Mudchicken,

No, didn't slip any catnip in anybody's coffee. If I did, probably should have
been MY coffee.

We now have about 3 inches of snow on the ground. Supposed to have
another batch coming in around 9 p.m. tonight, with HEAVIER snow,
and possibly the ice and sleat with it[V]

We are to be nailed with over a foot of snow between now and Thursday afternoon. We are under a winter storm warning so that means freezing rain and ice pellets are to be expected with it.

Morning everyone! Just now getting online. Had a few problems with our
ISP this morning. Still can't get into our email. So came to the forum. As
locmutt is saying "Funny thing happened on the way to the forum this a.m:
we got sidetracked!"

Mookie, your breakfast sounds good. Locomutt had bacon (turkey) and I
had a banana for breakfast.

Patty melts sounds real good for lunch. We are getting our snow now.
WET snow. Last prediction we had was a total of 6 - 9 inches of the
confounded stuff. Have about an inch of snow right now. With the
wind blowing, probably more than that in a few areas.

Still thinking on what to fix for supper in the diner. Probably will fix a
big pot of chili. And fix some hamburgers with cooked onions. Loco-
mutt says at least there will be plenty of natural gas around.[:D][:I]

Too cold for eating here in the Heartland! But that didn't slow me down a bit.

French Toast is the special. Lots of hot coffee/chocolate separate or together. Do you know raspberry coffee is delicious. Make sure you get some on your upper lip, so you can enjoy it later on!

Patty Melts for lunch? Anyone?

Locomutt and I had a very light supper tonight. He had brussels
sprouts and I had a HUGE baked potato. Thought we'd go
light on the meal tonight.

Tomorrow in the Diner, I'll make up a whole bunch of baked
potatoes with bacon bits, sour cream, Shedd's Spread, Land of Lakes
butter, melted Velveeta cheese, and whatever else you want to have
on your baked potato: broccoli, chili, cheese, whatever you want on
your potato, you can have it.

Sounds good Joe. Except for the chicken, sounds almost like Rice A Roni.

Although I never put the Rice a Roni in the oven. Might have to try that
sometime. How long do you bake it?

Larry, those wraps sound very delicious!! Bring them on[dinner]

For today's breakfast, we'll have:

western omelettes, oatmeal, toast, jelly, marmalade, jam
and cereal for Matt and anyone else who just wants cereal.

Lunch/dinner will be open-faced roast beef sandwiches with
mashed potatoes and gravy, and macaroni and cheese.

Supper will be: give me an idea, please, someone.[:I][C=:-)]

Just finished up part of Mom's Christmas present - a custom calendar with family pictures. Pretty neat. Now I just have to hope she gets it before the big day.

And cold? I guess it's cold. Up here on the St. Lawrence it's actually warming up! It was 15 below at 8 pm, now (midnite) all the way up to -10! I think we broke zero Monday...

Quick snack from the cooler, then I'll answer the call of my waterbed and call it a day. A good hot breakfast will be just the ticket in the morning. Maybe if they don't get me up in the middle of the night (again) for a fire/EMS call, I'll do some "breakfast wraps" on Wednesday morning. Eggs with bacon, sausage, or ham inside a soft wheat tortilla. Pretty good!

Hi, everyone!

If Nora drops by later today, be very nice to her!

She and I had a good time seeing trains along BNSF and UP Saturday morning. She left to return home sometime Sunday and got caught by lake-effect snow in Indiana (We barely had a dusting of snow west of Chicago, but Michigan City had about two feet of the stuff--and with near-zero temperatures, it couldn't have been too fluffy!). Anyway, she spent the night in western Ohio before continuing toward home today, and was expecting to run into more rough weather on the way.

Randy, I understand you encouraged Nora to have a look at the South Shore. I told her how to go about doing that, but she decided that it was best not to, in the weather she encountered.

Morning. Nice and COLD all around, I see. So let's have some breakfast.
I have fixed the "nice greasey" things for breakfast: Turkey bacon, sausage
patties, biscuits and sausage gravy, and we have pancakes for little Matt
and whoever else wants them, with syrup; also have oatmeal (not greasey)
and toast.

Also getting two big pots of soup started: beef vegetable and chicken
noodle. Since Mookie is off for the holidays, need some help from you
guys waiting on the customers and loading/unloading the dishwasher.

Turned on all the train layouts; love the sounds of them all.

Warm here in the West. Stopped at Railtown 1897 in Jamestown, CA. Sierra Railroad #23 was steamed up today and even Santa put in an appearance. It's nice to be above the fog.
