Q - I have had all those same problems.  I am not sure just what it is, but it shows errors on the forum that I never see on any other sites.  Think this forum still has "bugs".

Randy - if you are headed east - good luck.  Looks like eastern seaboard is going to be a mess today.  Sunny - not to bad here - oops - now cloudy.  So some sun, some clouds.

CW - I snuck out the McD's and got a riblette for lunch - I love those and they only have them for a short time.  So will take a sloppy "Ohio" and tuck it away for later.

......A bit of winter here this morning.....Not much, compared to what many other folks are receiving in different parts of the country.  32.2 degrees now and overnight about a half inch of powdery snow.

Tried to check in here earlier this morning and got a window telling me if I haven't updated my password, etc.....I need to do so....and it was showing me the oldest to newest in posts.....and that the format has "changed"....Yes, duh.....I know it has some many month ago.  So I had to go thru the ritual of entering my "old email and password" to be a legitimate player, and then it signed  me in as normal.

What promoted that....who knows.

A day or two ago I could get on the forum normally but when I tried to open a post...it would not respond.  Also I would get "error on page" at the status bar across the bottom of the screen.

Have no Idea if it's something on my end or from the web site itself.  But after getting "signed in" a few minutes ago, it seems to be operating normal...

Have no other answers....Email and the rest of computer op here seems to be normal.

Good Wednesday morning, everyone.  Brian, I'm very glad to hear that you are doing better!

We're starting the day with a temp of about 33, 34 degrees this morning, and our high today is to be in the mid to upper 30s.  Supposed to have some light snow showers or ocassional flurries.  Not supposed to have more than a dusting.

Coffee, juices, hot chocolate, hot cider and hot water for tea are ready.  On the warmer bar this morning:  bagels, bear claws, turkey bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, toast, pineapple slices and some cantaloupe.

Wonder where Dan (Braun) is?  Haven't seen him around for a few days.  Hope everything's all right up there.

Everyone have a good morning, stay warm and take care.

Brian - sounds like something along the lines of what my friend Kim has.  They have her on a schedule of an allergy drug and prednisone (if she gets an outbreak.)  She spends a lot of time in the sun and I suspect it may cause her outbreaks.  She is doing just fine as long as she stays with the right forumla and doesn't run out.

I hope your outcome goes as well as hers has.

Mookie

Wonder how Brian is doing?

That Prednisone is a miracle drug.

Today is the first day in over three weeks that I feel NORMAL.  In fact, I feel great.  The swelling, stiffness, rash, and fever are all gone.  The only down side- back to work tomorrow.

Now, the real test will be when they wean me off this stuff- sometimes the symptoms come back.  If they do, I'll be making a trip to Rochester to see some real experts.

Didn't know a semi could run down the road sideways......

Just kidding, everything stayed upright and in line on the way up from SE Ohio, but had to knock the ice off the grille after 75 miles, truck was starting to run a little hot.  After that, was not too bad, just wet.

Delivering in Elgin tomorrow morning, then off for points unkown, but could get interesting if I go down south again, freight is way down.

See everyone later.....

Good afternoon, all. It was not so cold this morning--in the twenties--and it got up into the low thirties, with a few sprinkles of snow. We are to reach the forties tomorrow--a heat wave!

Later on, I'm off to a six o'clock Epiphany service at church; Ricki will stay home as she does not like slippery surfaces underfoot at all, and especially at night.

Y'all take care.

Well, I'm finally home from Produce.  The truck was running late, and didn't show up until after 11:00.  We had 60 people today.  Not bad, for the first Tuesday with just about everyone coming back.  The goodies were kind of worth the long wait:  cauliflower, broccoli spears, skim milk, chocolate milk, potatoes, and there was something else that I'm not remembering.

Lunch and supper will be:  Steamed broccoli, cauliflower w/cheddar cheese sauce, and our regular Tuesday Mexican Fiesta:

1.  Burritos (beef, beef & bean and beef enchilada style;  2.  Tacos (soft shell & hard shell);  3.  Enchiladas;  4.  Chimichangas;  5.  quesadillas;  6.  Spanish rice;  7.  Shredded lettuce w/onion and diced tomatoes

Not too sure, but I think the light rain has started again, as the cars going by in front of the house, the pavement sounds wet as they're drivng by.  Supposed to be off and on rain, getting to a high of 39.

Going to fix myself a plate, and then maybe take a nap.    You all enjoy, have a good afternoon, and take care!

Good morning. CW, thanks for serving breakfast this morning! I have the day off today and will be venturing out within the next couple hours to get my hair cut, I'm a little overdue for that and am looking a bit shaggy. Right now we have somewhere between 15 and 22 degrees here in Sioux Falls, depending on which source of information I look at, and it is supposed to warm up to about 32 this afternoon. Not too bad for the month of January. I hope the rest of you out there are all having a good day. Stay warm!

Good Tuesday morning, everyone.  So glad you all really liked the supper last night!  I thought it just might hit the spot for you all!

34 degrees this morning, with drizzling rain.  To the north of us, it's freezing rain.  Going to make a rough commute for some drivers this morning.  Our high this afternoon, is to get to 39 degrees F.

Coffee, juices, hot chocolate, hot cider and hot water for tea are ready.

On the warmer bar this morning:  bagels, bear claws, turkey bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, hash browns, homemade buttermilk biscuits w/sausage gravy, and there's some fresh sliced pineapple, also.

You all have a very good morning, stay warm, and keep safe out there.

