I model in S scale and would like to see some open platform cars in the 50-60 foot range (Ma and Pa prototype would be good). I would dearly love to see some narrow vestibule cars as well, but I suspect that is a future scratch building project.
enjoy

I'd like to see either VIA renaissance or LRC passenger cars. Kato introduced the new VIA P42 locomotive in N scale, but chose not to produce the passenger cars that go along with it, unlike their Amtrak release. Whose brilliant marketing idea was that? The person should be fired! Does Kato really think they're going to sell as many VIA P42 as they could have without the rolling stock to go along with them?

HO Pullman smooth sided 10-6 sleeper. Pullman smooth side Buffet-sleeper-observation (2-1-1?) like Kato makes in N scale. ( Perfect for all 4 SP Lark cars, American Milemaster, Muskigum County and probably many others.) Full length ATSF dome dormitory. Corrugated Pullman SP Daylight 79' chair cars. Budd ATSF style baggage coach with baggage door near front. UP style six wheel truck 5600 or 5700 baggage cars with 4 window panes in each door. Smooth sided Pullman coach with smaller windows. Budd postwar coaches with smaller windows like SP's Sunset cars. There are many more I would buy, also.

I would love to see these passenger cars an ho and n scale, from what i know Overland is supposed to make HO Surfliners and supposed to be avalible by end of this year, but they are about 500 dollars for one car. Con-cor is also supposed to come out with some but they are ripped off, they are superliners painted to look like surfliners.

I wi***hat Athearn would make the cars for the Surfliner and Amtrak California.
Athearn's Bombardier commuter coaches are very well made. Can they do the same with the Surfliner and Amtrak California equipment?

I agree, we need Amtrak California and Amtrak Surfliner cars in HO. We need the Amtrak Cascades (talgo) equipment from Seattle. They (Electrotren) already make the first generation Talgo with the big blue stripe. Also paint the Amtrak Cascades equipment in the new Las Vegas Scheme (blue silver and black). Some really nice Kato P42's in ALL schemes to run this equipment behind. The Superline equipment from Walthers is FANTASTIC. I can't seem to get my Athearn Bombardier commuter cars to run without derailing (like every other Athearn I own!) but my Walthers Superliners run GREAT.
