Well.....It's just not up to my standards I guess......The dimensionally incorrect nose, the "low rider" look of the shell in relation to the mechanism, and those oversized LED's on the top just don't do anything for me......
Dave (not trying to nitpick)
In N- Kato (or Atlas or Tower 55- if they would venture into N) ES44AC and ES44DC, possibly do what Tower 55 is doing in HO- a Classic Concept of what bygone road names might run if they were still in operation today.

Yah, but if it doesn't have front-hung 'Talking Pumps' , I'm not interested, LOL!
Actually, I'm surprised that we HAVEN'T had an M-3/4 2-8-8-4 come out yet, given all of the other big Articulateds on the market. Okay, BLI or Genesis (not Heritage, though, it woudln't pull crap), where are you?
Okay, others:
C&O H-7 2-8-8-2 (handsome devil, that one)
WP 251 2-8-8-2 (prototype for the big Missabe M-3/4)
NP Z-series 4-6-6-4 (now, that 's a BIG Challenger!)
Rio Grande C-45 2-8-0
SP MT-anything--INCREDIBLE home-built 4-8-2's.
Rio Grande L-105 (handsomest Challengers ever built, bar NONE!)
WP 330 series 2-8-2 (without a doubt, the best-looking Mikes I've ever seen)
Almost anything Great Northern steam.
Almost anything Missouri Pacific Steam.
Those cute little Santa Fe 1850 2-8-0's.
Okay, that's for starters.

I'd go for an Atlas GP39-2 or RS-3m as well.

HO BLI/Heritage style steam or Genesis/P2K style diesel
"Medium" sized steam, that would be appropriate for most folks' layouts. Mine is 15'x19' and anything larger than 2-8-2 looks WAY too big with an 8 car train. Even the 2-8-2 is borderline. How do you run a 2-10-4 or 2-6(8)-6(8)-x on a 4'x8'? There are lots of opportunities for popular 2-8-0 models, besides "generic" or "no prototype".
PRR H8/9/10 with std/lines west tender option.

Any beautiful MILW Hiawatha
If MTH would scale down nearly any of their PRR O scale models that haven't been done recently, or at all, in HO, they would have people beating down their doors, and forgetting about litigation, proprietary controls, poor choices for first entry into HO, and just about anything else.
I'd also love to see BLI offer their tenders seperately, even with the electronics. That way I could have a short tender (from a K4) for one of my M1 4-8-2 models, And a long tender for the upcoming I1.
Something different in N scale- Centipedes. MTH makes them in O gauge. Not a hugely popular loco but interesting.

My list would look quite a lot like Dave's -
PRR L1s 2-8-2
PRR E6s 4-4-2
PRR H8,H9,H10 2-8-0 (these locos are very similar - and use the same boiler as the E6 above)
In N scale... Any of the following:
PRR K4s 4-6-2
PRR I1s 2-10-0
PRR M1b 4-8-2 (I know PCM announced one 2+ years ago... true vaporware!)
PRR H10s 2-8-0 (Had to build one myself!)
PRR GG1 (Something better than the old Arnold/Rivarossi one)
PRR P5a boxcab electric
PRR E44 electric

Wasn't Tower 55 gonna give it a run, and then decided to scrap it? The only thing I can figure is that they didn't get enough advanced reservations, or production costs were going to be too high for a plastic version. I wanted one myself.

I don't mind kits if you switch around details as you desire which is why I want the MDC stuff back..as kits.
I'd very much like to have an N scale Bachmann/Spectrum made Santa Fe 4-6-0 ten wheeler... I'd also like to have an N scale Southern Pacific 4-6-2 Pacific with a Vanderbilt tender that was made by Bachmann/Spectrum as well.

I realy want to see an HO ALP 46 or Alstom PL42! bet you never heard of these! only NJT uses them lol but hey Atlas made an ALP 44 once! NJT only also.

If you mean the Mantua 4-4-2 from the 1990's, as far as I know that was only available RTR?? I bought one for my freelanced route, after a little break-in period it's run great ever since. Check ebay and local flea markets. I saw one at a flea market a couple of weeks ago.

A high quality, scale sized old time 4-4-0. Bachmann already makes a pretty good one in their standard line, but wouldn't it be nice to have a great one?
A Jawn Henry steam turbine.
Like stokesda mentioned earlier, a Krauss Maffei diesel hydraulic. If someone decides to make one, they should also do the later version with the more standard diesel body.
I could put a dozen more things on this list, but I think I'll go ahead and leave it where it is.
