Mornin' everyone!

Oh hi Chloe!  What do you mean "you've been waiting for me"?

Of coarse I paid my credit card bill last month.

They said what?

Jeff and Hoople had you put what on my card?

What do you mean "limit exceeded"?

No, no, no, I'm good for it!

Oh, now wait a minute!

Inch had you charge what to me?

He said I wouldn't mind?  And you believed him?

Alright, alright.......what's it going to take to fix this nightmare?

I DON'T HAVE THAT MUCH!

Sure I like these guys.

What do you mean "prove it"?

Fine, I'll wash the dishes!

(Goes in back)

(Yells from out back)

That's some stack of dishes!

Yeah, I know inch was in here all night eating pie......I'm paying the bill for it!  But did ya have to give him a fresh plate every time?  Couldn't ya just refill the one he had?  Better yet, since he was just going to eat the whole thing anyways, why bother with the plate?  Just give him the pie and a fork, and let him go at it!

Oh, and if you see that Hoople or Jeff, tell them I want to "talk" to them about something........

You just never mind about what!

PC- I'll pay the 20% tax for the $4,000 bill and I'll get a larger dish washer. no pun intended

Good morning all.  Coffee please.  I got called in to work for a coworker who is ill.  So I guess another day away from your stimulating conversation.

Duke,  Warm weather here has been in the 80's, but a light drizzle this morning.  Great photos.

Good morning.

Severe drought conditions continuing here.  If it continues another few weeks, I may change my moniker to "Death Valley Scotty". Seriously. This area needs folks to pray for rain here. It's impacting the livelihoods of farmers and their employees.

Our local phone service (or lack there of) was disconnected for maybe about 14 hours or more. I hope that's not an indication of what to expect now that AT&T took over BellSouth. Just got reconnected.

Yesterday, we (Gus & I) went to see Clay's layout under construction about 40 miles from here.  Really neat L&N layout.

Duke ....... nice photos.  If you took one of B&O #50, I bet Bobk would appreciate that. When I was at the St Louis museum the MILW bi-polar electric (your picture) was coupled to B&O 50.  Of course, the neatest engine there is "Silver Charger" in my opinion. I recall seeing a UP Big Boy and Centenial diesel, a Santa Fe Texas type, and a NYC Niagra.  Also, quite a collection of passenger cars.  I'd have to dig through my photos to refresh my memory for some others.........and yes, I'll try a T. H. hot choclate.........  a T. H. donut, too but don't tell on me to Bill.

Hoople, I'm glad you like the E9.  It's a nce engine, and with Life Like's life time warrantee, you should have no problems in the future.

Colby's playing baseball and James in Oz is playing cricket.  Have fun, guys.

Philip.  Careful.  Your credit card is gonna melt. Reminds me, last year, Shelley took 5 year old grand daughter shopping and was about to make her purchase with a Master Card.  Grandaughter said: "Grandma, you can't use a credit card.  You have to use a debit card because a credit card will make you pay interest." .........  Obviously, Son and DIL are teaching the little kids about family finances at an early age. Anyhow, it makes a cute story.

Happy Model Railroading

Hey PC there are 50 stacks of dishes 20ft high. You will be glad I got the bigger dish washer, cause now you have 2 dishwashers, or did the Fergimister chuck the other dishwasher that came for the old Diner?

What's the Cloe?

He did!? When?

Last night when our beloved pie man was on his 300th Pie and Jeff was taking all the Canned mashed potatos he could carry to the depot? Amazing.

And it looks like I might be joining PC.

Just got back from a fire dept meeting a while ago. Nothing much going on there, just went out to blow the mud out of a culvert. It was a busy day at the shop though. We're getting ready to ship out a bunch of desks and they all need to have wheels installed. This intails picking up the desk, turning it upside down and placing it on a padded table so the wheels can be installed. It doesn't sound hard, and it really isn't, but these desks weigh over one hundred fifty pounds each and there are eighty of them to be done in two days. Plus there's only two people working one them. Makes it a lot harder.

Evening Gang:

PC: You just have to keep an eye on this bunch. I only had the steak and a piece of sugar free cheery pie with sugar free ice cream.

