I'm right behind you Joe. [:)]

Larry, Larry, Larry, where is Curley? [:o)] Your one liners are a little fishy. [;)]

Well I got up this morning about 5 am to the sound of my Carbon Dixode/Smoke Alarm saying, "Low Battery" about every 2 to 5 minutes. Then I had to walk the dog. Now I am here, then I will walk the dog again at her request, then maybe take a nap in the hammock if I can beat everyone else to it. [:)]

I didn't read any of the posts since I posted last but I guess I must have started something about spanking. [;)] Well you know what the Bible says, "Spare the rod and spoil the child." I believe the rod has been sparred one (million) too many times. And now we as a society are reaping the benefits of it. [:(!]

Anyway, I will see yall later.

Jim, if you can beat Larry to the hammock, that's probably the only person you'll
have to fight for the hammock. We've got plenty of fog around here this morning,
thanks to all the rain we got yesterday.

Saturday brunch is now ready. You have your choice of: turkey bacon, sausage,
sausage gravy, biscuits, toast, scrambled eggs, fried taters, and cantaloupe
wedges.

Everyone have a great day, (and hopefully, it'll be dry for you). But make sure
you're back in here for the Saturday Night Pizza Fest by 6 p.m.

Bright and clear in Cincinnati today. Off to check the view from Tower A today. Will be back later with a report.

Morning Again

Wednesday's rain totals were about .6 of an inch and Thursday's totals were around 2.1. So we have had a little over 2 1/2 inches for the two day rain event. I have not heard if that was enought to stop the water emergency in Conway or not. Other towns were having water trouble too.

The sun is out and it is a very nice day. It is 75 now and going up to 85. Tomorrow high is predicted to be 88. [:0] That is still better than the 93 we had last week.

I still have some brown patches in my yard where some of the grass and weeds have already died for lack of rain. I hope the grass comes back. I am going to spray, maybe tomorrow morning and try to kill some of the other weeds.

Jay,

Our weather finally cleared up today,to the relief of several "thousands"
of people in our city. (residents and visitors alike!!)

Hope you have a great time touring "Tower A";be sure and give
us a real good report, especially if the windows "rattle" from the
"AIR SHOW" going on about a 100 miles to the south west!!
(if you're there around 3:00pm,and they really rattle, that would
be when "THE BLUE ANGELS" are supposed to perform.)

Not a problem today - grey and rainy. Got the paper & mail, sat down in the recliner to watch Tracks Ahead. When that was over I promptly dozed off...

Almost 3/4" of rain since 8 this morning, and plenty more in the forecast. I wouldn't complain, but it's the WEEKEND! Hope this isn't the pattern for the entire summer...[:(!] And there goes one of the fire departments in the county for a pump detail...

Pizza sounding good.

Really enjoyed watching the Blue Angels perform. It was a fantastic
show. Even saw several of the planes fly over our house, and around our
neighborhood!! Totally awesome to watch them fly over the house.

Back from Gibson's Salvage yard and boy am I hungry! I was hors de combat with some pushbars for my pickup. I won tho. Put me down for a #2 and a Mtn. Dew please!

The Blue Angels are cool. Once when I was a kid both they and the Thunderbirds were at an air show in Manitowoc, WI. Loud and frickin' cool!

Hey zardosz did you get any good pics when you were up here the other day?

There is no mention of "Goetta Pizza". Is there any chance we can get some. I don't feel like driving all the way to Covington Ky to get any tonight.

Brian, tell me what "Goetta Pizza" is, and I'll fix it for you!! Never heard of
it before. As they say, "There's a first time for everything!!"

The fireworks show just ended. The theme this year was "Thunder
Country". The fireworks were set to different country songs. It was abso-
lutely FANTASTIC!![8D]

CW,
Check out this website.

http://www.goetta.com/splash.shtml

It'll tell you everything you need to know about it. It is pretty good stuff. Riverfront Pizza in Covington has an offering with their pizza with Goetta. They also have a Goetta Fest also.

Joe, thanks for putting on the coffee and making the juice! Joe, interesting that
you found some coupons for waffles in the newspaper: because that's what I
fixed for breakfast this morning:

We have regular waffles, apple cinnamon waffles, blueberry waffles, and straw-
berry waffles, along with your choice of turkey bacon or sausage to go with the
waffles. Everyone enjoy your waffles this morning, and be sure you're back by
about 1:30 for a "Sunday Dinner Surprise".

Time to let you all know what the "Sunday Dinner Surprise" is: I've gotten the
grill started, and am starting to grill: beef ribs, spare ribs, and a rump roast.
Side dishes will be: pork n beans, corn on the cob, garden salad, sliced
tomatoes, potato salad, cole slaw and potato chips.

Dessert today: hot apple pie, fresh from the oven, w/vanilla ice cream.

Brian, thanks for the web site, and letting me know what "goetta pizza" is.
Will try to get some for you for next Saturday.

Joe, you know there's always a plate fixed for you to take to work in the fridge!!

Sure hope more of you come in to help eat all of this meal I fixed this afternoon:
don't want too many leftovers in the fridge, because I figure you will all get
tired of having leftovers this week. So help youselves, and be sure to clean
up after yourselves, please.[;)]

Hello Airshow fans @ the Diner;>>>

Any air show is great today w/ or w/o the blue angels . The cost of fuel is obscene to the devoted pilots. I have enjoyed the shows for many a year . Reno air races are fantastic , just as the air shows any where . Over at Glendale air field Sat. & Sun. there is a WW2. show . 2 B17's & aB24 Lib. These are the stars of the show ,also to mention the Mustangs , T6s' and a Corsair. All these aircraft are getting harder to see now a days, because of insurance & fuel costs .I sure hope these planes dont' go the way of the steam engines. Any aircraft was not designed to stay on the ground. Long live Train & Plane shows. Ariz. Cannonball

Hi all, I'm kinda bummed out tonight after missing the UP Special Friday, and not being able to at least try to catch it tonight (previous commitment). I really wanted to add those E-9s to my collection of Heritage loco photos. Oh well, the camera is now ready for some serious action coming up in a couple of weeks- first up is our son's wedding in Vegas on the 12th, then the following weekend everyone knows about...

Any apple pie and ice cream left? I need something sweet.
