Hmmm - about 1.5 more than we got, but good for you!

I almost forgot - NBC tonite at 8 pm CDT - Tommy Lee goes to the University of Nebraska. For an hour! I am so embarrassed! But they say he shows UNL in a good light, so yes, I will watch and try not to squirm. Check out his tutor - she's cute, plus a 3.9 GPA and going to Med school this fall.

So see the campus where I "go to school" 5 days a week - and try not to snicker!

Mookie, will we get to see a cameo of you?!?! Mutt and I are planning to tune
in tonight, and check it out.

Supper tonight: pork chops and corn on the cob (special). Also will have:
hamburgers/cheeseburgers and fries.

Dessert will be your choice of Boston Creme Pie Cake or Strawberry
Cheesecake. Sorry Joe: in a diner, there's always dishes to be
washed. Did you check the dishwasher? I put a load in earlier,
and started it up. Forgot to get the clean dishes out.[:I]

So you got it too? It came down really hard on us this morning, and I was driving in it with the driving instructor. But, she said I did a very good job with driving in the downpour, so I am pleased. Driving in the rain is pretty fun in my opinion.

As of today, I AM AN OFFICIAL BOSE EMPLOYEE. My first work day is on Monday![:D] So in celebration, a round of drinks for everyone, ON ME![:D]

RAIN!! I received some over here today in the great state of PA! Though, it didn't come down too hard. It did look like a twister was going to come all day though. It's still raining now. I think it's about 80 something degrees out here. I was told and found out on the news that PA is suposed to see Hurricane Iren (spelling) soon, it hit one of the Carolinas already. I have a feeling this might come up over the weekend, when I want to go railfaning but, hay I can go river watching instead if we receive flash flood warnings.

Oh yea before I forget Carl Shaver asked me to say Hi to everyone in the forums today. He's up in Grand Rapids, Michigan visiting relatives.

CW thanks for those o so wonderful burgers and fries. I also eat three ears of corn.

Oh I don't want to go to work tomorrow [V]

Scott, congratulations on getting the job at Bose.

Joe, we'll have to see if Jim will bring Duchess in on his way to work in the
afternoons. We'll let Duchess and Sunflower do the washing, and then
we'll put them in the dishwasher for a hot rinse[(-D][}:)]

Give me some pecan pie and a tall, chilled glass of milk. [:p]

Wow - I stayed up about 45 min past my bedtime (8:30) to watch the Tommie Lee Fiasco. I am with Mutt - it was a little strange during the first 1/2 hour, but found myself laughing at him during the 2nd 1/2 hour. It was very nice to UNL! That's what most people were worried about.

So - some insider info - the secretary to the Chancellor - Beth - I have talked to her on the phone many times, but had to watch this to see what she looked like.

Opening scenes were shot all around our building, but our building didn't show up - yet.

One of the buildings (the Union) is across a parking lot from my office His "crib" was across the street and about 1 block down.

The stadium, campus and city are just as pretty as they appear. His tutor is indeed, going to med college - in Omaha this year. She is pretty and smart and will make most males pulse race a little faster.

Tommy Lee on the turf with the drummers was the funny part (next to him getting up at the crack of dawn). They are strict with the band members and it shows in the performances!

I never did see Tommy Lee, but some of my co-workers did. Said he looked scared!

I will watch it next Tues and see what else shows up.

Cameo? Well, I was right next to Debra Winger in Terms of Endearment when they were shooting in the restaurant and in the grocery store scene (outside) - so maybe not a cameo, but have been on the fringes of two movies. That's close enough!

Still missing Tom.....Modelcar is back. Anyone else among the missing? (So many men, so little time!) - oh sorry - wrong t-shirt....

Okay, looks like we're going to have to put out an APB on Tom!! Don't like any-
one of our forum family to be missing!! Not a good thing.

Breakfast this morning (and anytime throughout the day/night) will be:

turkey bacon, oatmeal, whole wheat toast, sausage patties/links, biscuits &
gravy, grits, pineapple rings, fried potatoes, or hash browns.

Jim, did you not look in the fridge? There was a plate from supper, with
your name on it, for when you got off work last night. (Had a note on it,
reading: For Jim only; anyone else gets this plate of food WILL BE
hunted down and punished

Re: Tom. I think he and his family may have headed east to see his side of the family. I'll give it a few more days and maybe make a call.

Nice morning here. Think I'll take OJ, a danish and coffee and take a seat at the tables on the platform.

Mookie,
Any word out as to whether or not Tommy got the "drummer" spot
with the band ? I really [(-D][(-D] when one of the band directors
watching TLs audition, said:"and he calls himself a drummer ?"

May have to continue to watch over the next few weeks, just to
have a few good [(-D][(-D][(-D][(-D]

Mutt - the funny that is going around today is what the Chancellor said - he listened to an album of Motley Crue and decided it was an "acquired taste". (This man is a very dignified person and a diplomat!)

I don't think he was acting, either. The drummers are "pattern" drummers and very good! Tommy was out of his "element!". Stay "tooned"!

Joe - I think Tommy and I would have had a good time....he doesn't impress me and I sure wouldn't impress him! [:D]

It's a little after noon here, and I don't think it has broken 70. What's going on? Is Mother Nature sick? Shouldn't it be scorching hot right about now? What's happening? I'M CONFUSED![:O][:P]

Lunch special today: pork chop sandwiches w/potato chips; tuna casserole;
along with regular lunch menu items.

Our weather today is kind of overcast, a little bit of sunshine every once in
awhile, and doesn't feel too bad. Current temp (according to our outdoor
thermometer is right at 80, with sunshine.

Hey Mark, try some of the local fare. Kibbi, grapeleaves some babaganoosh or tabule. Most Arabic food is low fat. The desserts, however, 95 kilos in no time.
