Got cold cereal set out this morning, and there's oatmeal and toast. Also
have some fresh strawberries (that haven't had sugar added to them) to
go with your cereal this morning.

Just had to pop in and say "Hi." Got back from Yellowstone last night. Sorry didn't post anything as promised. The Wireless internet at the campground was terrible at best.

I will endeavour to get some shots posted ASAP. I've got to wade through the 600+ images I took though first. It was a great trip though. The wildlife was out of this world. Off the top of my head, I saw the following: Bison, elk, coyotes, wolves, black bears, grizzly bears, whooping cranes, moose, mule deer, marmots, fox, pronghorn antelope, trumpeter swans, herons, osprey, and probably lots more that I know I'm forgetting.

Didn't get a chance to go railfanning, unfortunately. Hopefully will have some time to go railfanning next weekend (Headed to Steamboat Springs for the long weekend). One of my first stops is going to be the Georgetown Loop to see if they've got #9 fired up yet.

Hope you are all well.

TTFN!

Chris: On Monday I did an over and back to Glenwood. Monday morning they had lit the boiler and moved #9 out of the shop to keep the heat outside. At 7:30 PM going back east it was back inside with no sign of smoke out of the shop building.

WoW!! I can't belive how dead it is here in the diner today. I guess it's because the Mookster isn't in here. BUT....the food is still good anyway so that is why I am here today. lol

Well, my first couple of days back at work (I work at a diesel servicing facility) have been very exhausting. But, I just received word today that I am going to face a promotion into management, instead of being out on the floor. So, I'll be dealing directly with the customer. OH my I guess I should welcome myself to the great world of "The customer's always right".

Cheeseburger with, please. I'll dress it myself [dinner]...

All scheduled up to run on the Adirondack all Memorial Day weekend (at Thendara). Two runs a day. Starting assignment is "car host." We'll see how quickly we can work up the scale.

Good Wednesday morning, everyone! Boy, it just isn't the same without the Mookster
in here. I think everyone thinks it's vacation from the Diner time!! NOT so!! We still
need everyone else in here.

Breakfast this morning: turkey bacon, sausage, sausage gravy and home made
buttermilk biscuits. There is honey to put on the biscuits, after you've melted some
butter on biscuit. Practically melt in your mouth. And there's fresh strawberries, too.

Lunch will be served out on the patio today: I'll be grilling burgers, and hotdogs
for lunch, and the sides will be: cole slaw, potato salad, chips, and more strawberry
shortcake for dessert.

Supper tonight will be: roast beef, taters, carrots and onions, with side dishes of
green beans and cole slaw (or potato salad) and a nice chocolate cake for dessert.

I've got a Mediacom cable modem connection here, and I'll never go back to anything else.

Sorry I missed dinner, the weather's too nice today. I'll try some of that strawberry shortcake, though!

Oh, and mark your calendars, starting next Tuesday I'll provide the cake.

Chocolate.

Every night.

A la mode, even.

I'll have mine to go tonight - headed for a meeting. Hopefully that strawberry shortcake is on nice fresh, warm sourdough biscuits!

Joe, thanks for the steak idea!! And Walt (Mutt), thank you for firing up the grill, and
getting the steaks started. To go with the steaks, we've got baked beans, corn on
the cob, garden salad, and tater chips.

And yes, we have STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE for dessert tonight!!

Jim, so glad to hear that your puter started back working on it's own!! I know that can
be a real pain in the neck!!

Well Hello All

After 2 or 3 days of not being able to access the internet AOL decided to let me back on. How nice of them. NOT [:(!] [:(!] [:(!] During this time I could send and receive instant messages and emails but not surf the net. I didn't do anything it just stopped working then started working again all by itself. I have just about had enough of AOL. I got rid of AOL High Speed because of their extremely poor product and service. I am "this close" to getting rid of AOL altogether.

I see I have a lot of catching up to do. I am not sure when I can do it tho. Zach and his dad and Zach's friend will be here tomorrow for the 844. In between some of the activities they will be having supper here. Needless to say, I have been doing housework like crazy. [;)] [B)] [8] But I have some left to do, so I better get to it.

supply of chocolate around with you.

Joe; Steak does sound really good for this evening,I'll go ahead and get the
grills going. I'm sure CW can come up with some really good "sides"!![dinner]
(I do have a few extra cans of spray paint if you need them.[:D])

Randy; The last time I saw a house being moved that early in the morning was
over 35 years ago when I was in college. Looked out the window of my dorm room
on the 15th floor, and saw a Big 2 story house go rolling inching by.

problems this morning. Finally got it straightened out, though.

Got regular breakfast menu on the warmer bar for everyone.

See everyone later, after I get through with Produce. Everyone take care, and have

Morning all.......

Been a busy weekend here, put 400 miles or so on the truck, half of that was the trip to Rochelle, was a great pleasure meeting Jay, Brian and wife, Carl and Pat, and, of course, Mookie and Driver. Had a great time, and the UP was runnin' 'em like streetcars.

Mookie, I TOLD you, come to Burlington, WI for the Chocolatefest, all the chocolate you could ever want in one place!!

Sunday I went to my parents, my aunt from Aspen, CO was home for the weekend, got to chat with the whole family, and see my cousin's new daughter. My mom is doing well, some pain still, but that is to be expected, will be like that for some time.

Had an unusual happening on the way home this morning, got stopped by a house and garage being moved down the highway. They decided that 2am was the best time to move the house down the highway, didn't count on the traffic coming out of the trailer plant!

Talk to everyone later.
