Cool in AZ mountains this AM, 50 degrees and going into mid 70's this afternoon. Today's Arizona Republic, our major newspaper, says the weather service advises the 'monsoon season' begins today.

My young wife and I celebrated 55 years of marriage Saturday night with a wonderful dinner in a restaurant with a view of 25 miles. We were there last year and had the same table next to an open window. The manager remembered us with two glasses of champagne.

....A nice pleasant hazy, sunny morning here in central Indiana....Should be a pretty nice day.

Do hear quite a few trains moving thru {some distance away}, on NS and CSX this morning.  Some mornings sound carries better than other times.

That is the second time that yaehu has made the same post. The first time was Friday night with an obscene user name and 40 entries. I have reported this one too!

Good afternoon, everyone.  I see we've had an unwanted critter in here.  Where's the exterminator?  This critter seems to be showing up several places around here, before they came into the cafe/diner.Disapprove

Here is what I've come up with for our menu for the rest of the day:

Roast, potatoes and carrots w/beef gravy, green beans, broccoli w/butter sauce, creamed corn w/cornbread, sliced red tomatoes and there's fresh cottage cheese for anyone who likes it.

DESSERTS:  yellow cake w/icing, chocolate cup cakes w/chocolate icing, no bake wheat fudge cookies and strawberry Jell-O.

I should be leaving in about an hour, to go to the orthortics place and get fitted for the new ankle/arch support brace w/metal bars.  Everyone have a very good afternoon, and take care.  Have a chance of pop up storms this afternoon, with a high in the low 80s.

It has apparently been in under several names - reportedly the admins and mods have been in hot pursuit all weekend.  The post count is probably closer to 200 - it's been on other Trains forums as well.

I know of at least 75 postings, Friday night and today. That number was from the post counts under the two user names that I know of. What chance, Murphy, do you have of id'ing and blocking the IP address? Thanks for the effort in cleaning up his droppings.

Or for that matter, IDing the source(s) of his images - might be informative.

In one of my "Report Abuse" messages earlier today, I suggested that:

- The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Federal Communications Commission be notified of these incidents and mis-use of communications facilities; and,

- The juvenile-minded perpetrator - to the extent that "it" or its IP address can be determined - also be advised of the notifications to the FBI and FCC (as a possible deterrent).  We'll see how well this works out shortly, I suppose.

I decided to go train watching this morning and within minutes of my arrival at the train tracks somebody (who I believe used to frequent these forums -- does "BNSFRailfan" ring a bell?) arrived as well. He then proceeded to have an expletive-filled conversation on his CB radio. It looks like the yahoos were out and about all over the place today. The trains also failed to cooperate for the second week in a row.

Thanks Brian.  I was asked to become a user/moderator when Bergie left.  I was cautious about it, but felt the need to try to keep our forum on the up and up.  I'm not sure about the congrats part yet.   There is an outside chance that I may be going insane.Tongue  So far, it *had* been quiet on the ol' forum.

Norris, thanks to you and the other powers that be, for your effort in getting this critter out of here and off the forums!  I know it is very much appreciated by all of us here on the forums.

Well, my appointment went well this afternoon.  I had my foot traced, my foot measured several times, and my leg was also measured and traced.  Hopefully, it will take about two weeks for them to make the brace; although, with my leg and foot being so little, it may take them a little bit longer.

I've replenished everything on the warmer bar for tonight.  And fresh salads, etc., are in the cooler.

We got a nice little rain shower about and hour, hour and a half ago.  I think some areas might have had thunder and lightning, but all we got was some plain ole rain.  That suited me to a tee.

Everyone have a great evening, and take care.

Yes, Norris, thanks to you and all others who have been playing whack-a-mole. I hope you had a shaped charge in your mallet. It is almost ironic that he? it? called us "losers," when it is obvious to decent people who really is the loser in this matter. All I can say is that some people are so perverted that they want to flaunt their perverseness in the faces of decent people.

This morning, one of the elders from our church came out, went up on our top roof, and--maybe--fixed a leak that I had been unable to find. The water did not come into the house, but came under the flashing at the edge and ran down inside the fascia. We'll know after our next good shower; I could see the water running down when I looked out one window. If he did find it, the painting can be completed.

We also went to my latest surgeon so she could check on her work of twelve days ago. She told me what she had had to do to make me whole again, and opined that I may again take baths, but said that I should go slowly on getting back up to distance on my morning constitutional walks.

Paula, I trust that your foot people are getting it right for you this time.

Good Tuesday morning, everyone.  Looks like our morning will be all right, weather-wise; but come mid morning, showers thunder boomers may abound around here.  Guess we may have to have Tuesday Produce inside the gym.

