Mookie

CW - I will take care of lunch for you.  I raided the kitty litter fund and will order in - chicken and tuna subs!  Approve  Purrfect!

Mookie, thank you so much for taking care of lunch for me!  I really, really appreciate it!!

I left this morning around 10:30, and got home about 3:30.  Just two errands that I had to take care of (driver's license and go to Walmart for a couple of things.  All the time was basically used up waiting for buses!  One thing I got at Walmart was a new watch.  The battery on my old watch died quite awhile ago, and I've just been making do with my cell phone, since it has a clock on it.  But there are times, when I forget my cell phone when I leave the house, or just go outside, so I'm glad to have a watch again.

Justin, I'm glad you mom made it through her surgery fine, and the pain will subside.

Willy, sounds like you all are going all out for your graduation party! Thumbs Up Thumbs Up  And I hope any rain and storms hold off until after you graduation and the party ends.

Everyone enjoy your supper, and you all have a great evening and take care!

Justin and everybody else, here's the supper menu tonight:

Meatloaf with shellie beans, mashed taters & gravy, cole slaw and garden salads for those who don't want cole slaw.

Willy2

We went shopping today for all sorts of stuff for the party. Dishes, napkins, tablecloths, food, food, and more food. Did I mention food? Dinner We're also having the Garden Cafe cater some sandwiches, fruit dishes, and vegetable dishes. Such fun!

Off and on severe weather is expected through Sunday Night, but hopefully the party will be in a dry slot. Our rainfall for this year is already 5.88" below average, so we need rain, just not when I'm partying. Those of you who know me are well aware of what an extreme party animal I am. Big Smile

Willy, your alls "Weatherpeople" wouldn't DARE schedule "Bad" weather

on your Party Day!!   Hope it is a Great One!

Justin, very glad to hear that your mom is doing alright, how is grandmom?

Good Saturday morning, everyone.  Nice, cool morning, with a temp of 53.

Joe, thanks so much for fixing breakfast.  As always, your help around here is very much appreciated!

Think I'll take a cup of coffee, a small glass of pineapple juice, and a couple of cinnamon rolls.

Joe, do you think the Reds can redeem themselves today?  Sure hope so.

Everyone have a very good day, and I'll see you all back in here for our Saturday Night Pizza Fest.

Wow - Willy is definitely "cleaning up" for his party.  We had a great rainstorm last nite - lights and music included.  1.72 definitely washed everything off.

This must be the summer for family - all sorts of relatives are coming and going.  Have some new ones coming in July, so a very busy time for us.

I see Sir Mud has retained his sense of humor.  Approve

Off to see what excitement the world holds today.

Too nice to be inside at the computer, and plenty to do outside.  Despite a brief interruption to my sleep for a person who drove off the road and hit a house, then left the scene (not my house), I'm ready to go!

Willy - Congrats!  We'll look forward to the next graduation party in about four years!

Later, all!

Good morning. Justin, that's some getup you have there. Very nice. I am glad your mother and grandmother are OK and on the improve. 67 degrees and cloudy in Carolina with more thunderstorms projected for later. A real heavy storm came through last night, chased me off the wireless and then rained heavily for a while. There is a flood warning for the creeks and rivers north of us. Willy, all the best for a great and memorable graduation. I remember mine well from several hundred years ago (actually 44). It just seems like longer.... Everybody take care

Tom, you've got me by about three years, I Graduated High School in 1968; I remember

mine as well, an "Outdoor Graduation" at our Football Stadium, luckily no rain.

(same year as Tree 68, different schools, different states)

Justin, thanks for the updates on your Mom, Grandmom and pics. of the Cafe.

Hmm, I didn't realize we were in a "Streamlined" car, always thought we were

in one of the "Heavyweights"!! Smile,Wink, & Grin

Church across the street from us is getting ready to start their Bible School

on Mon., they're having a Parade today as part of it; from the noise I'm hearing

outside, sounds like they're getting ready to start it. One of the "floats", is a

Louisville Fire Dept. engine that "serves" our neighborhood, hopefully

they won't come past here with the "Q" going full blast!

Thank you, Tom!

Larry - Hopefully it will be in four years. One of our local meteorologists failed calculus four times, so if I'm like him, it might not be for five or six years.

What a nice couple of hours trackside.  The economy improved immensely today!  Saw mostly freight, which we haven't seen much of lately.  Most of the freight headed south and had one DODX train also headed that way.  Lots of vehicles to choose from, but only in green.

And a very special BNSF coal car - a Willy car!  A beautiful Orca whale painted on the side (think Free Willy).  I got some cards for my graduation - Willy gets his own coal car!  I had so much fun watching all this it took a 3 hour nap to get me back to normal....

Good morning, everyone.  Nice and pleasant here this morning, with a temp in the low 60s.  Supposed to get up to 90 today.

Mookie, sounds like you had a very good time trackside yesterday.  Here's your coffee mug with plenty of coffee in it.

Yes, coffee is ready, along with hot water for tea, iced tea, lemonade, Gatorade, and for those of you who don't drink any of the preceding list, there's also soft drinks of every kind.

On the warmer bar this morning:  blueberry muffins, bacon ,sausage, scrambled eggs, toast, homemade buttermilk biscuits w/sausage gravy.

Everyone have a good morning, and take care today.

Centrial Indiana has a hazy but sunny sky this morning....Mod. temps and no doubt it will be warmer today....Hazy, probably means higher humidity.  That is what we're famous for here at least in the Summer time...and it's close to being that.

Maybe some rain tonight.

Watched a NS train stopped at our McD's location in west Muncie last evening waiting to prooceed east and or south as well.  He was stopped for some time adjacent to that parking lot waiting.  Finally hearing the DP on my radio indicate it was clear and the engineer asking how was traffic tonight...and the answer was, very light...he eased it out with a leading NS GE and ex. Conrail power and moved thru Muncie.  Lots of Corn Syrup tankers and then mostly coverd grain cars with some mixed box cars.

Morning/afternoon everyone! Whatever it is?

A quite warm and beautifull Indidana morning here. Well, guess what now... Now, Grandpa is in the Methodest Hospital in Indianapolis! I think we are all taking turns going to the hospital. Well, at least it's not serious. Just out paitent. I went and saw him last night, and the nurse stubbed her toe on the foot of his bed. she goes OUCHHH!  Grandpa put on a scowl, and said "Back when I worked on the railroad, I dropped a coupler knuckle on my foot and I never went ouchhh! about it!" "Suck it up!"Laugh I felt really bad for the nurse, but it was histaricly funny! Any way, mom had a good night last night. Slept all night anyway. She is laying down now though. CW, b-fast was good! Can't wait for supper!

For mudchicken's birthday dinner, we have:  Steaks w/baked potatoes, green beans, asparagas, salad, homemade dinner rolls, and real butter.  Guess we'll have the birthday dessert later, as I haven't heard yet,  from Sir C, on what he'd like for dessert.
