Good Thursday morning everyone.

Breakfast will be the usual:

turkey bacon, sausage, scrambled, or fried eggs, biscuits and
gravy, oatmeal, toast, cold cereal.

Lunch: hamburgers, cheeseburgers, fries.

Supper: five alarm chili, grilled cheese sandwiches, and ice cream
for dessert.

New Year's Day lunch/supper menu: Corned beef, cabbage, cole slaw
for those of us who don't like cooked cabbage. (Be sure to look in your
cabbage or cole slaw for a new shiny penny for luck in the New Year). And
of course, black-eyed peas.

Joe, the cake hopefully is on it's way. But just in case someone snatches
it along the way, we've got one here in the diner (well hidden from certain
people who would eat it up before Friday) so we can present it to the
birthday man himself. Although, after he cuts it, we'll have to freeze a
portion of it for Mookie when she comes back Monday. Unless someone
here happens to be going to Lincoln to drop it off personally.

Breakfast today is whatever you want to eat, you got it. Going to clean
everything out and start with fresh everything for the New Year (yeah, right).
If we did that, there wouldn't be anything left to eat in Jim's establishment!!
Miss him and Duchess being here. Duchess is a very good help in the
"dishwashing" department, when the dishwasher is loaded to the brim.
She does a better job than our Siberian Huskey.

Dinner tonight will be Italian: spaghetti, with your choice of meat sauce or
meatballs, garden salad, garlic Texas Toast. Dessert will be Jell-o.

I'd like to request vegetable beef soup with saltines and Ritz snowflake crackers and some decent port wine cheddar cheese spread. My wife made some great Veg/beef soup with the leftovers from the Christmas roast beef (which was awesome, if expensive) and we already ran out so I need more!!

Supper tonight will be something light:

Your choice of soup (tomato, chunky beef vegetables, chicken noodle)
and grilled cheese sandwiches. Plus there's that white icing choccolate
cake for dessert.

Carl: going to make your Hearty Soup for Saturday.

Thanks, MC!

Now there's a simple solution to your little problem. If you'd get into the habit of taking your baths inside the house, Mookie would have to be content with vegetable soup!

Carl, thank you for the chocolate cigar!! Congratulations! In honor of Baby
Katelyn, we will have smiley face pancakes for breakfast, and I am in the
process of baking a chocolate cake and will have vanilla icing with lots of
pink decorations on it.

It's just that it's WAY in the back, and out of the way,so it won't
offend our patrons who don't.
But the 'chocolate cigars' sound good anyway.[:)]
