Well, got a call from JHH awhile ago: his computer is acting up again. He
wanted to let everyone know it'll be awhile before he is back in here with us.
He said he could get his email yesterday, but cannot get onto the forums.

Sunday Dinner this evening will be: cold cuts, slaw, potato salad, ham salad,
and chips. We'll have our big Sunday Dinners next week, after everyone is back
with us.

Yesterday was a nice day for watching trains at the Rochelle Railroad Park. The weather was perfect and the UP and BNSF put on a nice parade. BNSF engines sporting green, orange and, my favorite, red and silver. UP consists had their own in various shapes and sizes, plus NS and CSX and, an SP engine that hasn't seen a paint shop and maybe even a wash rack since the day it was born. To those who care, sorry but I didn't get the make and model (or number).

Beside myself, forum members in attendance were Mookie (with Driver), rvoss1979 (Randy), blhanel (Brian and wife Joanie). I had to make a somewhat early departure and wasn't there for the arrival Carl Shaver, but my thanks to him for a good job of lining up the parade on the UP. I think a good time was had by all.

had a very good time. Brian, can hardly wait for the pictures!!

Joe, got plenty of sandwich fixins and plenty of pickles. Do you want dill or
sweet pickles??

Also have some strawberry shortcake for dessert.

OK, I finally got some time to get this done- and yes, I managed to escape unharmed after getting this shot, although I'll probably be looking over my shoulder for a few weeks...

Here's my wife Joanie and Randy (rvos1979) relaxing in the sun.

And, a sample of the action...

Jay managed to escape before I could point the camera at him.

I've got a few more of the railroad action which I'll add to my rrpicturearchives site when I have more time.

Nice photos. Looks like you guys had some great weather and a chance to meet some great people.

CW
It's been a busy weekend. Can I put an order for 2 eggs(over easy), 3 pieces bacon and couple pieces of toast. Need a Mt. Dew to get me up also.

Everyone have a great and productive day.

Brian, here's your order, including the Mt. Dew. I usually don't do "over easy" with
eggs, so consider yourself lucky this morning! lol.

Regular breakfast menu is ready and on the warmer bar.

I will be away for awhile this morning. Have a doctor's appt. this morning. Nothing
serious. In case I'm not back by lunchtime, there's fixings for sandwiches in the
cooler for lunch.

Brian (IA), the pictures are great. It's a shame though, that Jay got away before you
could snap is pic for us!! So glad you all had a great time together.

Probably just as well. Since I own the same make and model camera that Brian uses, I know the camera could take it, but then there would be the problem of the Trains.com server crashing. Bergie would be very unhappy.[:D][:D]

I think I'll make a very small sandwich for lunch- all the socializing and required eating out that goes along with it has reversed the effect of my recent diet. Time to get back in the saddle...

Glad everyone liked their sandwiches for lunch. My dr. appt. was for 9:50 this
morning; didn't see the dr. until 11:15. Par for the course in a dr.'s office.

I hope everyone will like supper tonight: creamy garlic and herb tuna casserole
is on the menu for tonight.

Another nice, pleasant day here. Temps are in the mid 70s, and there's a nice,
cool breeze. Going to miss that this time next week, when the 80-85 temps come
into the area.

Brian you are not only going to need new ankles, but probably new kneecaps!

Don't just look over your shoulder; best turn your head all the way around!

Brother Carl walked two of my 4 feet right off, so will be a lot cheaper buying new boots this winter.

The payback list is really getting long!

Randy and Jay were so nice to visit with and they didn't once laugh at my Duh questions.
But neither one brought chocolate cake, either!

And to the rest of you - neener, neener!

Since my little sister has honored me by using my computer for her first post ever not done from Lincoln, I thought I'd better follow her in.

We are having the time of our lives...it does my heart good!

MC, I'm being allowed to inform you that someone in our dinner party tonight had barbecued fowl, and really enjoyed herself with it.

Since SJ now has to be driven many miles to get to her comfortable hammock for the night, I will pat her head, hug her goodbye and send her out the door.

And follow her out closely.

Morning all.......

Been a busy weekend here, put 400 miles or so on the truck, half of that was the trip to Rochelle, was a great pleasure meeting Jay, Brian and wife, Carl and Pat, and, of course, Mookie and Driver. Had a great time, and the UP was runnin' 'em like streetcars.

Mookie, I TOLD you, come to Burlington, WI for the Chocolatefest, all the chocolate you could ever want in one place!!

Sunday I went to my parents, my aunt from Aspen, CO was home for the weekend, got to chat with the whole family, and see my cousin's new daughter. My mom is doing well, some pain still, but that is to be expected, will be like that for some time.

Had an unusual happening on the way home this morning, got stopped by a house and garage being moved down the highway. They decided that 2am was the best time to move the house down the highway, didn't count on the traffic coming out of the trailer plant!

Talk to everyone later.

Well, good Tuesday morning, everyone! FINALLY made it in here. Have had internet
problems this morning. Finally got it straightened out, though.

Got regular breakfast menu on the warmer bar for everyone.

See everyone later, after I get through with Produce. Everyone take care, and have
a great day.

Joe, glad no one was hurt!! At Produce today, we did get peppers, cauliflower,
potatoes, and strawberries!! Getting ready make a cake, and we'll have
strawberry shortcake for dessert tonight, after supper.

Lunch today: leftover creamy garlic and herbs tuna casserole.

Still trying to decide on a supper menu. Any suggestions?

Brian (Ia) Very Good Pictures, you should be alright if you carry a lifetime
supply of chocolate around with you.
[(-D][(-D]

Joe; Steak does sound really good for this evening,I'll go ahead and get the
grills going. I'm sure CW can come up with some really good "sides"!![dinner]
(I do have a few extra cans of spray paint if you need them.[:D])

Randy; The last time I saw a house being moved that early in the morning was
over 35 years ago when I was in college. Looked out the window of my dorm room
on the 15th floor, and saw a Big 2 story house go rolling inching by.

Well Hello All

After 2 or 3 days of not being able to access the internet AOL decided to let me back on. How nice of them. NOT [:(!] [:(!] [:(!] During this time I could send and receive instant messages and emails but not surf the net. I didn't do anything it just stopped working then started working again all by itself. I have just about had enough of AOL. I got rid of AOL High Speed because of their extremely poor product and service. I am "this close" to getting rid of AOL altogether.

I see I have a lot of catching up to do. I am not sure when I can do it tho. Zach and his dad and Zach's friend will be here tomorrow for the 844. In between some of the activities they will be having supper here. Needless to say, I have been doing housework like crazy. [;)] [B)] [8] But I have some left to do, so I better get to it.

Everyone Take Care
