.....Does that mean the Denver area will send that hot stuff on east for us to enjoy a bit later this week....Probably so. Saturday in Muncie we dedicated our 1901 former C & O Depot opening back to life. Abandoned for most of the last 2 decades except a brief usage by Amtrak right before that the Depot is now back to it's original glory and beauty. A brick building with real [brand new], tile roof and all refurbished inside and all new mechanicals including A/C'ing..It is now open as the Cardinal Greenway Trail Head and includes artifacts of rail lineage on display inside along with business offices of the trail and so on...$860,000 renovation. A real community asset and the trail is widely used.

Okay, JHHTrainsPlanes, I am back, and I have brought my HO turbines! When can we fit in a special passenger excursion on the layout pulled by double heading C&O M1's?[(-D][(-D][(-D][(-D][(-D]

<Sits down at bar>

I need a strong cup of coffee, double shot of 'express'o. Who needs all night dancing? We have all night operating sessions![:-,]

We need to get a nice consist going for an [bow]S2[bow]. You can't just pull any old freight with it. It needs big, long trains.

"And we'll have fun fun fun"... until someone forgets to pay the electric bill.[:D]

MC....Yes, understand the west is critical on water needs....We were out of town for just about a week and upon returning I checked my rain gauge and we had received 1 1/2" in our absence. Rain has been just about right in this imediate area all spring. Perhaps less than an avg. spring but plenty to keep things growing, etc....Have mowed my yard 20 times so far this season so it must be refreshed enough.

Whatever you guys are feeding me, it must be working. I got the results of my blood tests today, and all of the cholesterol numbers went in the right direction, some very dramatically. Total cholesterol is down from 232 to 136, in roughly two months!

Now it's time to lose some weight.

OK - poking raisins in bread for Modelcar. Gotta shut Locomutt off the coffee - he is getting jittery.

Biscuits and gravy for trainsboatsplanesandallthatjazz and a plate of birdseed for - well, we all know who.

Since it is a hot day throughout most of the land, we will have chilled bird meat with spinach mixed in, salad. (trust me, it is delicious) Serve it really cold with croissants or just good crackers. Yummy! And Gazpacho...................................................oh sorry - was drifting off thinking about lunch! And......cantaloupe - a real favorite with this writer.

Carl,

Yeah, I COULD be making up for when power was off; but that's not the
case.

Mookie, an ad for the old C&O would be welcome. It is my favorite fallen flag.

Ask Bergie or somebody, why the delete will not work at night, when we
mess up and try to delete something. When I kept trying to post last
night, I kept getting a message about Flood Control was inacted, so
guess that's why it came up five times instead of one time.

SOOOORRRRYYY. It was not totally my fault. Have written an email to
Bergie, but haven't heard back yet this morning.

Don't worry, Mutt...when we see something like that, we blame "the computer", not the person behind it.

And, yes, C&O is still right up there with me, too. I suppose it would be sacrilege to mention the coverage of the C&O main line received in another widely-circulated prototype fan magazine whose name starts with a "CTC".

Mookie,

The problem is NOT ENOUGH coffee in Walt's system!

Carl, you know that Walt is a humongous C&O fan. A pair of double heading
M1s would be a sight to behold. Walt would LOVE to have a picture of the
500s together. And Carl, congratulations on getting cholestorol down.
Walt always quote Justin Wilson line: I don't worry about cholestorol because
I can't spell it.!"

He kept me out here at the computer with him, trying to get all the extra posts
deleted. And it just was not working!! [:0][:p][8][8][:I]

....Today Jen, we substituted a glazed donut for the raisin bread....No coffee, as it is getting too hot...orange juice. MC's hot weather now has invaded us here too. Just came in off my walk and it feels better in here than outside. Indiana is no slough when it comes to humidity and today it is starting to turn it on full blast. Might be a good day to just sit at the counter and drink a cold one...but in a few I must head out and run the John Deere over the lawn.

Hmmm,

Cinnamon rolls would be a very good addition to the menu.

Modelcar, it NEVER gets too hot for my coffee: I just turn the coffeemaker off, and drink
coffee at room temperature!!
