There was a series on TV they were in, "Car 54 Where are you!".
Oh ya! I remember waking in the middle of the night when I couldn't sleep and catching an episode or two of those Mike. I think it was the catchy tune that woke me up. Car 54 where are you I remember Herman Munster as a police officer but I don't remember seeing Grandpa. Was Grandpa in every episode or just some?

CHRISTMAS POST HOG!.....CHRISTMAS POST HOG!!!
A very Merry Christmas wish to all of you Railroad Fans from the Fiddler and Judy
We are a bit lazy today. Finger food on the coffee table again for lunch and Judy has Yule Log on the TV right above the fireplace with quite a healthy fire in the fireplace. And Christmas music on the Denon!
I've never seen stereo fireplace until Christmas Day today.
One thing is missing though! The one song I have not heard yet this Season is "Merry Christmas Baby" by Elvis Presley. Everyone knows Elvis was a southern boy but as far as I'm concerned that was the best blues song he ever wrote
If someone has it in thier know how, Please Post It!
Thanks and Merry Christmas to all of you and yours

Although I do like Joe Pesci Ed. You left me hanging. I don't remember the crap that came out of his mouth after Herman Munster said there are only two answers, guilty or not guilty.
My Cousin Vinny ain't a Christmas movie but now I feel a strong desire to watch it.
Thanks for that!

Merry Christmas, diners.
We just got back from visiting youngest daughter and new granddaughter. Daisy the Dachshund is glad to be home.
Track fiddlerWas Grandpa in every episode or just some?
IMDB.com says that Grandpa Al Lewis was in 44 of the 60 episodes of Car 54 Where Are You? I remember learning the theme song of that program back when it was on.

I like your dog Daisy John. Just by the way you have spoke of her through the years. I think you posted her once. She always sticks with you when you are home doesn't she? Didn't even need to put a question mark after that statement as I miss my Nellie. I remember when I was home she was always right there like glue.
She must have had extremely good hearing because at any time of the day I could stop and say loud, "Excuse me, Excuse me, but has anyone seen my puppy! I know that sounds stupid but it was our little thing and about 10 seconds later the dog door flapper would go flap flap and there she was, ...... wiping my tears away now
I bet you were delighted to meet your new granddaughter and hold her for the very first time. The look in your daughter's eyes was special when you did. Believe me I know
I never smiled so big in my life and so did my son. I don't even like that picture of me because I never smiled that big but I love my Grandson in my arms in that picture and it's hard to believe he's running around like a champion now.
Again Merry Christmas everyone! Hopefully next year will be better for all of us
Eveing Diners
Merry Christmas Flo, give the gang and I some sipked Egg Nog and Dirk and Robbie a dog treat.
Very Good Covid Christmas 2020! Wife loves the JBL WIFI speaker, even my daughter and son in law was impressed! Sounds pretty good for a small speaker. Daughter liked all of the small grifts, ear rings and doggie dish towels.
I all so bought them a Craftsman Clear top tool case. Top is clear and has lift out tubes fo screws, nails and such. I took the $300.00 and rolled them up so Jackson faces was showing in each compartment. At first Sharon and Shawn thought they where a gag gift I printed on the printer. Nop, it is real. They where stunned and it will come in handy. They took a big pay cut to work for the Feds VA deparment. I told them not to work for the VA, I have seen few happy VA employess. Just like I told them, they hate it even working from home!
Dirk was very well behaved and love have them over. No longers growls at Shawn and wants him to pet him.
Over all a great Christmas!
Later Ken and Dirk says "Woof Woof all, and Woof Woof all a good night"!
I hate Rust
Well, it is official, we had the coldest Christmas in almost two decades. Only 59 degrees here.

Merry Christmas Kevin
Good Evening,
Hope everyone had a nice day. Can't say I did but oh well, that's how it goes. Nice now though. Robbie is laying on the sofa with me, his head against my leg. I'm watching TV and have the gas fireplace on so it is cozy down here. Soon it will be tea time. We have a wet bar so I have an electric kettle for tea.
Hope next year is better but not very hopeful of it happening.
CN Charlie
Charlie I'm so happy to hear Robbie is better and by your side. Just listening to your description sounded pretty cozy to me. I was just talking to John a while ago and I must really miss my Dogs. I'm glad Robbie is okay and with you
Well I must wish everybody a Merry Christmas again before I turn in and hit the rack.
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day where very good over here in our Lonesome Christmas with Judy and me. But I feel like I was part of your guys's Christmas too because you were all a part of mine
Well less than 2 hours and Christmas day will be over. But don't you worry and don't put the food or treats away because tomorrow is my Birthday and I will be 57!
I'm a big boy now
That's starting to feel old because I am getting very near 60. I wish I could say I don't feel 60 though but some days I do
Knighty Knight Kids! I enjoyed spending time with you for Christmas

I have been going through all my pictures for the last few days.
Found this great one, probably about 20 years ago, based off my uniform shirt.
Good morning everyone. I hope Christmas Day was as good as you expected.
A new day. New ideas and thoughts.

