Joe, thank you for setting up the breakfast bar, coffee and juice. All the regular Sunday
brunch items are on the breakfast bar. Joe, have a very good time at the Church
Festival today. Here's some fried chicken for you to take with you. That always goes
over really good at any kind of festival or picnic.

Sunday dinner will be at 6 p.m. edt: meatloaf, greenbeans w/potatoes and onions.

Dessert tonight: Jell-o w/fruit cocktail in it, with Cool Whip on top.

Breakfast great as usual. Got an email from Africa this morning - globetrotting daughter reports that the trip has been stressful at times, but they enjoyed a game drive yesterday and are headed for Victoria Falls today.

As a refresher, she went to Zambia with Habitat for Humanity. They've completed their building activities and are doing a little sightseeing before heading back to London and then home.

That's o.k. Pat: there'll be plenty left for anyone who might decide they want
a meatloaf sandwich later on in the evening. Plus, whatever's left will be
refrigerated for lunch tomorrow, along with plenty left for meatloaf sandwiches.

Also, there's plenty of dessert.

Taking some meatloaf home for dinner tonite. Yum!

Blueberry bagel and milk for me.

Saw my first engine on the gound this weekend. Only the rear trucks, but it is still a first for me! Looked a little sheepish - all that power and nowhere to go!

Tree - we are still burning down apts here - always seem to involve a balcony. And daughter will be home that soon? Imagine you are glad for that!

CW - I keep napping yesterday, so I need to go put my face in a cup of coffee this morning - think that is what "suck it up" means? Hot and Humid here - traveling east, y'all....

Where is Mudchix - I need a new feather boa. And where did Tom Go? (Didja notice Dan is back from R & R! He sounds too rested! Gotta find a stick and poke him!)

You really want a stubby, brown, muddy and horribly scorched feather boa? The only two days in Denver where the temperature gets bearable and there is moisture, I find myself in the middle of nowhere in Southern Nevada. Get home Saturday night at 11PM Saturday and try to rehydrate/recover on Sunday w/o much luck - Bananas, OJ and gatorade for breakfast? [xx(][xx(][xx(]

ps....Will share with a few of you what Friday and Saturday was like including a visit to MiniWyo's back yard on the way home (Oh boy did I pick a bad time to go into Wendy's!). Anyone seen CopCarSS? Gotta build a handicap ramp for old white dog this week so he can step up to the doggie door entering the house- reality setting in[:(]

We've had a couple of instances of folks trying to run the air conditioner, and everything else, on one outlet, with the effect of warming things up instead of cooling them off. We aren't used to this 90 degree stuff, especially for longer stretches, so it may continue.

Daughter is probably in the air as I write this (don't have her schedule with me), enroute to 3 days in London with her mother. She lands here on Friday. I've already ordered more space on the ol' personal website so I can post all the pictures I'm sure she'll want to share.

Helping aunts prepare cottage for visits from my sisters (one from MC's territory). Discovered that water heater in guest cottage wasn't completely drained last fall, so major project today (after they buy it) will be installing new water heater. It never ends.

MC, so sorry to hear about your dog. It sure is tough, when you notice they can't
get around like they did when they were young and so very full of vim & vigor.[:(]

Mookie, you're more than welcome to take some meatloaf home with you, for
your & Driver Ed's din-din tonight. I didn't nap all weekend, but I sure feel like
I need about two pots of coffee to wake me up this morning.

Weather radio kept going off yesterday afternoon with "Severe thunderstorm
warning", but we never got so much as a drop of rain here. Sadly, though,
a young 16 yr. old and his horse were struck and killed by lightning in a
neighboring county. He and a friend were out riding, noticed the weather
taking a turn, and were heading home to try to beat the storm.[:(]

Morning All [:)]

I am working second shift this week so I stopped in for a lite breakfast. I will have biscuits and sausage gravy (who would have guessed that [;)] ) 2 eggs over easy, toast, bacon, and cheese grits. [:D] Coffee, and OJ too, I almost forget to order them, AND a glass of milk in a frosted mug. [:)] That is the best way to drink milk. [:p]

MC

Sorry to hear about your dog. It is hard to see them start to go downhill. When they are inside dogs they become family, just like your children. Sasha has been gone now for just over 3 years and it still is a bitter pill to swallow. [:(]

Carl

Maybe today is a good day. [:D] Email me if you would please and let me know. [;)]

Mook

I have been missing Dan. So he was off on a little R & R huh? [?] [;)]

Ok folks, Duchess threw up all over the place last night so this morning I have to steam clean the carpet. [;)] So I guess I better get busy. [V]

Bye for now. [8D]

First root beer, then my Diet Dew, now milk in a frosted mug. We're going to have to get a mechanical reefer spotted outside just to keep the mugs cool before long!

Will probabaly have to let you know tomorrow whether today was a good day, Jim.

Congratulations on your derailment, Jen! I remember the first one I saw. They get kind of tiring after a while. Sometimes the pickup can be fascinating.

Sometime last night we got ballast dumped on one of our tracks through town. That might have been what the horns were about, if it was done conventionally. Kind of looks like a Herzog job to me, though---Swoooosh!

Oh, I forgot--this is the diner!

Could I have a couple of thin-sliced chunks of meatloaf, please? I hope you won't be offended if I dip it in A-1 sauce (which I don't use on many things, but seems perfect for meatloaf). I'm glad you diodn't have to slave over a hot oven, CW! Aren't Crock-pots wonderful? And aren't all of us crackpots just as great?

Carl, and Coburn35, you can have A-1 with your meatloaf: but I do have to tell
you that I add a can (usually the juice, also) of Red Gold diced tomatoes Italian
to my meatloaf. That way, even with an egg or two, the meatloaf isn't dry.

And yeah, mudchicken, where is CopCarSS?!?!?! Have been wondering
about him, since I heard on the news Friday or Saturday, about a hiker finding
the deceased deputy sheriff in/around Denver. Wondering if he was the hiker.

Supper tonight: open-faced roast beef sandwiches w/mashed taters & gravy.

Jhh, so glad to see you here for breakfast this morning: will have your
breakfast ready for you each morning, Sir!

You can have your pizza burger w/curly fries: but we don't serve Mike's
Lemonade in here. I'll get you a plain ole glass of lemonade to go
with it.

Well did I have an interesting day today. First I drove my boss' car all the way from Conshohocken,PA over to Pensawaken (spelling) N.J. I saw about 10 trains today most of them were mainfest. Most of these trains I saw while I was on the job in my boss' car. I actually was real suprised that my boss did let me drive his vehicle all the way down there. I ran into several traffic jams going into Philly on of course the road that gets backed up 24/7 I76 aka the Schuykill (spelling) expressway.
All in all I got out of 3hours of doing work in a hot shop today in the evening. That was a nice change.

No, my team didn't win our softball games yesterday. Actually we only won one game.
Ohter than that noting really happened.

Carl thanks for clearing up that signal issue I had yesterday with the "Limited Approach". Ya know what I think CORA and any other rule book out there should defind what Limited and Medium speed actually is.

CW I think I'm ready for that beef and taters and lemonade now!!!