Not much today. I worked in the far back yardgathering up the limbs that I trimed off the trees and bushes. I made 2 piles to pick up with the tractor and grapple. I also took up some rail and a left hand switch that needed redoing. It was part of the original main line and had been out of service for a long time. Last year I hit it with the mower and bent it a bit. Most of the ties were rotted out and I would have to replace them all. It's easier to remove the rail and relay it.

Jeff: That sounds like a awfull lot of woooorrrr. Yea that word. Be very careful when you two try to turn those desks over.

Well time for bed.

That was yesterday!
Hey guys.
Went to Grammy's place today. She wasn't there but my mom and I helped clean up her 2 acre yard for two hours.
The other day at my other gramma's house, my sister and her friend had biked there (Only 18 miles...), and at the house, there was a bike that had been out in front of her driveway for three weeks. They took it in and lubed it, seeing as no one wants it or something. Today we brought it to my other granny's house and we rode it, this being my first time using a bike thats the proper size and has brakes. It's really fun! I think I'll ride it more...
Bye,

A friend of mine sent me this today.

Just a note to tell you that my mailbox is being
flooded with mail concerning gas prices and illegal
immigrants. They request that I boycott the oil
companies and to provide amnesty to the illegal
immigrants. I have become jaded to the various
solutions proposed by the Republicans, Democrats,
Sierra Club, and ACLU, so I have elected to solve the
problems as they affect me. My response solves both
my gas and illegal immigrant problems....

I have hired illegal immigrants to push my car.

They're plentiful and cheaper than buying gas. Then I
pay them in Pesos so they have to go home to spend it.

Don't you love it when a plan comes together?

Just a couple of pics from my neck of the woods........

Caught this guy just as the sun was coming up.  My batteries were dying, so the quality isn't too good.
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j319/pcarrell/Prototype%20Train%20Photos/6-22-075.jpg

Then I saw a headlight up the tracks, so I went to investigate.  Lo and behold, CSX #12 was waiting for the green.  I think this is the lowest CSX numbered loco I've seen.
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j319/pcarrell/Prototype%20Train%20Photos/6-22-070.jpg

Then on the way home from work, I came across some MOW equipment that CSX left out.

Evening Gang: Not much today. I can see that not much is happening here ether. Today was sunny for the most part. It was cooler this afternoon and almost comfortable. I did some more on the far back. It took two trips with the front end loader and grapple to get the tree trimmings out. I finally got the grass cuttings raked up late this afternoon. Tomorrow I need to haul hay, so I'd better get to bed.

Good Night All

Good evening diners .......

The gray things in the sky were clouds and the wet stuff coming down was rain. I had almost forgotten.  It did not last long.  Soon the bright thing in the sky chased away the rain.  Severe dought continues here.

Jeff, I enjoyed reading you remarks and your solution to the problem. It's a good answer to those telling all the myths about fuel prices.  Fact is fuel prices are contolled by international commodity exchanges and not oil companies. Also, Unlce Sam is the price gouger with about 1 in 3 oil company revenue dollars going to taxes.  Further, only 1 in 10 oil company revenue dollars is for profits. Stock dividends is a small fraction of the profits.

In my workshop, I've now weathered 44 freight cars in the past few days.

Happy Model Railroading

Well, the attempts at humor are more for me to try to keep my mind off my own problems. My mother has landed in the hospital again after taking a turn for the worse earlier. That's where I've been the last four hours, and still, nobody knows what's wrong with her. I'm about ready to pop the doc upside the head if he doesn't get somebody in there who knows more than he does!

Mornin, just coffee for me Janie. Hearing thunder outside now, radar shows some more rain heading this way. We got ½" yesterday and some more won't hurt none, other than we've got a family re-union this afternoon.

Mothers been busy decorating 4 cakes, 1 for today and 3 burthen days tomorrow. Me, I've been busy with kids n chores, did get a little more ground cover on the layout and the control drawer done. Now if I just had the wiring done in it, I could run trains again.

JEFF,, hoping for the best with your mom and understand your feelings bout the doc. I've been there too I physically throwed out of #2 sons room one time over something bout the same.

I see the security cam caught who was eating the pies and cleared me,  PC naughty naughty.

DUKE,, that one man trickster doesn't look like much fun, but the snow blower on the other hand.

Well best get off here n shut this thing down, radar showing this storm could get kinda nasty. Hope ya'll has a gooden n stay safe
