The porkchop abracadbra is ready, and on the warmer bar. So help yourselves,
and the puddings and pie are in the cooler.

Well railfan619 I can feel your pain about the weather. It is very and I mean very cool here in PA. We had a nice lovely thunder and lightning storm here last night. We also had flooding and the streets were very slick because, of the wet leaves. Today it is very sunny but cold. Later on tonight we're suposed to get some rain, and it looks like'w we'll be getting rain almost throughout the entier week. I think it's the hurricane that's suposed to hit us. Well here is my comment on that one................... JUST BRING IT ON!!!!!! I'm ready.

CW I think I will be taking some of that delicious potato or should I say tater soup. I think I might end up eating two bowls. I'll also have some of those crackers too. As far as the apple citer goes.... gimme gimme....gimme I want some of that! I love apple citer. I think I might end up drinking much of that as well.

Carl, I don't think you've tasted apple citer until you've tasted Pennsylvania apple citer from Lancaster County or Bucks County. That has been the best apple citer I've ever tasted, and I've had lots of apple citer in my day. lol

Hey all, the soups are ready, any time anyone wants a bowl. And I've taken
the liberty of heating some of Carl's fresh apple cider. Won't that feel good
going down our throats in this cool weather!! And we have some oyster
crackers to go with the soups.

Oh, I wish I could be here for the soups tonight! Cher, make plenty of the Hearty Soup--I'm wondering how you would modify it to "personalize" it. The one thing we've always found with the soup is that it's better the next day, or later in the week.

I left a couple of gallons of fresh Michigan apple cider in the fridge--none of that preserved and Pasteurized stuff one usually gets.

Good Saturday morning, everyone!! Hmmm, wonder how many of you will
be in for Saturday brunch today. Coffee is on, and juice is made up.

Brunch will include: oatmeal & toast, turkey bacon, sausage, biscuits &
gravy, grits, country ham & redeye gravy(oops, there goes a half pot of
coffee!), scrambled eggs,( and chocolate or butterscotch pudding for
Mutt.)

Know I don't usually post supper menu this early on Saturdays, but today,
I'll change routine. Supper tonight: Some nice, hot homemade potato
soup, and Carl's Hearty Soup.

Thanks CW, but my teeth are fine--after they clean them, I just want to gnaw on something.

Jay, I meant to congratulate you on your star billing in my previous post. The idea of going to Rochelle on November 22 appeals to me (if the weather be good), but we'll have to wait and see what Chris can do or is willing to do. As always with a Tuesday, Pat will be at her craft group at church during the morning.

Sarah, of course you can have a Sprite with your grilled cheese sandwich!

Carl, would you like for me to chop your fish sandwich up for you? May have
to do the same for Mutt, so he can have something solid. Did get his choco-
late pudding made for him, and went to the store and bought him some
butterscotch pudding.

Supper tonight: For anyone who didn't come in for lunch today, there's more
fish sandwiches available (will make them as they're ordered), and we'll also
have pizza on the menu tonight.

Back, but only briefly.

The nerve of my regular hygienist to go on maternity leave!

I guess that gnawing on a fish sandwich would be good for me.

Chris--talk to you later! Glad the goat did the trick.

Jen--welcome back. I missed you yesterday, too.

Walt, I was referring to your smiley options, not the Forum's!

Gotta go. Maybe I'll get back tonight.

Jay,

Congrats on the 5th Star. Perhaps we can make you General of the Scoundrels now? Have to see if Bergie could modify your Rank to arrange the stars in a pentagon. A gathering in Rochelle always works by me.

Meanwhile, until the Pest Control man arrives, I brought a friend to the forum:

(Aren't Billy Goats the natural enemies of Trolls according to the legend?)

On a related note, I've got the pictures up from my past trip home. Sadly, there are no train shots (mostly because I'm an idiot and forgot how to railfan in the midwest). Still thought you guys might be interested. Everything from chickens to windmills over there. The link is:

http://www.pbase.com/copcarss/ill_oct_05

One of these days I will manage to post some train shots again!

Hope you guys all have a great Friday. I know I will!

TTFN!

Jay, congratulations on your fifth star!! Maybe we can all meet somewhere, and
I'll bring you a "fifth" of whatever to celebrate!![;)]

Mookie, good to see you back today! We missed you yesterday.

Mutt says all he wants for breakfast is a bowl of soup. Figures that's about all
he can handle right now. Maybe something more solid later on. For the rest
of us, breakfast will be: sausage, biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs.

Lunch today will be: fish sandwiches, grilled cheese sandwiches, fries and/or
chips, and homemade chocolate pie for dessert. And we still have some
pumpkin pie left, if anyone would like some. Over the weekend, I'll also make
some pumpkin cakes (like them better than pumpkin pie, myself).

higher than: Chief Scoundrel ?? [bow][bow]
