Quentin:  I have my oldest to newest.  That way if I go into the diner for instance, I pick the page from the forum llist, then when the diner opens, it will have the pages oldest and I can read and scroll down to the newest one.  But I have to pick the latest page, first.

Help you at all?

.....Well Jen.....If I open up the diner thread and have "newest to oldest" structure....then I find as the first post, the latest.  So I don't need to forage back to find where I want to be.....and can just scroll down to see the most recent posts of the day.

I understand each of us no doubt has his / her preference, just what works the best.

I went to the profile page and found where one supossedly can set it the way one may like to have it, but it still seems to default to "oldest" first....

Changes...ugh.....

Different subject:  Went to vote today and we even had to stand in line at the City / County Building.....Wonder what it will be like on election day....!

.....Mid 40's now and bright sunshine and we're to see temps about 70 degrees this afternoon.

Note in recent post of gas prices:  Filled my truck last evening for $2.66 / gal. and noted that at only 2 stations.  Others at:  $2.79 and $2.81....Unusual to have several that far apart in price.....So I took advantage of it.

Still lots of {what appears to be grain}, passing thru on the Frankfort line here east bound....Again, think it heads southeast to export.

Edit:  Anyone have any ideas how to keep "sort posts" constant....Example:   "newest to oldest" ......"oldest to newest", etc....My choices seem to revert back to "oldest to newest" on their own.......

Good Monday morning, everyone.  We've got a temp of 45 degrees this morning, going for a high of 70 this afternoon.  Winds will be changing, and coming from the west, so we'll warm up nicely this afternoon.

Coffee, juices, hot chocolate, hot water for tea and hot cider are all ready.

On the breakfast/warmer bar this morning:  turkey bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, hash browns, bagels, bear claws and cinnamon rolls.

You all have a great morning, and if anyone has any requests for lunch/supper menu, please let  me know.  Otherwise, it'll be leftovers from Sunday Dinner.

Thanks Randy. Sure wish I could find a car that would burn something cheaper too. Can you make ethanol out of cat hair? The good news is that the kid who hit me was taken away by the troopers, the bad news is that his insurance is AIG!! ARRRRRGHH!!

Hi LC:

Speaking as one who has and continues to deal (in a limited way these days) with casualty underwriters, it is very unlikely that you will have problems with AIG's service or claims. It is not the property and casualty units that are the target of our dear uncle.

The important thing is that you are are not severely injured and that we heard from you again.

Seems that you and me almost always get to talk in the forum after  wreaks in one form or another. But as I asked you at our other wreak site: How are you holding up?

MC, CW, Tree and all, thanks for the kind wishes. It all happened about 9 miles from home. I've got a bit of a sore rib cage and some assorted bruises left over. My old police academy driver's training was helpful in that I was able to maintain control to the extent that what would have been a dead center head on turned into a modified sideswipe after which I went off the narrow two lane highway, struck an embankment, boulder and a decent sized maple tree before rolling into the ditch driver's side down. I was able to climb out by standing on the steering column and opening the passenger's door with some help from passers by.

Luckily, as the airbags (all 6) in my Toyota functioned correctly and my seatbelt as well. Most of those who witnessed the crash were amazed that I and the folks in the little Dodge Neon that hit me all walked away. The Dodge crossed the other lane, a miracle it didn't hit either of the cars it was passing and left the road hitting two trees smouldering into flames. With all the police cars, fire engines, ambulance and having the highway closed for two hours it was quite an event.

Larry, is that 25 miles for up in your area?  I don't think I've ever heard it listed that far in our  area; but, I could be wrong.  (Probably am wrong.)

LC, glad you are all right!  Don't know anything about AIG, but I'll take your word about them.  I have heard that most accidents happen within five miles from home.

Have managed to get out today and take about three walks.  Guess I put in a total of walking about 5 blocks.