Coffee, juices and regular breakfast items are ready.

Hopefully, our pesky critter has been eradicated!  Thank you Norris, and everyone  at Kalmbach for taking care of this.

Everyone take care, and I'll try to get back in here for lunch (provided we don't have any severe weather threats, like tornado watches/warnings, crop up in our area.   Just in case, there's plenty of roast, taters, etc. from yesterday left, so you all can heat it up.

Morning CN and Joe!

CN Breakfast was good! Also CW I think our inapropreate, dumb narrow minded fool of a forum member has been trashed. Am I right Norris? I started a post for us all to open up on this topic called "Thanks to the Mods." Feel free to go there.

Well, a drizzly 71* right now here in western Indiana. No lightning looks like. Sadly Joe, looks like the storm is supposed to re-genarate or something. You might get some nasty weather. I sure hope not. That would make for some awful rail fanning.

Well, I hope you have a good time at Tuseday Morning Produce CW, and everyone I hope you have a good day at work! I will most likley see you later on!

OK - let's see if I can type a little before the next nap attack....(humid weather to blame, I am sure)

Norris - congrats - hope you have a lot of hair to pull out!  Approve  We will try to mind our Ps and Qs in here.

Willy/Murray - same one.  I know someone that ran into him in the Fremont/Blair area.  Wasn't too impressed with him, either.  He has some real anger issues.

Saw only coal this last weekend.  Kind of quiet again.

Tree - we are still the True Midwest!  Big Smile  Even more so now that "tornado alley" has moved to Colorado!  We get any more midwest and there will be chicken feathers all over the place.

Backyard rabbit getting a little too cozy.  "It" comes pretty close when you are putting out seed/corn/peanuts.  I know squirrels will get close if you don't throw and run, but wild rabbits?  It sleeps close to the house and every morning and every evening, the Driver always greets it with the appropriate phrase.  Fish kissing, bunny greeting - I can tell things are definitely slow at work.  (Only 'til August)

Great Grandson has now moved to town, so must get ready for another "meeting".

A very very humid evening here. Thank goodness I have my fan with me! My fingers would stick to the keyboard. CW, I must appolagise to you. This morning I said CN not CW. I don't think that the greater Chicagoland area hate you for running too many trans through there. Sorry for that, and I hope I didn't offend you.Ashamed

Well, Tminus 3weeks 4 days till our Amtrak vacation to Denver!!!

Mookie, your rabbit story reminded me of something that not many folks know, and I'm going to let you know our secret. Carolina rabbits are not rabbits! Technically, they are hares. I always thought that they were one and the same, but an article in the local paper a few years cleared it all up. It has something to do with the size and shape of the tail. Now you know the rest of the story and can correct anyone who spouts off about Rabbits in Carolina. My yard is part thicket (Very thick) and is full of squirrels and hares (One must endeavour to be accurate about such things), and my girls are constantly chasing something to and fro. It is quite comical so see the hares double back and lose the dogs easily. Now you know, TTFN

Justin, you didn't hurt my feelings.  I kind of figured you might have hit the wrong key.  I do that myself, and sometimes, I don't even catch my mistake.  Don't worry about it.

Supper menu tonight: Mexican Fiesta time!

1.  6 oz. sirloan;  2. Mesquite grilled chicken *** dinner;  3.  Chimichanga Dinner;  4.  Baja burrito;  5.  tacos;  6.  burritos (beef, beef & bean and beef enchilada style); 7.  Fajitas;  8.  Spanish rice;  9.  quesadillas; and tortilla chips with your choice of picante sauce, salsa, or chili con queso

Walt's friends made it down today.  I really enjoyed meeting them.  They had moved away from Kentucky, before Walt and I even met.  I told them they are welcome here any time, and I really meant it!!

Tuesday Produce went well.  We had to move it inside, because as soon as the ladies showed up to open the door, it started raining.  And it was pouring buckets and buckets.  Along with thunder and lightning.

On the truck today for us:  iceburg lettuce, onions and potatoes.  The only thing I brought home as a head of lettuce.  We've got plenty of onions and potatoes for at least a week here, so I didn't bother to get any onions & potatoes.

Everyone have a good evening and take care.

Tom - I had heard that there was a difference - just didn't know for sure what it was. Our rabbits are just plain old cottontails and we do have jackrabbits out on the prairie.  I would imagine our jackrabbits are more like your hares.  (having an urge to say something about splitting hares right here....must move on.....)

I also read that they really like birdseed - yes they do - and ours like peanuts, too.  I think we have a mated pair, but they don't seem to have babies - or none that I have seen.  Maybe she is on the pill.....

Just as well - one or two is enough!  Summer officially on its way - going to be in the 90's later this week.  Will send it on east!
