I'm definitely with you on the no diet ANYTHING. I never liked artificial sweeteners; then I moved to England and after a while I noticed that a LOT of products over there contain artificial sweeteners, and not just the sweet types of products you might expect. And they quite often don't have the "diet" or "light" label that raises a red flag for me. That's when I became an obsessive label-checker. [:D] However, Sweet 'n Low isn't aspartame, it's saccharin. Equal is aspartame. Also, acesulfame K/acesulfame potassium and sucralose (Splenda) are artificial sweeteners. I stay away from all of them...

You're gonna have to do a little more than just switching to diet pop folks.
QUOTE: Originally posted by jhhtrainsplanes OK, people [:p] I drink diet drinks because I actually like them, except Diet Pepsi. I was on a diet years ago and could drink coffee or tea without sugar and all the diet drinks I wanted. Once you actually get used to a diet soda you just can't go back and drink a "regular" one. If you are use to a diet soda a real soda is like drinking a bottle of pancake syrup. I can drink tea with or without sugar, but with is much better. Now coffee is a different story. Black, no sugar, no cream. Just the way God intended it to be consumed. [;)] Well I worked another 10 hour shift so I am going to walk the dog and take my nap soon. Yall have a good day. [:)]

Whiskey or rum or something like that don't know, I don't drink the stuff..... I though in order to get a triple crown you had to win the derby, preakness and belmont.... Isn't Smarty Jones trying for the triple crown this year? [:p]
QUOTE: Originally posted by M636C Mookie, Some years ago I discovered another advantage of diet soda. I was at a zoo with a friend and we had purchased large cups of Coke, diet in my case. When we put the cups down on the outdoor table, the drink with real sugar was instantly covered with bees (who could tell real sugar). I prefer Lemon Diet Coke to Vanilla, but Vanilla Coke is really like syrup! Isn't the triple crown the symbol of Sweden? (called Tre Kronor there!) They have that badge (three gold crowns in a blue circle) on their military aircraft, and a number of Swedish Navy ships have been named "Tre Kronor" over the years. Peter

[:)] I agree with Jim - I drink diet vanilla Coke, eat no sugar on my cereal and drink my coffee black. If you get away from sugar for awhile - you can't go back. It is like skim vs whole milk. We have way too much sugar and salt in our food today - and if you get away from both - you would be surprised at how horrible it tastes when it is oversugared/oversalted. Mookie likes to eat too well to diet, but don't use sugar or salt for those reasons. Plus her teef hurt if she gets too much sugar - except chocolate cake. [:I]

A lot of Wisconsin produced milk is made into those stupid hats worn by Packer Fans, (Green Bay's NFL football team-you are excused if you didn't know that).
