colmbians do, and all that coffee those poor old donkeys carry down from the mountain tops, and you guys pollute it with sugar and cream?

Thats like "reduced fat" barbeque ribs....sorta one of those "why would you want too?" things.

Now I'm really confused. [:(]

I thought what we "down under' called jam (fruit conserve), you lot called jelly? And what we called jelly, you lot called jello.... Have I got that wrong, or maybe not all areas of the States say jelly for jam???[;)] [:)]

whew!, been a long week already, lots of driving, busy with court and arrests, and tons of subsequent paperwork, meeting with the model r/r club, and bible study. Tonight is family night here and we're enjoying that. In all the busyness of the day, I unfortunately missed the Hudson 2816 Steam Engine as it rolled through town. (saw it last week though)
Extra large mocha to go with a cinnamon bun please...

tip of the day: for better pictures, remove lens cap

thanks for the coffee time.

cheers, krump

Kozzie,
You got it, jam is fruit perserve(fruit conserve).
Jelly is, (besides just gross) jellied fruit juice concentrates, mixed with keritian(sp?) gelatin, a thickening agent.

In my opinion, jelly is just this side of dog snot, not worth wasting a biscut on, for that matter, not even a slice of toast.

Jam is also know as fruit perserves down south.

55 Gallon Drum of Diet Coke (Vanilla, Plain, Lemon or Lime - I don't care) please....I-V Drip! Keeps those veins well carbonated....

Our Guy Kozz:...You had it right on Jelly & Jam, the metaphors just get discombobulated up here in the northern hemisphere ....local wierdism?, something to do with that darned peanut butter?

Ed: Do those "reduced fat" ribs equate to less messy somehow?

Maybe a gyro and onion rings for lunch (How I miss Skyline, Gold Star, Uncle Steves or anyplace else that serves Greek Chili - 5 Way and a cheese coney, please!!!!!) And it is almost impossible to find Vernors out here too! (Carl, CW & Loco, JoeKoh and maybe Nora are so lucky...Matt will just have to wait on the Vernors....Kozzie, the only way to explain this is "local vittles" - somehow I don't think this stuff would travel well in the mails)

Today was one of those days. AC went out on the 300M, my office copier is shot, Matt and his partner lost 4-6,6-7, and Mark announced his resignation. Does the coffee shop serve liquor? I think I'll have a (virtual) double scotch.

Years ago (I am a firm believer in the policy, Don't Ask, Don't Tell) I was in management with Pizza Inn. This was before dessert pizzas were ever thought of or made. We had a young couple with a small child and the child wanted a chocolate pizza. I did some quick thinking and decided it was possible. Just add some chocolate pudding to the crust (no chesse or meat toppings) and bake like a regular pizza. We just happened to be across the street from an IGA so I ran over and bought a can of chocolate pudding and made them a chocolate pizza (no charge). They were amazed that we would go to that much trouble for them since this wasn't normal at that time. Dessert pizzas now are common but not then.

Ah Willy - the Mookie is very discriminating. She loves chocolate cake, but not all chocolate frosting - it should be raspberry flavored chocolate or just a thin, very light whipped chocolate frosting. Other favorite is brownies with english walnuts or pecans. And the cake kind - not the fudgy ones.

Other than that - there is no chocolate that the Mookie really, really likes. Don't care for ice cream all that much - just once in a great while and candy, fudge, anything overly sweet, ugh. Pizza should be hamburger or shrooms or chic...er sorry MC....turkey (cof, cof, gah) light sauce and with everything - a big glass of cold skim milk.

Chocolate is like life - it should be sampled just a little at a time. And definitely not on pizza!

(and don't tell anyone, but the Mookie does like carrot cake - almost as much as chocolate...) [8)]

Dog snot????? Ahem.....

I prefer jelly to jam! It is easier to eat - you don't get those little piece of fruit dragging off the toast and onto your new white shirt/blouse, it doesn't get caught in all your fillings (seeds) and............................cheaper!

HGeres another point to the argument.. I think "jelly" and i would agree with Ed, is rather gross, Contains a certain thing that makes it unkosher.. uncosher.. however you want it spelt.. Not sure what the ingrediant is, it's jsut not cosher..or kosher..or whatever-sher.

ED: stop looking at the coffee boxes. Juan Valdez is Dead, and the donkeys aren't employed anymore. it's all done by machines.. little robobts wait for a volcano to erupt and then go collect the beans after

I'm sure thats NOT how it works.. imagine Coffee is like Dirt because it comes from the ground. Next thing you'll all be eating is pre-chewed gum or something. Not a cofee fan, Never have been. can't seem to get the taste, And to top it all of, to acidic for my stomach.

Ed youre like my dad, he likes his cofee darker then night.

Like REAL dark.

if its not dartk enough, he poors it down the drain... I jsut se Juan va,lldez breaking down on the floor and saying... "Que Face-a Amigo.. Oye como Va.. Now i need someoen to tell me what I jsut said.

If i swore, i do apologize.. i didn't know.

Besides where do coffee beans come from? Is it a fancy name for brazillian Dirt?

YOU ALL DRINK DIRT!!
