Well good eveing everyone it's finally the weekend which is very good cause now. I can sleep in for two whole days but then again it's only a two day weekend but next weekend it will be a three day for me unless I voulenter my self to work again which I might but. I wont know that until next week but anywho that's really bout it form this end hope everyone has a good weekend and also a good night. And I will be talkin to you all later.

Good morning, all. Man, did we have a "hot time in the old town" last night. We had
a major fire here last night. A three story warehouse caught fire. Ended up
being a six-alarm fire. They had not only off duty firefighters called in, but a lot of the
suburban fire departments came to man the urban fire houses in case something
came in for those areas. The fire even showed up on radar, because the smoke
was going up about 1, 2,000 feet up into the air. Firefighters will be there for several
days, still, taking care of the hot spots. The only injury was a firefighter who strained
something while using his axe. The Louisville area hasn't had a fire this bad in
about 35-40 years. This fire was in the area where Mutt, Sarah and I were at
yesterday afternoon. We actually passed by that building. It's been unoccupied
for at least two years.

Saturday brunch is laid out on the breakfast warmer bar: turkey bacon, sausage,
sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, toast, pancakes on on the menu this morning.

Everyone have a great day, and be sure to be back here by about 6 EST for the
Saturday night pizza fest.

AMTK200;hope you do have a good day for railfanning,and not "breezy" like it was here
yesterday. That's one of the reasons the firefighters had so much trouble with the fire
that CW mentioned;they had to hold several engine companies back for roving patrols
checking on "firebrands" and other burning debris.
We hope to get out ourselves after a few, to do some more railfanning today.

Now about those green eggs. Actually from time to time the eggs at the Kroger Deli do turn green. I usually give those green spots to the dog. [;)] I have seen some ham with a green tinge. She gets that too. [B)]

Hello Diner friends;
I have been absent w/o leave for several days . Went up to Drake Az. to get a load of sand stone slabs for del. toa home building Co. in Nebr. . Came home to wait drive time , and tried to clean up some cookies on puter { billion or so } and wiped out Diner page [dummmmy me] , but we all live & learn .
GREAT ZOT!!!! the fire was really bad on TV . Glad the Diner was spared .
I can only hope Old man river don't rampage now with the barge agin the bridge . That would not be good . Ice jams are never good ,{ even on toast} . Small bit huomer, so is spelling. 52 ft. water @ Cinncy or more is a nail biter down stream.
We have missed most of last weeks pages cause of cookie crunching , but like Jim it's nice to be back. We are OK for health & hope to stay that way . Here's to ya'll with a cup of hot sassyfrass tea , { and no sulphur & molasses mix} . See ya, Cannonball& Shirl.

Switch8frg,send me an emaill address and I'll send you a few pictures of the
aftermath of that fire;naturally they were still there today with 2 aerials operating
"ladder pipes" with a couple of engines supplying them and monitor nozzles
knocking down the "hot spots". That building was about 2 blocks wide,1 block
in depth and one portion was three stories tall,so you can imagine that there's
plenty of debris that will need cooling down for a day or two at least !!

At least they didn't still have their hose lines across the tracks today,so we
managed to see some rail action right there also.[:)]

Good morning everyone how is we all doin today fine and dandy. I hope it looks like it will be a pretty nice day out today with temps in the upper 30's the mid 40's but anywho not a whole lot goin on for me today execpt doin laundry and then tommorrow I go back to work for only for days again unless I work again on the friday which is another down day for MPS but I might end up workin on the UWM shuttle for a couple of hours but anywho that's really bout it from this end hope to be talkin to you all soon. As I type this I have the case of the Cold as we speak. Got any Orange Juice and Chicken Noodle Soup? Went Railfanning yesterday and Amtrak held up Traffic in town for 10 Minutes.

and refills when needed.(we have to watch about certain words used like that,
seems it makes a particular person a bit nervous [:-,][:D] )

Hope you did as well railfanning as we did here;along with the fire scene shots,
we got in some really good actual raifanning pictures also.
We'll be going out again after a bit,so some one can say good bye to what's sort
of become a very favorite railfanning place for her, for about 2 1/2 weeks now.[:(][sigh]

Well, for Sunday Dinner, the menu is:

spaghetti w/meat sauce (chunky pieces of meat in the sauce) with your choice
of garlic sticks or Texas garlic toast.

Dessert will be: your choice of white cake w/white icing, or chocolate cake w/
chocolate icing.

On a sad note, we're definitely NOT looking forward to Sarah leaving tomorrow;
the three of us are trying to figure out a way for her to stay here, and finishing
her classes at the same time. [V][:(]

You will need to see if the cat comes in with snowshoes tomorrow in Lincoln. We are looking at 10-14 inches of SNOW tonight. Just changing to snow from a light drizzle right now. This time in 1993, the weatherguesser said 8-10 inches and we got 60 inches in 4 days. No complaints, we really need the moisture, especially in southern CO - It was raining ashes here yesterday from a grass fire.

It seems that we've had a busy weekend, not only taking pictures of a
fire scene but, also been able to do railfaning at the same time.

The first picture seems as if somebody was rather reluctant to have
her picture taken, even though I was trying to include her in the picture.
While we were there taking the pictures of the fire scene, looks like the
P & L delivered a cut of cars for the L & I.