Good Morning, everyone.
I'm stating up for a bit in order to get the roadway plowed. There's at least 18 inches out there, more in some drifted areas. 12° F out there, too ! Brrr!!
David, what is the significance of the red disc on the smokebox door of the 9F on the Santa Special?

They do not say, but at a guess it is 'Rudolph's Red Nose'.

Good morning
It's the day after Christmas. And you know what the day after Christmas is. It's another National Holiday. Not really though.
Today is the biggest return day of the year normally.
Judy had to go to work. Who goes to the hotel around Chistmas time anyway. I guess it makes sense. You can't go to your family's house unless you have your mask on. So I guess they can't have you sleeping over there and you need to stay at the hotel.
I think people should have stayed home and then Judy wouldn't have to go to work today.
Hopefully you got the 18" driveway plowed Ed. Sounds like a lot of snow. More than we got.
So I'm just sitting here by my lonesome. Me and my brother didn't go to Scale Model Supply hobby store on Christmas Eve. Too many slippery roads and too many idiots out there that day.
Hopefully he calls because I would really like to go to that Hobby store today. I have some money in my pocket going jing a ling a ling.
Well it's sad but this is the way it has to be.
Happy birthday to me Happy birthday to me Happy birthday dear Fiddler Happy birthday to me.......an many more!
Go figure I'd reach a day where I had to do that
I guess I'm just a lonely old man now waiting for the phone to ring
Happy Birthday, Fiddler.
Good Morning,
Gee Ed, it is 19F here and no snow to shovel. Better move north for better weather.
Kevin, I remember visiting my parents at their condo in St. Pete's back in 1980 expecting warm weather but it was only 50F and 30F at night.
I was just outside tending the bird feeders and saw Basil out and about. He is the red squirrel who has been living in our garage for at least 7 years. That is very old for a squirrel.
Dave, I really enjoy the videos. I am amazed at the number of mainline calibre steam locos in Britain. We have none active in Canada. The last was about 10 years ago when the CPR was still running a Hudson but when a new President was appointed by the board he cancelled the steam programme. There was concern he would scrap the loco but it sits in an engine shed in Calgary. The guy has gone back home , good riddance. Brent has posted some photos of this engine.
I plan on running trains today.
wjstix Oy, if we're in England, ain't we in a cafe (pronounced like "calf"), not a diner? Wink
She just went to make another cup of tea as I type this. Yorkshire pudding with our Christmas dinner yesterday.

Happy birthday, TF! As a kid, did you get double presents for Christmas and birthday?
Track fiddlerI like your dog Daisy John. Just by the way you have spoke of her through the years. I think you posted her once. She always sticks with you when you are home doesn't she?
Yeah, this dog, which I didn't want, attached herself to me. She has to go with me, even if it's to the shed for 10 seconds to get a tool. Right now, as I type, she is sitting beside me bumping my leg, trying to get me to pay attention.
We had a real windstorm the other day, but with just a small amount of snow. Now quite a bit of snow is predicted for Tuesday. Since all the family will be here, I'm going out right now to get the snowblower fired up for the first time this year, so I don't have to mess with it while company is here.
I hope everyone's Christmas went well, and everyone is healthy. Just five more days until 2021!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TF!
It is a holiday here, Boxing Day. Until about 30 years ago everything was shut but slowly retail started to open and now it crazy time, except this year. Only essential retail is open.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TF

It is mainly thanks to Dai Woodham's in South Wales. He bought a huge amount of locomotives from British Railways. Thanks also to early Preservationists realising they could buy the locomotive from Woodham's. Dai was now aware he could make a profit without actually doing any work by cutting the locomotives up.
There are a few more that can be 'saved' at Charle Marston's Yard on my layout.
Good afternoon
Thanks for the Happy Birthdays David, John, Charlie and Ed
Made me happy My brother's stopping by at 1:00 to take me down to the Saint Paul Hobby Store. Looking forward to it! I haven't been anywhere for a long time. This hobby stores is huge. The last time we were there, we were there a couple hours.
Thanks again

My daughter's birthday is also today. Some years, we celebrated it with a party for Valentine's Day, because all her friends were always busy at Christmas. My company moved a lot of holidays to give us the week after Christmas off, so we frequently took that week in Florida.
It's a bad week to go skiing, though. It's too crowded, and they jack the prices up.
