I wasn't a nervous father-of-the-bride until the rehearsal. Plenty to get nervous about there.

In four hours or so the ceremony will be over with. We know the reception will be fine.

I think maybe we could scrounge up enough rain water for you to take back
and water your lawn. On second thought, this good ole Ky. rainwater might
do such a good number on your lawn, that you'd be mad at us when you
have to start mowing it agian!!

Carl, I know you will do a very good and gracious job as Father of the Bride!

Jay....Having the dogs {one at a time}, when we were much younger we did put up with taking them with us where ever we went...including Disney World...Dainty stayed in an A.C'd Kennel there and we got to pick her menu for food...{We stayed several days in a hotel on the grounds}.....But generally we traveled with the dog for years....Not really that much trouble but it did take some energy to make it work.

Tom, not from our yard it won't!! We haven't even put fertilizer on it for
about three or four years. To send you a sample of the water, guess
I'll have to call UPS so I can ship you a small sample.

Supper tonight: pork chop abracadabra. Got a package of BIG pork
chops at the store. Just so you'll know how big these chops are,
ONE chop covered the plate. Now, that's a biiiiiiiig pork chop!!

...The weather patterns have returned back to more or less normal here in Indiana now....From the action of Dennis the weather movement has been swirling around us in a counter clockwise fashion and now that has finally changed and it's starting to move from the typical west to east direction and we did have several hours of light rain here today...but Indianapolis had over 2" of the stuff....and had flood warnings out until 8 pm this evening....So railfan, maybe you will start to get some weather movement in the normal direction now including some rain....Warm and humid...very humid here now. Rain gauge total...{from Dennis until now} stands at: 1". Grass growing fast too, but the high humidity helps that......

Railfan619 I'll be more that happy to send some rain over by your way. Now do you want gale force winds, or light winds to go along with it?? I also want to know if you want heavy rain, medium, or light?? Well over here in sountheastern PA we got some good hard and heavy RAIN!!! We also had flash flooding in some areas. I was comming from Whole Foods (food market) when it decided to come down like it had not rained in months. I mean I couldn't see anything while I was driving. It was like a white out!!!
Well railfan619 you'll be happy to know that I hit some really huge and nice puddles with my truck today!!! It was soo cool, one of the puddles I had the water rise up over my roof and hit the car behind me. After that he backed way off from me. I think he must of thought I was nuts. lol So far the weather line up is looking like we'll get some rain tomorrow and on Monday. I do hope so I really am not up to playing softball tomorrow, and I also want to look at the rivers if it does rain.

Carl since I'm sure the wedding is over by now ( I would hope lol) how does it feel having two son-in-laws??

CW are there any snacks I can have?? If not I'll just wait until tomorrow for brunch or something.

Sarah, sweetheart, the reception was still going on when you wrote that (we were there until about 11:00 p.m.). But it's over now. Everybody was telling us what a beautiful ceremony it was (and what a great party the reception was!). I expected my daughter to stay fairly close to her seat during most of the reception, but she was out on the dance floor as much as anyone (and more than a lot of people!), and having a great time. The highlight of the reception was my new son-in-law executing a perfect rendition of Elwood Blues' "Soul Man" dance (from The Blues Brothers), shades and all!

The caboose at the end of Linda's train was a hit--people thought that the entire ceremony reflected the couple and their parents very well.

Yes, Sarah, life is good--and even better, we were stopped by a 70-mph intermodal train on our way home! AMG

Joe, thanks for getting the coffee and juice ready. Sunday brunch: sausage,
biscuits & gravy, grits, oatmeal, toast, jelly, jam, marmalade (if you want it on
your toast), cantalope and watermelon cubes. Also have cereal if you'd rather
have that.

Supper tonight: fried chicken, homemade biscuits, gravy, mashed potatoes.
Dessert: cherry, apple, peach pies w/ice cream.

Heat is bearing down on our town today and even the forecast for scattered T-storms has dropped off the board. We complain because our lawns get brown, but for our friends who farm are confronted with much more. We all hope that we can have at least some control over major aspects of our lives. Going in, farmers know they can't control the weather.