There is always that great Southern (and often time Mid-Western variation) Dish of the three bean bake. You know the one with the navy beans, lima beans and pork and beans cooked all together with ground sausage, lean hamburger and beef stew. Sounds like as mess until you start eating it with lots yellow cornbread, cold milk or for the bold good coffee.

I am sure that as great a cook as yourself Miss Paula could put together a great evening meal with variations on that theme.

Because one thing is certain in this place, nobody goes away hungry.

Have a great night

Well, since no one gave me any suggestions for supper, here's what I came up with:

Sloppy Joes on hamburger buns, w/your choice of sweet pickle slices or dill pickle slices, your choice of fries or potato chips, and cole slaw or tossed salad;  also tonight, you can have burgers, or cheeseburgers with the same sides choices.

And for dessert, I've just taken the last cookie sheet of sugar cookies out of the oven.

Everyone have a good evening, stay warm, and take care.  Right now, we're not getting any precip, but there's some nasty rain/sleet coming in from the south/southwest, moving up this way.

I just looked "Dalmatian" up, and learned that no other breed has such markings, and that if the spots are any color other than liver or black it is not purebred

Johnny

While the markings are probably different, harlequin Great Danes certainly look a lot like an oversized Dal.

Good morning to all. The temperature was reported to be about nine at 6:45 this morning; by the time I went out at 9:15, it was up to eighteen, and should get up into the twenties. More snow is expected tonight; it is merely overcast this morning.

We have been sitting a dalbrador (or is she a labmatian?) since Christmas Day for a daughter and her daughter who have gone to England, Scotland, and Paris (back late tomorrow night). She is a lovely dog, with black spots and splotches, who is quite affectionate. She is not a lap dog (we had, for nine years, an eighty-ninety pound yellow lab mix who enjoyed my lap), but she enjoys being petted and scratched. We definitely have not invited her up on our bed, but sleeps either on her bed or by my side of our bed--I made the mistake of inviting an earlier dog (half black lab, half golden retriever, and solid black) up once when Ricki (my wife) was away, and she (the dog) assumed that our bed was the place for her to sleep thereafter.

I just looked "Dalmatian" up, and learned that no other breed has such markings, and that if the spots are any color other than liver or black it is not purebred

Lay down on the couch with a throw over you and you instantly have three warm bodies burrowing in.

....I remember of laying on the couch or back in a lounge chair and our's would have to be right there somewhere snuggled, probably with her nose pushed inside my shirt by the buttons....Most lovable.  They knew they belonged.

Larry, I have an uncle in Tennessee, who used to have a dalmation when all of us kids were growing up.  My brother (twin) chased it under a car one time while we were visiting, and got his shoulder torn up, crawling under the car to get to the dog.   Needless to say, he had to take a trip to the hospital while we were there, to get it sewed up!

Lunch today is leftovers from last night's Sunday Dinner:  turkey, dressing, green beans, and I've made some potato salad and pistachio salad.  (Isn't that also called 'Watergate salad', or am I thinking of another salad?)

Sarah's on "Standby" at the firehouse today, and Mutt's gone to the library and hardware store (have several projects to be done, and ran out of drywall screws).  And in about an hour and a half, I'll be going to the Pharmacy to pick up my meds for the month.  So, looks like a busy day around here.

What would you all like to see on the supper/dinner menu tonight?  I will try my best to comply with your all's suggestions!  Just let me know.

The three mini doxies.....We know how they operate.  Had 2 of them for a period of 33 years....one after the other. They were definitely part of the family....and they seemed to know all about it.  Great lovable pets.
They had 4, but the female didn't deal with the arrival of the baby well (she got terribly depressed) and moved next door, where she has a loving home.  It's a ball being around the other three.  Lay down on the couch with a throw over you and you instantly have three warm bodies burrowing in.  The oldest dog hasn't been as accepting of the baby as my son would like (but is very far from openly hostile), but the other two don't seem to mind at all.  We'll see what happens when she gets more mobile (which will be very soon).

All the happenings {fires, etc...}, around your area sounds very sad Larry.....Winter does bring out such tragedies.  The one thing in your message is not sad and kinda funny....The three mini doxies.....We know how they operate.  Had 2 of them for a period of 33 years....one after the other. They were definitely part of the family....and they seemed to know all about it.  Great lovable pets.

Weather here in central Indiana this morning;  Bright sunshine and about 25 degrees and slowly rising.  Dry.

Sounds like my son's three pups (all males - mini-doxies) - no toy is important until one of the other dogs has it, in which case everyone wants it (even if there are two other identical toys laying there...)

Last night's ice delayed a few schools, but not work, so I actually had to get up and come to work.   Gonna be a short week, though.   Mom's here through Wednesday, so I'm taking the afternoons off, and will be taking her to the airport on Wednesday.  Friday is my "regular day off", so I get a nice, peaceful three day weekend!  Hooray!

Bad weekend for fires here.  Early this morning a bowling alley in a town southeast of here burned down.  The sad news was that eight people (including four kids) died in a fire in a rural house due south of here early Sunday morning.  The fire was well advanced by the time the fire department arrived.

Time for a fire safety message.  There were no smoke detectors in the home.  Most of the victims were on the second floor.  One person, who had been sleeping on the first floor, escaped.

Good morning and thanks for breakfast. 55 degrees and pea soup fog in Carolina, on the way to 72 and more rain. Our girls, Heidi and Laci have toys everywhere and it is like negotiating a mine field getting around this place. Usually, they ignore them until one or the other takes an interest in one and then the fight starts. Laci is an alpha and demands to be in charge, while Heidi totally ignores her. Such language you never did hear, along with threats. Oh well, ya gotta love'm. Everybody stay safe and warm. Cheers