Believe our high managed to make it to about 63, 64 degrees today.  Supposed to get down to 43 by morning.  Guess tomorrow, we need to vacuum the floor furnace, and turn the thermostat up for it.

They say most accidents occur within 25 miles from home, which is why I'm thinking about moving 75 miles from here (I'll be three times as safe!).  Smile,Wink, & Grin

I might downsize the P/U when I replace it eventually, but it'll still be a truck.

Glad you ended up all right, LC.

Mr. Clear:  Glad you are ok!  Just to cheer you up a bit, AIG is advertising their insurance here like there is no tomorrow.  Um....maybe they are right.  Maybe using up their leftover ad $$$?

Slept in a bit late today. Clear and beautiful here, in the 50s now. Status post head-on crash of three weeks ago. Luckily managed to walk away with only minor injuries. Other guy passing two cars on a double yellow when I came over the rise in his face. Very lucky that everybody managed to walk away under their own power. Despite gas prices I have replaced my SUV with another...

Well, our temp has climbed to the upper 50s (might be about 60 now), after I came back from a walk about an hour ago.  Breeze isn't too bad, so feels pretty nice out.

Here is our Sunday Dinner menu:

1.  Mutt's spaghetti casserole w/garden salad and Italian bread

2.  Beef stew w/cornbread (cornbread is sweetened a little, and baked in the oven), garden salad

3.  Country fried steak, mashed taters, gravy, homemade buttermilk biscuits, lima beans or you can have green beans, garden salad

Today's Desserts:

chocolate cake, coconut cream pie, lemon meringue  pie, and blueberry cobbler

Morning glory, how's yall? 46 degrees and clear in Carolina this lovely morning, We finally broke down and turned on the heat. I am quite proud that we waited this long, even though we would have been justified several weeks ago. CW, thanks for the Pancakes and maple syrup... Could you find some sugar free syrup for next time? Thanks. Everybody stay warm and safe

Tom....I can be added to that list too.  Of course, some changes are easier to accept than others just like some changes provide a benefit and some are questionable.

....Our start is 40 degrees and a bright sunny clear sky.  Looks like a beautiful day for us.

See a very light frost on the yard....Seems like an unusual combination:  Mowing one day and frost the next morning.  But as long as it's growing, we'll be on it.

Church activity next.   Later, Nascar.  {With lunch in between someplace}.

Good Sunday morning, everyone.  Nice cool start here:  43 degrees here, going for a high around 73, I believe, I heard.  We even have a frost advisory for tonight, tomorrow morning, when we dip down to the mid 30s overnight.

The coffee is just about finished brewing, and fresh oj, oj-tangerine, pineapple, apple, and grape juice are ready.  We also have hot chocolate, hot tea and hot cider this morning.

On the warmer bar this morning:  a good ole country breakfast of:

Country-fried ham w/redeye gravy, turkey bacon, pork sausage patties, homemade buttermilk biscuits w/sausage gravy, fried taters, scrambled eggs or fried eggs, whichever you want, pancakes w/maple syrup, homemade blueberry muffins, bagels, and bear claws.

You all have a great morning, enjoy your breakfast, and take care.

I gotta admit, it is hard to get adjusted to the new format. I have noticed that stretching on some posts and not others, so go figure. I am using I E 6. Don't like 7 so uninstalled it and went back to 6. I am a creature of habit and don't accept changes very well until I get used to them. TTFN

Brian, Dale, Quentin, et al:  I had to take off 8 also.  It was screwing up my other programs.

Have it back to 7 and works much better.

Could be your browser, Quentin- Dale (Nanaimo57) has e-mailed me indicating that he had worse problems on the forum with Internet Explorer Version 8, and had to go back to Version 7, which still has problems, but not near as bad.

Speaking of Dale, not sure if you guys know it, but alot of his research posts over on the Trackside Guides forum got chopped off.  I explained the problem to Bergie, who at first didn't realize what was wrong- he understands it now, and will have his IT guys looking into it next week.
