Workin' my little finners to the bone - I am just buried here at work - and they pulled the plug on the system.  I can only do the web.  Can't e, can't work, can't feel too bad.....

Not a good time for this to happen.  I will never get caught up at this rate.  Tree - want to come help out?  Our IT is busy trying to find out who tripped over the plug!  Going home in 45 min - I am going to try to de-stress before I do.

Another cold front went through here - 80 yesterday 48 today.  I have 3 different bed scenerios - winter gown, winter sheets, 2 blankets.  Winter gown, winter sheets, 1 blanket.  Summer gown, winter sheets - no covers.  Guess a 4th could be - stay up and sleep fully clothed in chair with tv on.....

Going to go hit myself in the head with a hammer - at least I will be doing something constructive!

I'm still dealing with the fallout of someone who must have been bored and cut a bunch of fiber optic cables (disconnecting several key users) in a building they were temporarily occupying.  It was clearly an act of vandalism - they had no reason to touch the cable.  When their boss figures out who it was, they are in big trouble.

The grill-out food is on the warmer bar:  burgers, brats, hot dogs, baked beans, and baked taters.  Cole slaw is in the cooler.

If Mookie hit herself in the head w/said hammer, bet her head is pounding as much as mine is, and I haven't hit my head with anyone, nor has anyone hit me in the head!  I'm just guessing that it is allergy related, as eyes have been itching and burning all afternoon, and sneezing "to hoolay the rail", as that old saying goes.    BTW, does anyone actually know what that old saying means?!?!?  I've heard it all my life, and don't really know what is means.Confused [%-)]

I came home tired and cranky with a small dent in my head....

Took a nap for about 45 min - dreamed the whole time that I needed to go home and take a nap.  I think some time in the old hammock is required!

Good Tuesday morning, to one and all!  Looks like it's going to be a gorgeous day today!  May have to spend some time this afternoon outside.  Supposed to reach a high in the upper 70s, might even hit 80 degrees today.

Mookie, hope you have a better day today at work!  Here's your coffee mug, and I've got plenty of coffee to go in it this morning!

On the breakfast bar this morning:  sausage, scrambled eggs, bagels, muffins, homemade buttermilk biscuits, sausage gravy, turkey bacon, pancakes & syrup, fresh pineapple slices, and the water is heating for anyone who wants hot tea.

Wonder how many will show up today for Produce Tuesday.  Last week, we had 69 people; with it being warmer this morning, wonder if I have close to 80 people.  Warmer weather in the springtime, seems to bring out more  people, than other times.  (And I hope they bring something other than potatoes and cabbage.  I'm sick of seeing cabbage every week, as are several other people!)

Everyone have a great morning, and I'll see you after I get back.

Good morning.

We have 38 degrees here in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and it is shaping up to be a pretty nice day. It's supposed to warm up to about 67 this afternoon. Yesterday it was cold and windy here.......terribly windy and it had been threatening to rain here as well.

My day this morning has been somewhat dampened by the passing of a dear lady who was a member of my own church, Ethel McClain. She was an elementary school teacher, and while I never had her as a teacher, I always regarded her as something of a saint, and now she has made that final journey Home!

I've noted that Joe likes to drink from a BNSF mug. I don't have a BNSF coffee cup or mug, but I am drinking Snickerdoodle (chocolate flavored) coffee from a CB&Q mug which features a CB&Q F unit, #163A on the front of it. I've always had a soft spot in my heart for the Burlington Route.

Well, night three at the PBS auction went well (night two for me), although working at work, then being at the TV station until midnight makes for a long day - I'm pooped.

One of the staffers asked me if I was still interested in an item I bid on at their antique auction this spring, as the high bidder hadn't taken it.  I was, and now have in my hands a genuine 1903 New York Central timetable for the Rome, Watertown & Ogdensburg Division.  Neat stuff!

Bearclaw, tea, and a quiet place to lay my head...

Larry, I don't work anywhere, but mind if I join you at your booth, and lay my head down, and take a nap?  After Produce this morning,  I am tired and worn out!!  We had 91 people show up this morning:  25 were there at 7:55, when I got up there!!  We had plenty of potatoes, small heads of cabbage, onions, everybody got 2 oranges and 2 lemons apiece, and the first 5 people got a large bag of salad mix.

For lunch, I've fixed some tuna salad sandwiches and put chips and pickles out on the counter, and some other cold cuts for for sandwiches.  Later on this afternoon, I'll start preparing for our Tuesday Mexican Fiesta for tonight.

CW, thanks, but I can't handle tuna salad. Ham salad or deviled ham is OK, tho. Yesterday's visit to the new quack went well, he is a real nice guy. The rest of the day, tho, was a total fiasco, that hopefully won't be repeated for a lonnnnnnng time, if ever. I had to get my pastor to haul me around, cuz the wife is under the weather. He is a really funny person to be around, so it wasn't bad at all. Thunderstorms predicted, currently 66 and cloudy. Take care

Joe, speaking of fans:  just cleaned two of our window fans this afternoon, and they're in the windows.  Got a couple of containers ready for you, for work tonight.

Tonight's MEXICAN FIESTA menu:

tacos, beef & bean burritos, beef burritos enchilada style, tamales, Spanish rice, quasadillas, guacamolie (sp?) dip, salsa, and con queso dip, and, of course, the tortilla chips to go with the dips.

Also have some fresh fruit , and the desserts tonight:  chocolate cake, rice pudding, and chocolate wheat fudge (left out the peanut butter in the wheat fudge, just in case anyone doesn't like peanut butter or is allergic to anything w/peanuts in it).

Tom, sorry about the tuna salad at lunch.  I usually have ham in the fridge for ham salad or ham sandwiches.  Hope you found some in the fridge.

Ray - you are so sweet to think of me!  I come from a long line of CBQ people.  Grandfather and father both CBQ engineers.

Why don't you pm or e-mail me with the details? I would appreciate it!

Joe - I need the fan - and have been using one in the mornings.  My little cubby gets pretty warm since air circulation is shut down at nite and I am in there at 5:30 am - well before it starts back up at 7.

Did everyone see The Chicken was getting loaded!  Who would have thunk it?  Evil [}:)]

CW - I will take the tuna, sans can.  Thank you!

I think I will pass on the Fiesta menu, heartburn city.  I might take a cup of that coffee, got my very favorite Chattanooga Choo Choo cup.  You know what I like about this place.  Nice folks and good food.  Some of these other forums have some real jerks in them.  No place for that kind of thing.  Think I might stay a while, I might learn something.

Good Wednesday morning to one and all.  Feel like I'm sleepwalking this morning:  can't seem to get my eyes to totally wake up.  Need coffee FAST.  Oh well, at least I'm working on my first cup of the morning.  Hope it starts kicking in soon!

On the breakfast bar this morning:  oatmeal, toast, scrambled eggs, muffins, bear claws, and pancakes w/syrup.

You all have a good morning, enjoy your breakfast, and I'm taking my coffee, and a bear claw, and going out to the garden.  Anyone wants to join me, you're more than welcome!!