It is the twelfth for Linda and I, so we are dining out tonight at a very nice place that overlooks Geneva Lake. We could go to the Depot Diner, but neither of us think that watching trains go by is just right for the occasion.

Clouding up around here,have already heard several "Booms" of thunder,looks
like we may get what was forecast,"scattered thunder showers" all day.
We are still below normal rainfall amounts for the year,but this last week of
off an on rain have helped considerably.(especially the farmers)

83F at 10:25 a.m. here in Aurora, IL and counting (counting up that is). We are in a severe drought condition here in the northern IL area and it's no longer funny at all. Hope we get some relief soon or my grass is going to dye and many businesses around here will also suffer. Keep you fingers crossed and hope for some rain (in light doses please Lord).

It's too hot (95 now; it hit 96 earlier, according to the Bug), and I'm still too stuffed from yesterday. Took a swing around Joliet this afternoon (for me--haven't been there in years), and went to a quilt store for Pat.

Tuesday, when it's cooler, we'll drive down to Danville, where Pat sent a quilt for their display contest. It won first prize in the wall-hanging contest, so we'll see how it looks with blue highlighting (as in "blue ribbon"). For me, we'll take a swing around the Freight Car America plant and look for other exciting stuff before heading back home. I'm hoping that CSX, CN, NS, and UP will keep me entertained on the drives there and back.

Mutt/Cher/Jim, we need mugs that can be put in the cooler for frosted drinks!

Oh my did I have an interesting day today. First I woke up at around 12:15pm (Eastern Standard Time) and got ready to go to my softball game. When I got there it was raining a bit but, the game was still on. So........we played right until the top of the 2nd inning I mean out of no were it started to rain hard, withing 2 mins the streets of Norristown (aka Little Philly) were rushing like rageing rivers of death. I mean I'v never ever seen anything like it before, I felt as though I was in torrnado ally or something. Anyway, one of our players was coming to home plate when the rain made the dirt mudy and he sliped and feel down hard. Then I hear my name getting called very loudly SARAH!!!!!!! (One of the team members called me over since I have certifcation in Safety and First Aid, plus anout three months ago I helped one of our team mates who got a ball beemed in her arm) So I ran over to his aid. It turns out that he was ok but really muddy. lol So, we went home and while I was driving the roads in Norristown were flooded out completely and I have to tell you people in Norristown or I should say in PA don't know how to drive under those conditiions. So (this will make railfan619 happy) I charged through lots of puddles today in my truck. I also got my hair wet, which is something I didn't want to do.

Well right now I'm not doing too much sitting on the computer doing nothing but listing to Dvorak's symphony # 7 done my the ever so great Philadelphia Orchestra. I'm about to pop in some Gustav Mahler symphony # 2. So with this I'll say to CW that I think I'm ready for the o so wonerdful fried chicken, homemade biscuits, gravy, mashed potatoes now. I think I'll have a Sprite to go with it. Please [:D][dinner]

Carl I have to tell you I think the highlight of the entire wedding and reception was Chris doing that perfict imatation from the Blues Brothers, oh yea Chris knows how to get down. lolThat must of been one excellent reception last night for just about eveyone to stay until the wee hours of the morrning. hehehehe I'm glad eveything went well.

...I had mentioned Indianapolis was to get over 2" of rain yesterday...well on the late news last night I saw pictures of cars flooded up to the windows and quite a few situations like that and then I heard them say some areas of Indy got over 4" of the stuff and we here just about 60 straight miles north, got about a quarter of an inch in the same time period....

Well, it tried to rain in Madison today about 2pm, but didn't get much. Had made a decent showing at the poker table today, finished 19th out of about 64 people. I've got a long way to go before I can get a chance to win a trip to Vegas.

Speaking of Las Vegas, the World Series of Poker finished up this week, all I know is someone from Austrailia won the main event, and Doyle Brunson won his record tenth bracelet this year in the $5k no-limit Hold'em.

I'll take a light dinner tonite, we tied the record high here yesterday, and came close today, it's preeeeety warm out there.
