A year ago it seemed like diesel was cheaper than unleaded, now it appears diesel fuel is more expensive, but you'll still be ahead due to the increased gas mileage.....

Not that many years ago I filled my car for $4.00and spent another $2.00 and got a complete wash. I made less than $2.00 an hour
Today it just cost me $52.00 for the fill up and $16.00 for the wash. Today I am retired on Social Security so probably make less than $2.00 per hour. Where is the justice.

....Over the years we've had many treatments....Ion control, atomizers, mini turbo wheels, fish carbnuretors, items to fasten to gas line to take out...??, etc....Don't know anything about the product here under discussion but in the past it's been somewhat like a cottage industry to produce the miracle product to produce outrages fuel economy figures...I'd say use a grain of salt......[;)]

98 cents per liter is just a little less than $3 US per US gallon. (98 cents * 3.78 (number of litres per US gallon) *.8 (current exchange rate)) Here we are paying about $2.50 per gallon.

Well nothing good to report on gasoline local paper this AM reported the summer season will be upon us within weeks and gasoline shall continue to rise anywhere from twenty to forty cents per gallon for the summer anyway. Is it just greed or maybe I should invest in Oil shares as well to protect my retirement before it all goes i9n the gas tank.

I would like to see the gas prices encourage AmTrak to TRIPLE it's number of trains. As it is, AmTrak is crowded, chronically late and way too expensive. Recently I tried to get ANY kind of compartment a month before my trip and found everything booked up.

placebo effect + anecdotal evidence + no dyamonoter test + no statistical analysis =

SNAKE OIL!

It's an old, old story that pops up every time the price of oil spikes.

Anyone care for a little "Slick 50"?

All cars sold in the USA should be Hybrids. This research money that Bush or Congress wants to spent is pure pork-barrel. The technology is already here in the form of batteries and hybrids.

My diesel can squeeze out 20mpg on the highway (weighs 4tons), will burn alternitative fuels with no mods, and most of the Ford Excursions that get so much bad press have the same engine. I already experiment with waste cooking oil to reduce my dependance on crude. As soon as biodiesel made by AMERICAN FARMERS is available round here, I'll pay 10.00bucks a gallon to support that.

One other thing I dont get is the constant reference to the H2. IT"S NO FREAKIN DIFFERENT THAN A TAHOE. Don't see anyone talkin bout corvettes either, seems to get even worse milage. Thats ok, I don't really care what others think anymore.

I wondered when someone would mention biodiesel and alternative fuels . . .

I spent an entire high school senior year doing a project on biodiesel . . .

I just wonder why some people in their big vehicles won't use ethanol or biodiesel

The [censored][censored][censored] people don't know what's good for them until

it's gone and too expensive . . .

For the majority of the [censored] gas powered public to understand the

efficiency of a diesel vehicle, they need education on alternative fuels such as

biodiesel, ethanol and hybrid technology . . .

I've posted this before, on another thread here, but I think it bears repeating:
(gas price - $ per gallon in 2003)

Hong Kong 5.34
London, England 4.55
Paris, France 4.41
Amsterdam, Netherlands 4.38
Seoul, S. Korea 4.35
Copenhagen, Denmark 4.24
Tokyo, Japan 4.20
Milan, Italy 4.14
Oslo, Norway 4.13
Frankfurt, Germany 4.00

For those of you who think it's bad here in the U.S. I read these prices, and I think the we in the U.S. have little to complain about.

I hope you didn't part with too much of your hard earned cash for that ponzi-like marketing scheme.

Gasoline prices dropping says the evening news but how come when it goes up it is always in .10 cent increments. And when it comes down its only .01 cent at a time?
