I was about to ask the same thing.
Also happens in the MR's version of the diner.

SJ--

There is a bottle of diet Green River in my fridge as we speak! My favorite barbecue place has Green River as one of the choices at its self-serve soft-drink machine.

As for ingredients, are you referring to the lime flavor, or the horrendous green food coloring that dyes everything in your digestive tract?

I've got a question...For quite some time when I "come to the dinner" I will click on the last page indicated in the topic. But when the page opens up I find that there is more pages. I then have to click on the real last page again. As an example the topic will show 402 as the last page, but when I open it 404 is the actual last page. This is getting irritating.[banghead]
Does this happen to everyone? or is it just me? Is there a way I can fix this?
I'm guessing this is caused by deleted posts. Anybody know?
I guess I should have said I have a few questions.[;)]

I think this is because it takes roughly four or five posts on the newest page for the thread to recognize it, and update its page count on the main page. I have seen this happen frequently, but it always fixes itself after there are a number of posts on that page. Just a thought...[^]

I HAVE A JOB INTERVIEW WITH BOSE STEREO TODAY AT 3:30! WISH ME LUCK![:D]

Scott - good luck....

BC - is that what it was - just lime flavoring? I could figure the green food color, but thought it was something a little more exotic. Used to sit in Kresge's/Woolworth's at the lunch counter and sip one from the time the counter was taller than I was to the time I could actually get my elbows on the counter. Then they tore them down....

No justice!

Okay, I'm letting you know what is ready for supper tonight:

1. Lasagna with side salad

2. Fish (w/or w/out bread) and fries. (Joe, have made sure I have
plenty of fries, just for Matt).

Dessert tonight: brownies w/vanilla ice cream

Scott, hope your interview with Bose went well.

Carl, I have to say this but I've never heard of Green River soda before??? But, I have heard of Sprite, Coke, Pepsi, Mountain Dew.....and all the other brand names out there. This Green River sort of reminds me of the Schuylkill River, which is also green. If you want you can have plenty of Green River over here in the great city of Philadelphia, and it's free!!!!!!! lol

It was hott over here today!! It went up to 98 degrees w/ humidity. I had to work in a shop all day w no AC, so it felt like 120 degrees in the shop, espeacilly when people decide to run 10 eninges at the same time, way to go!! lol

CW I think I'll have the breaded fish. Is it flounder?? I think I'll have some of those fries too. I'll take the ice cream as well.

Sarah,

Don't feel bad about not hearing about "Green River Soda",I've
not heard of it either. Now "Ale- 8" is another story.
I think all of our "Breaded Fish" is Trout, but will have to check.
Weather here today was about same as you;supposed to be cooler tomorrow.

Scott; realize you will be reading this after the interview, but sincerely hope
it went well.Personally,I was more interested in the one at the hobby shop.
That one sounds like a "Dream Job".

Okay, to all of those who mentioned it, I still work at the train store. But, it is only the first Saturday of the month, since it is an hour and a half away. I can't make that commute often, so I need a closer job.

News with Bose;

My interview when very well. I was told that I was very mature, and would be an excellent candidate for the job. I have two more interviews to go to before they decide to hire me, one with the manager, and one to recite a live script for the Bose Music Theater, and then I'll be called whenever...

If I do get the job, I'll be paid $10 an hour, with bonuses and group commission. The assistant manager told me that I could make up to $20,000 a year if I work 20 hours a week![:D][:D]

I WANT TO WORK HERE![:D]

Daniel, [#welcome] to the Diner! Always glad to have new people come in and
visit. Hope you will become a regular. The store you work at, sounds a lot like
my granddaddy's store he had down in Tennessee. Always loved going in there,
whenever we went to visit in the summertime. Bet he's got one up in Heaven,
rest his soul. Is everyone enjoying their supper tonight?

Daniel, welcome to the Diner! I really like hearing about that kind of store.
Makes me remember what I grew up with, instead of Target,Wal-Mart,K-Mart,
Meijers, etc.Stores like that really were/are the way to go;people knew you,and
treated you quite well.Right know;I only know of one store that basicly treats
you that way;a hardware store very close to us,frequent it when I can. If they
don't have it,you probably don't want,or need it.(unfortunately,no trains)

Scott, your interview sounds like it went well, hope you get that job,if that's
what you want.

CW -

Sounds like a great place. I could sure use a roast beef sub hold the mayo and pass the ketchup. Also, some of that great slaw of yours as a side. Do you make a mean five bean salad? I've got my two cream sodas and an Orange Crush and I'm waiting for my call. I'm first out tonight...

I was watching a show about the troops in Iraq and found that one of the most common thing the medics have to treat the soldiers with is scorpion stings.

As I thought about it I can understand that particularly the poor folk who have to man a fox hole. Not appealing choices eh? Shot or stung?

LC, I don't have the recipe for five bean salad. But here is a roast beef sub for
you. I withheld the mayo (don't like mayo myself: prefer Miracle Whip Salad
Dressing). But I'll get the recipe and make it especially for you. Okay?

Jim, thank you for the vote of confidence. I try to keep everything going for you;
and try very, very hard to keep everyone on the straight and narrow, if
you know what I mean[;)] Most days, it's an easy task. But we would all like to
see more of you in here!!
