Conrail never had a SD90MAC only UP and CP and leasing company. The highest they had was a SD80MAC before they folded.

I thought NS did because of conrail & NS has most of conrail engines. They do have SD80. I thought that NS has SD90MACK engines from conrail split.

Today a Tucson-Phoenix lumber train with a new GEVO on the point of a 3-unit consist (the horns really do sound like "BLAT", I like them, they're pleasantly different from the garden K3LA), an AC4400CW in the middle, and an 85xx SD90MACH on the end (sounds like a GE). The last "car" on the train was in fact an 8000 class SD9043MAC.

This is the first time I've seen one of the big EMDs (the MACH).

Sitting in Estill Springs TN two weeks ago I saw a Santa Fe U-boat in its original war bonnet red and silver paint scheme, and not looking to worse for wear! Couldn't make out the model, as it was switching with two other old Chessie units into our local feedmill, but it was sure odd to see that locomotive that looked just like an old Tyco HO model I had back in the late 60's, and switching here in South Central Tennessee.

Today at 750 this morning I saw and I am not kidding ATSF 562 a B-40-8W in full red and sliver warbonnet as the sole power on a pig train of around 20 cars doing track speed and looking great doing it.
Always at war with those that think OTR trucking is EASY.
