Personally I would really like to see a model of the CNR U4-a (GTW U4-b) Confederations (Northern) done in plastic for HO scale. All I've ever seen are really rare Brass models that are way over my budget.
I wouldn't mind seeing a model of CPR's 4-4-4 Jubilee Locomotives, once again HO and plastic.

Soo had some similar 4-6-0s as well. Layout size engines, with metal boilers so they can pull more than 3 cars.
DM&IR 2-8-8-4s. Some club members would go for those.

MILW S3 4-8-4. Weaver made them in O scale, along with Skytop observations.

Although I do not model steam I wouldn't mind a good running and reasonably priced Big Boy ( I cannot afford brass!)

In N scale I would like to see a decent model of an Alco switcher, preferably all four variations (S-1, S-2, S-3, and S-4). The Arnold S-2 is a hunk o' junk and has been out of production for many years.
In both N and HO scale I'd like to see a model of an FM H12-44 with the simplified non-Lowey carbody. Minitrix did make one in N scale, but it's a hunk o' junk with thick waterpipe handrails. The Walthers H10-44 has the Lowey carbody and would require a lot of modification, and it's been out of production for a few years now.
Life-Like could do a 1000 HP turbocharged hood casting and produce an S-2 and S-4 in HO scale. While the Atlas versions are heavier and pull better, the body and cab detail is nicer on the Life-Like Alco switchers.
Life-Like could also offer Flexicoil truck sideframes and frame mounted handrails on their SW switchers in HO and N scale.
Atlas could offer different different carbody phases for their RS-3s in HO and N scale, including the Canadian version with rows of square filters along the side of the hood.
Atlas could also do a later version of the FM H16-44 in N scale and HO scale with the Trainmaster style carbody. Sorry, but the Bachmann versions just don't cut it.
And finally, Athearn could do a GP9 for their ready to run line. They used RailPower shells for the GP35 and SD40, and I think the Front Range shell (if the dies still exist) would be ideal because it fits the old GP7 chassis. The drive mechanism can be updated with newer Athearn components.
N Scale Trolley Bus, I'd like to see one from the 50's - 60's. Perhaps a set (likely built on the same mechanism) a Brill, 1960 version and a modern era sleek one. I know Kato did one in Japan. I see something running on radius as small as 5".
Of course it should come in HSR colours (Hamilton Street Railway), I can dream improbable dreams.
There are several models that I have been after for several years such as the GP15, GP40-2, etc. I have a new one that occured to me the other day. I would like to have a hig quality SD60M in both two and three window varities. I know that P2K made one several years ago but the fat truck spoils the entire model. I am not that mechanically inclined to bash the trucks into something more acceptable.
I did find it interesting how many steam locomotives were listed. I honestly expected a more contemporary list.
A new release of SP SD9's, SD45's, and SD40T-2's... HO, Athearn, Kato, or Atlas.

Many of us wanted the large GE 3 unit Turbine. The Turbine reservations at Tower 55 was reported to be less than 750 or so and the project was cancelled. The engineering cost would have been over $600.00 add on the model price using a small amount of 750. This is one of the reasons Brass is so expensive.
Also I'd like to see an affordable EMD E2 & E5

If this Post continues to express our wishes, we might consider collecting the list and put them in an Excel sheet for the totals. They could be sent to several manufacuters as a grass roots list form the forum. Off course this is a limited list, but probably one that is real.
There have been many other post like this in the past and they could be noted and added also.

Well.....It's just not up to my standards I guess......The dimensionally incorrect nose, the "low rider" look of the shell in relation to the mechanism, and those oversized LED's on the top just don't do anything for me......

The Walthers picture is of an older Spectrum F40. The newer ones are much, much better. I did a review a while ago if you want to see more pictures and information on the newer F40s.
