Please send some of that sun south!!!! It's still in the low 60s here, but it looks

like it could start storming any minute.

(we are Supposed to be partly sunny, with little, or no chance of rain today.)

Dan, you need to get one of the "older" seats for the Bike, rather than one of

the "New" ones; it's easier to wrap a pillow, or cushion around those older seats!!

Morning all.  Glad to see that you are feeling better Mook.  Keep those whiskers up!

Stopped by the bike shop the other day.  Got a new seat but the package must've been tampered with.  This 'comfort' seat was replaced by a replica of an axe-head.  Didn't feel that good this morning!  Getting new tires and possibly some faster gears.  Should make the commute that much faster and more fun!

Gotta run...

Mookie, housekeeping, doing laundry and washing dishes are not my favorite tasks, but I would come down to your house if I could and cook dinner for you, or maybe fill your home with the aroma of freshly baked bread. Chef [C=:-)]

thanx Joe - I like to sit and fold - now we need someone to volunteer to change the bed, do the actual laundry - down in the basement - dust the furniture and vacuum.  This is going to require a nice long nap - probably before and after!

.....Our start here is a 50.5 degrees with overcast skies but it's to be dry today....Hope so as it must be a mowing day.  We're to get to around 70 later today.  Will head out to breakfast late this morning as we have family here from Florida to spend a few months in their little house they purchased last season for that very reason.

Look for the the sunshine today Jen.....

Morning, Mookie!  Here's your coffee, and how about a couple of bagels?  Got the rockers situated for us, so we can talk, eat breakfast, drink our coffee, and talk about whatever (trains, of course, but other stuff too!)

Good Friday morning, everyone.  The rain has left Louisville.  Kind of foggy this morning, and the temp is a cool 51 degrees.  Sun is to come out sometime later this morning, and looking for a high of 62.

Coffee is ready, there's plenty of hot water for hot tea, and there's fresh juices this morning

Our regular Friday morning Doughnuts, danishes, bagels and bear claws are on the counter, so everyone go ahead and enjoy.

Mookie, got your coffee mug down, and ready to fill it up, when you get in!!

Mook,

I just stopped into the diner and heard the bad news. You certainly have my thoughts and prayers on your side. Best wishes in finding something new.

Jen,

I too, have been through the experience of having lost a job, and it's happened to me more than once. And I as well, have been through a wide range of emotions over having lost a job. But hang in there, kid. If your trust is in God, He will place you where he wants you. All of us are standing behind you, we support you!

I will keep you in my prayers, and I will bet you anything that God your Heavenly Father has plans for you and your future. Angel [angel]

My mother is still dealing with the fact that, at 82, she is now fully retired.  It comes as the result of her injury last Thanksgiving and her employer was kind enough to let her retire as opposed to just "letting her go."  They had really gone out of their way to keep a productive employee, moving her around into work she could handle.

Every end is the chance for a new beginning.  Their loss will be someone else's gain.

We're with you all the way!

I am so sorry, Jen. I know how you feel. I got riffed once. We had a special project that turned out very well. Management was very happy and called a meeting to tell us so. According to the vice president, we were the best the company had, each of us was special etc and they were proud to have us as employees. Next day we got the pink slip. I survived that and you will survive this too. Like the old saying THIS TOO WILL PASS. Love ya

The first question they asked me and my box of tissues was whether I had a strong support group.  I nodded yes, so they let me go pack my office.  I couldn't tell them just how good the group is.....

It will all work out for the best.

Thank you all for your good thoughts.

Larry, it's cloudy and gloomy, here as well.  Rain to be back in sometime this afternoon.

Since it's such a day, I've got two things simmering on the stove for today:

1.  Beef Stew and

2.  Vegetable beef soup.

Going ahead and making up the cornbread, but won't be putting it in the oven, for about another half hour.
