Well, the weather is still great for a picnic so I'm sure it's still on
for today;might be able to have another one tomorrow. It's not
supposed to start raining until tomorrow evening.

As an aside here,CW just fed the 'kidimals' here;geez;talk about
feeding time at the zoo !!!!

A trackside picnic sounds great! So does cereal/fruit this morning.

Sarah says she gets done with school at noon today; I hope she wanders down for this.

SJ, my condolences to both Driver and Timmy!

CW - you and the driver and Tom should relax.

You need the sleep - Tom is recovering and the Driver has a torn muscle in his "Timmy". So we will declare this a day of rest.

Meanwhile, I will recruit some of the big strong gentlemen to carry in ......kitty litter....
What else....

Let's have a good old fashioned picnic this afternoon - now that the weather has warmed up - a lot. KFC, corn on the cob, cole slaw, use up some of those biscuits CW got, burgers/brats/dogs on the grill, potato salad from the deli and for dessert, well...

guess what with a big glass of cold milk!

OH [yeah]

Here's a plate of lasagna and garlic sticks/toast for you. Along with a
big glass of iced tea. Glad to hear that you're feeling better again. Been
praying for you to get better.

Just found out a very interesting fact;
On this day in 1845,the "rubber band" was invented.
Has it been that long since we started smacking people
on their 'backsides',tossing paperwads, and other wierd things ?????

regular lunch menu.

Supper tonight will be: lasagna wi/garlic toast or garlic sticks, whichever
you prefer (I'll have both fixed), and a nice fresh garden salad.

BTW Jim, thank you for confirming that I only cook with USDA grade/
approved meat! That's why we have so many customers here: we
use only GOOD meats (weather it's beef, chicken, pork, other

Biscuits & Onions ????
I'm not sure we should have that on the menu![:D][}:)]

Hope we have plenty of anti-acid tablets on hand, along with 'breath mints' [:D]

Back from seeing Katelyn--she's sitting up pretty well now. We made sure she has Tootle in her library (bought her a copy at Rochelle when we were there).

We'll be going to LaFox tomorrow--before an afternoon nap! (You won't believe what we're being "Forced" to do tomorrow night!)

Sarah, you're going to have to learn the difference between "double track" and "two main tracks". The trackage through LaFox is still two main tracks officially; it will be three main tracks by this time next year. We'll show you the progress that's been made when you're out this summer. AMG

Yes I'm sure Mookie did catch us doing that!! hehehe. Yes I think it's a very good idea to (if your going into the quilt shop) to have all of your CRO sences working. This way if the gates go down you can catch a glimpse, no I should say a up close and personal view of that oncomming train.

Oh that's interesting that the center track in LaFox needs the most attention. I didn't even know thay had a three track mainline I thought it was always double track territory.

Plenty available. Besides - you should see the resort that's attached to the TPC golf course. Don't even have to go outside unless you so choose. Good thing we get a contract rate - I'd prefer not to pay the going retail rate, and I'd hate to see what they charge during big events.

We'll be at the beach house on Tuesday evening.

Actually, I don't mind being inside the quilt shop (I can be a big help with color coordination), but you can bet I'll be scouting out the exit routes in case the gates go down and/or the horn sounds!

In LaFox, it appears that the center track is now the one that needs to be (re)built. They added the third track to the south of the others, but are still using only two tracks for the entire stretch out to Elburn.

(Sarah, I just caught a wink from Mookie--I'll bet she caught us holding hands under the table!)

Carl,

Unfortunitly, I'll be saying right here at the computer to do my studing. I 'm so sick of school work. I think I might blow some of it off to do something train related. hehehehe. Hay make sure you let me know how little K is doing when you go over to Ellen's house. I hope she's gotten better.

Yes I think Pat would be more than occupied in the quilt store while u can hit the tracks. hehehe

Yes, Sarah and I finally got to come here at the same time. After lunch we'll go our separate ways--she to study and I to visit the granddaughter. No train-watching for Katelyn just yet--maybe soon.

Not much more to say about Galt--things are pretty much back to normal here. Pat and I might go to LaFox again to visit a quilt store that we found right by the tracks. Best of both worlds for us!

OK I missed breakfast today :( I really needed some breakfast too. I ran out of my house today because I was late to school which started at 7:30. I hate getting up eairly.

I haven't gotten up that eairly for about two weeks now. I think tomorrow when I go back I'm going to need a douple no tripple expresso from Starbucks or Wawa.

Well the good thing is that now since I'm up and didn't have any breakfast, I think I'll join my friend Carl for lunch. I guess we can talk about that trip you (Carl) took up to Gault (not sure if I spelled that one right).
