Hey, Did Philip save any pie? It looks pretty yummy.
We had a wild thunder and lightning storm here last night. There was water standing everywhere this morning. We had almost a wopping 1/2 inch. For this neck of the woods, that is plenty this time of year.
It is my bed time, so I will be off.

Anything is possible if you do not know what you are talking about.
Good morning ! from Indiana.

Good Morning, Zoe! Cup of TH please.
We're supposed to get some rain today or tomorrow. Down in the Missouri Bootheel (south of me), a few places have already got a little rain this morning. We're ready for some moisture here (even though I, unlike some of you, don't have a garden that's parched).
Ed, good to hear you didn't get drenched by Felix, and will be able to get to the orange grove soon. Think our supply of your good OJ here in the Diner had been getting a little low, so it's just in time.
On the topic of the Diner in (HO) scale, I'd been debating about using an old Model Die Casting/Roundhouse kit (Harriman passenger car) for a Diner about like this, though it'd be rather smaller than the Diner's abundant space. Now, maybe I could find another MDC Harriman kit on eBay to put with the other one, and...
Time for me to get going. Prayers for comfort, peace and healing, and rain for those of you whose areas are needing it.
Blessings on your Hump Day,
Jim in Cape Girardeau

***Jerry, hope your son didn't have any damage done from the natural gas. Had plenty of exposure to some chemicals myself over the years and they can mess you up.
***Scott, I'll send you Barbara's cell phone number, because we usually leave the land-line phone unplugged. It is very rare I leave the farm, so even if you just showed up, the chances are I'll be here. See you soon and have a safe drive down.
Power went out this morning. Nice to have it back on. Have a great day all!

It's no problem. It's like any other kit....just smaller. You use the same techniques, just smaller tools sometimes.
Finally, I've got a good clear shot of one of my SD40-2's, KCS 666.
Pc: This was taken with the Vivitar. It didn't take me long to find the macro setting.
It's looking like rain here and getting more humid by the minute.
Looks good Jeff! Better then I could do with that camera.

Jeffery this is one of my favorite pictures, from this picture, it inspired me fo use a tyco container crane (the toy one) a couple of dead loco's and make a scene where they are scrapping out old loco's even bought the Walters diesel locomotive model to add to the realism. the guys have a F-7 with the back end jack up with logs supporting the rear truck as those wheel sets are on a flat car near the location.
P.S. Check the Rails of the World Forum left you a PM there.
Evening, a barley pop Cloe please
Haven't been a round much, but to get a quick to-go cup, things kinda busy this past few days. I'm so far behind, not going to try n catch up much. But PC hope your girl's finger heals ok. I remember the sprained and broken fingers from the kids. They always seemed to hurt the same one, then want show it off..
JERRY good to hear Sally's still doing great, hope she gets home soon.
ROB,, I feel for you. We kept my grandma for a couple weeks, [the doc,s messed up her meds, which messed up her mind] till we could get her into a nursing home, and it was rough. Without the help of friends and family, we wouldn't have made it.
JEFF, sorry to hear of the trouble on the WPF, but remember you can't win an argument with a know it all idiot.
Spent part of the weekend at the campground, but the corn is so tall, railfanning from there is purrty well done till harvest. Did do some Sunday afternoon, headed west to Neoga, where the IC and NKP crossed. Now it's where the EILRR interchanges with the CN/IC.

Wasn't anything around but some cars, but did find some interesting shots
This one will give you an idea of how long the tracks been around in use
Headed to Effingham down IL-45, I got some pics from there to post laters.

I never knew he even had a daughter, and try being Z scale with a mount everest pie.
PC: sure but trying to eat a pie normal size would kill you after one bite.....But if you were G-scale that would make a great Swimming pool filled with Pie!Your Choice Pick your Fave!

OK!
Good Evening Coffee Clubbers
Nothing to report from the orange grove. We made the attempt, but the cable operated car ferry that we need to use to cross the river between us and the grove was still out of service due to the high water from all the rains we've had. The river level rises, the current gets pretty strong, and a lot of tree trunks, limbs and other debris gets carried down. They usually drop the cables and pull the float over to one side for a few days when this happens. Maybe tomorrow. We'll see if they get it back in operation.
Inch - congrats on getting another of your pictures selected in "Railfan Images of the Week" over on TrainBoard. It's the one of the Effingham yard. Anyone who wants to see that shot and the others selected this week can find them at the following link:

Duke, nice photos from the race.
Jeffrey - looks like you're enjoying your new cameras. Good luck.
Scott - enjoy the road trip and the training sessions.
Ed
please & thank you!
***Gryphon, are you going to share a photo of that scene you described (inspired by Jeffrey's old abandoned loco photo)? Sounds like a winner.
***Inch, is that 1939 track still in use?
In front of my computer now sits the recently purchased 2-8-0. It joins a few others on display, waiting for the day when they can run free. I'm half tempted to set up an oval just for a quick fix. All I have is a strait test track tucked behind some cabinet doors in the studio. Still trying to figure out how to obtain a Kato 90Mac. Bet that one would really dislike sitting out on display with nothing to do. One day!
Evening Gang: Well another day on the big loader. I got the creek crossing cleaned out, but it needs some touch up with the smaller tractors. I tried with mine but the sand is so soft that it sank to the axles. It's going to have to dry up some and then we'll have to lay down some clay and gravel. Right now I haave a splitting headach so I'm going to go to bed. I'll see you all tomorrow.
Almost forgot. I need some drawings, pictures, or other information on Colorado & Southern 2-6-0 # 22. My friend who built my locomotive is building one in 2 1/2 inch scale 7 1/2 inch gauge.
Good Night All
Any pie I icecream left? Ready for seconds. I admit, I can be a glutton when it comes to sweets.
***Paul, that 2-6-0 sounds like it will be a neat one. Hey, did you have to use the loader to remove your tractor from the deep sand? Hope you wake up without the headache.
I did some bushhogging today, mostly weeds out there right now. Our well held up today to fill two horse troughs for the back and middle pastures. Whew, every time I run water like that I just cross my fingers and toes.
