1. UP  SD90 MacH2 in HO  with prototypical sound.

2. A good working Civil War era 4-4-0, I'll paint/ decal as needed.

First, a Thank You to Bachmann for finally coming out with the 4-6-0 in N scale. I've been wanting one for many years. Just need to wrangle up some $$$ for one.

I would like to see someone produce an affordable, finely detailed, sound equiped U.P. Gas Turbine. DCC/DC-compatible decoder (in N scale).

Also (in N scale) one of the Mother Hubbard locomotives would be very cool.

Other than that, The General (in HO scale) with DCC & sound.

Cheers! Rob

and one more - I'd love to see a quality HO version of the Lehigh Valley Streamliner. I had a nice chat with the good folks at Fox Valley the other day & they were most intrigued by the idea; keep your fingers crossed!

I've got the Bullet-Nosed Betty 6060, HO, in the CN livery; it was produced by Mehano for the President's Choice supermarkets in the 1990's, I believe; got it off EEbay for a song...

Im sure this has been mentioned a zillion times, but I would like to see well detailed, DCC with sound small steam engines. Size wise, Prairies on down.  Id also like someone to come out with a zoo train, you know the kinda train you ride around at the zoo in.  A small steam loco with a string of open sided excursion cars. Thats about it.

Come on CMW, make a '41-'46 Chevy school bus!

Id like to see Athearn come out with an HO Genesis series ES44AC particularly in some of UP's latest road #'s.

New Haven FL-9 in HO for diesel (used by NH, Conrail, PC, Amtrak)

Pennsylvania E-44 in HO for electric (also used by PRR, Conrail, PC Amtrak)

Steam, FORGET IT, DON'T RUN IT, too much like the F-7a, too many of them around anyway

Here's a short list:

A C&O/N&W 0-8-0, both the C&O and N&W versions. I like the idea of BLI's brass hybrid personally.

N&W 4-8-0 M, especially if one to use to model #475, the only N&W steam locomotive still operating.

N&W as delivered RS3s and RS11s

I'd sure love the Jawn Henry too!

There have been a couple of HO models of the general in plastic, and a sad attempt

at the Texas in HO.  The General models all had the incorrect pilot and the Texas

model was made of Zamac that desinigrated into powder after a short time.

I too would like to see accurate models of both of these two historical steam

locomotives.

The Western & Atlantic pilots were distinctive in the horizontal timbers verses

the vertical orientation of the bracing that most RRs used.

I am waiting on the HO Precision Craft Great Northern S-2 4-8-4 with sound and DDC. I have this one on order and I hope they get enough orders to go with it. Others I'd like to see is an R-2 2-8-8-2 , N3, L6, and other articulated steam. Of course you can get these in brass if you have the were for all but my wallet can't handle those numbers so I like the price range of the Precision Craft products. I have their F-3 ABA diesels and they are sweet. I have the Athearn Gensis Clinchfield Challenger and that is one sweet runner. I like the Bachmann Steam and have three or four of them which I bought prior to them adding sound to the same group of locomotives. These are fine looking peaces and run very well. For diesel I'd love to see an Alco SP&S 636. I kitbashed one from a 630 a few years ago but todays manufacturers could make this thing a beauty. This is a great time for this Hobby?

Hello everybody,

I would certainly purchase a couple of  MLW build M-630 in CP colours in the pac man paint scheme.  Also a DM&IR Yellowstone would also certainly be an engine I would purchase.  Yes the steam engine might not be a CP engine but in my opinion they were the top dogs in the days of steam.

Admittedly I am not really very knowledgable on DCC but as I understand things your proposal has some merit in a DCC-environment; the locomotive motor should be able to be programmed to one speed package and a tender mounted motor should be able to be programmed to another.

I would like to see in HO some of the locomotives that rr's are using for switching now like green goats, gensets, and RC gensets like BNSF has.

Talk about 'Resurrected from the Dead' . . . . . . . . . .

Trains and Locomotives on RFD-TV recently featured UP railroading and it caused me to give some thought to shortline modeling and the use of 'odd-ball' locomotives - 'odd-ball' in the sense of locomotives that are extremely rare in the modern railroading environment.  That definition certainly applies to Baldwins and, increasingly, is becoming applicable to Alcos.

I would like to see the N Scale manufacturers offer more Baldwin products specifically switchers and road switchers; Baldwin, like Lima and, eventually, ALCO, got innundated in the EMD flood but there was a time in the late-'40s and early-'50s when it looked like Baldwin was going to be able to stay in the game.  The company produced nearly 900 DS-4-4-10s and S-12s and those are not insignificant production numbers; there are other models - both B-Bs and C-Cs - which could be cited whose production numbers are also not insignificant.

On the same note there is a great need for N Scale Alco switchers.

It's already been said, but I will add my vote for an updated EMD SW-1 in HO scale. They are no longer in stock anywhere and rarely on E-Bay.

In the "I am dreaming" end of my wish list, anything by Vulcan locomotive works (American not the British one).

I see lots and lots of requests for N-scale locomotives.  So why aren't more begin produced?   Do N-scalers not have the marketing numbers to justify the pelethora of locomotives they desire?   Are N-scalers not as prone to buying everything there is like the HO people?

N Scale with traction tires:

Yellowstone in die cast or plastic (the brass DMIR is very nice but at $1000.00 out of most peoples reach) in SP or DMIR.  Oh by the way about 100 ore cars to go with it!

N&W class Y6, geared for low speed running

N&W class A, geared for fast freight

Any Cab forward, because they are cool!

Good running and pulling examples of these locomotives have not been offered in Nscale for years.  LL offered an outstanding running and looking Y3, but the pulling power was not there.  I would be looking to buy pairs (at least) of any of these models if they could pull a decent load.

Bob

For the most part, you will have to buy two to pull a good load - bring back lead and give us some weight.

I'd like to see a 2-truck Shay.  Also a 1920's-era light 2-8-2 or 2-6-0.

How about an N scale Alco switcher?  Either a DCC ready version of the Arnold S-2 or a totally new shell and power mechanism made by a different manufacturer.

I would like to see a rerelease of the Atlas B&M GP7, but not only in the blue paint, this time in the Maroon/Gold scheme.
