Since my little sister has honored me by using my computer for her first post ever not done from Lincoln, I thought I'd better follow her in.

We are having the time of our lives...it does my heart good!

MC, I'm being allowed to inform you that someone in our dinner party tonight had barbecued fowl, and really enjoyed herself with it.

Since SJ now has to be driven many miles to get to her comfortable hammock for the night, I will pat her head, hug her goodbye and send her out the door.

And follow her out closely.

Brian you are not only going to need new ankles, but probably new kneecaps!

Don't just look over your shoulder; best turn your head all the way around!

Brother Carl walked two of my 4 feet right off, so will be a lot cheaper buying new boots this winter.

The payback list is really getting long!

Randy and Jay were so nice to visit with and they didn't once laugh at my Duh questions.
But neither one brought chocolate cake, either!

And to the rest of you - neener, neener!

Mook!

Glad all you folks had a good week end. Phx. is noted for strange happenings.

Glad everyone liked their sandwiches for lunch. My dr. appt. was for 9:50 this
morning; didn't see the dr. until 11:15. Par for the course in a dr.'s office.

I hope everyone will like supper tonight: creamy garlic and herb tuna casserole
is on the menu for tonight.

Another nice, pleasant day here. Temps are in the mid 70s, and there's a nice,
cool breeze. Going to miss that this time next week, when the 80-85 temps come
into the area.

I think I'll make a very small sandwich for lunch- all the socializing and required eating out that goes along with it has reversed the effect of my recent diet. Time to get back in the saddle...

Probably just as well. Since I own the same make and model camera that Brian uses, I know the camera could take it, but then there would be the problem of the Trains.com server crashing. Bergie would be very unhappy.[:D][:D]

Brian, here's your order, including the Mt. Dew. I usually don't do "over easy" with
eggs, so consider yourself lucky this morning! lol.

Regular breakfast menu is ready and on the warmer bar.

I will be away for awhile this morning. Have a doctor's appt. this morning. Nothing
serious. In case I'm not back by lunchtime, there's fixings for sandwiches in the
cooler for lunch.

Nice photos. Looks like you guys had some great weather and a chance to meet some great people.

CW
It's been a busy weekend. Can I put an order for 2 eggs(over easy), 3 pieces bacon and couple pieces of toast. Need a Mt. Dew to get me up also.

Everyone have a great and productive day.

OK, I finally got some time to get this done- and yes, I managed to escape unharmed after getting this shot, although I'll probably be looking over my shoulder for a few weeks...

CShaveRR and mookie, enjoying the day in the pavilion at Rochelle.

Here's my wife Joanie and Randy (rvos1979) relaxing in the sun.

And, a sample of the action...

Jay managed to escape before I could point the camera at him.

I've got a few more of the railroad action which I'll add to my rrpicturearchives site when I have more time.

Darn, I was gonna meet them at on the Train when they come into Villa Park. Maybe another time then.

Well, got a call from JHH awhile ago: his computer is acting up again. He
wanted to let everyone know it'll be awhile before he is back in here with us.
He said he could get his email yesterday, but cannot get onto the forums.

Sunday Dinner this evening will be: cold cuts, slaw, potato salad, ham salad,
and chips. We'll have our big Sunday Dinners next week, after everyone is back
with us.

Good Sunday morning, everyone. Well, looks like we only had 1 pizza eaten
last night. So the rest of the pizzas have been frozen for next Saturday.

Sunday brunch is: turkey bacon, sausage, sausage gravy, biscuits, and
grape jelly and strawberry preserves.

I haven't decided what's for Sunday Dinner, so will get back with you on that.

Everyone have a great day and STAY SAFE out there.

...At 1:32 today I saw 3 people standing at the end of the fence at Rochelle....Folks dressed in grey tones...one had white shorts on...One had what looked like it could be a wide brimed ladies hat...?? There was a train passing and they were out at the far end of the fence...Could it have been "them"....??

I believe you'll find a lot of the "regulars" at Rochelle,Il. today.
Can't really vouch for the other ones though;guess it's depending
on the weather in their locations as to what's going on.
We've got a semi-nice day,today here in the Ohio Valley;partly sunny,
in the mid '70s,mild breeze(better than the last few days[xx(])
May try and take advantage of that and go railfanning ourselves in a bit.[:)]

Maybe a few of them will make it back in for "Saturday's Pizza Fest" !![swg]

Morning All

My computer is starting to give me a lot of trouble. I tried to post while ago and when I hit send reply it did nothing. [:(!] [:(!] [:(!] I could have typed 1,000 pages and that would have been fine, it just wouldn't let me "send" it. [:(!] [:(] [:(!]

A while back one of my memory sticks went bad. I tried to replace it. I got the same speed stick but it wouldn't work with my remaining stick. When I took out the new stick the comp would work. It is just getting very slow and unpredictible. [B)] [:(] [V]

I think they actually make them to only last 3 or 4 years. I have heard that they actually have models ready for 2 or 3 years in the future but that they want to sell older technology first (that has been developed but not on the market or new to the market) then bring on the newer stuff.

Well everyone have a good day.

Take Care

Mornin' all.....

Decided today that I will head down to Rochelle, it's only about an hour and a half drive, and the truck could use a drive to stretch it's legs. Be down there about 10:30-11:00.

Thanks for the breakfast CW, very good as always.

Good Saturday morning, everyone! Looks like it's going to be a very beautiful
day today. Guess that means hardly anyone will be in here. So I've put out
breakfast on the breakfast warmer bar: sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs,
biscuits, sausage gravy, and fried taters. Will keep it refreshed until 2 p.m.
