Sarurday afternoon on the way to work I saw a large UP truck leaving the area of the old Rock Island industrial spur near 6th street. Then I also saw a HiRail pickup driving real slow and the driver was standing on the runing boards inspecting the track as he went. They must have taken an "off day" and used it to repair some areas of the spur.

Sunday on the way to work I saw a Rio Grande engine. I was not able to get the number as it was setting too close to the overpass I was traveling over. The engine in front of the Rio Grande was a light blue with a few white stripes, then the normal UP yellow was the lead engine.

Thursday about 12:30 am I saw UP 656 being used as the pusher on a loaded coal train.

I was on the way home and saw it and thought I might could catch up to the lead units and report there numbers too. But first things first, I was on the way home from work and Duchess needed to be walked which after being at work all night had to be the number one (pun) priority. [:D]

So after she accomplished what needed to be accomplished off we went. But the train was already through the wye and gone. However there had been 2 UP pickups which were leaving the area of the wye. So they must have attended to some need for the train or train crew.

Today, between job sites, I stopped down on the west end of the Muskego Yard, on Greves and Canal Streets. SOO GP38-2 4420 was shoving a cut of cars eastward, and behind the train was... 4419! I was very happy to get better pictures of both of these engines.

In Syracuse, next to Carousel Mall, two beat up gons - one recently relettered for NYC, the other in well-worn NW regalia. Sorry, no numbers...

Tonight (actually this morning) at 12:10 a.m., I saw the Texas Eagle leaving North Little Rock heading north to St. Louis and Chicago. [:)]

I have seen trains but not close enough to get their engine number. Today while on the way to work I saw a CSX unit coupled to a UP unit. Since I was driving I didn't have much time to look and have forgotten the number. Actually I am not sure what the number was even, but the unit was an EMD.

This morning I spotted a EDGX coal train at Drexel Avenue in Oak Creek, WI, and chased it to West Allis, WI. Led by a UP AC4400CW and followed by a UP SD9043MAC. Took pics, but don't have camera nearby.

On the way home, spotted UP x-SP GP38-2 571(?) and UP 1209 (GP39-2?) headed into Mitchell Yard. Both had "Remote Control" stickers on 'em.

Today while driving around downtown North Little Rock I saw the new Trolley. It is not yet in service but they were filming a commerical (it looked that way to me anyway). There were tons of city officials hanging around it. It will run through the downtown areas of Little Rock and N L R. I will get a pic of it and post it one of these days. I don't think it starts regular service until about November.

And on another note. Today I saw 2 Nascar trailors, one for the Tide car, and the other one was for the #60 car (I think).

I see trains most every day on the way to work.

Today I saw another Conrail engine lashed to a UP engine. The other day I saw a Rio Grande engine. Lots of trains running here but I have not had the time to railfan. I think that is about to change though.

Think this maybe a transfer to CP Pitt Meadows intermodal yard -- have seen several CP short intermodals over the last few months and they are called over the radio as " CP 5963 North " or similar and go CN to Mission then CP to Pitt Meadows .

The past few weeks I have seen a BNSF local train powered by a GP60 and a 8-40BW, both in ATSF paint but with BNSF numbers.

On Sunday, the girlfriend and I were on our way out, in her car, and we went down Waterford Avenue in Milwaukee. As we approached the crossing, the lights/bells/gates activated, and a train came thru southbound. I wished I had my camera with me, since the third unit on the train was SOO 4511 -- an ex-MILW GP38-2 -- and I don't yet have a picture of it for my SOO GP38-2 page. [:(]

Well, better luck next time!

Went railfanning last night over in the Dells on the CP main.

5:37 Unknown number, it came right as we got there, but was auto rack train

5:47 Amtrack empire builder right on schedual units 173 and 73 leading

6:05 BNSF run to Porage WI with the coal for the power plant there. Had an Santa fe unit in origional warbonett paint leading. I have the numbers written down some where, but I think there in my dad's car at his work.

6:45 Another non descript CP train came through, intermodual, again, have the numbers in the car.

Well I finally got to see a train. [;)] [:D] [;)]

Today about 2 in the afternoon I saw:

UP 3753
UP 3182
UP 1508
UP2818
3121 CEFX
UP 2213

Now get this, it was a really mixed up train. [:0]

Right after the engines were two loaded coal cars, then other railroad cars (not coal cars) then another coal car, then a mixed train of everything else. That was a strange train to see. [:p]

Probably those coal cars were headed to a customer that only needs a few carloads a week. Or perhaps they got set out of a unit train for repair and were headed to their original destination.
