gmpullmanTop-O-the Page! How about a slice of Pecan pie? Maybe a dollop of vanilla ice cream on the side?
I have not had Pecan Pie in over a year... I might need to do something about that.
Is there a worse pie for you?

Living the dream.
gmpullman I'm all for England and the UK, David. I believe we were there not too long ago and the hosts were quite gracious and invited us back anytime. I can do the mechanics of setting up the Diner, setting the hand-brake and plugging in the standby. If you'd like to show us around the countryside that would be great. Regards, Ed

I thought there was someone else from England, but wasn't sure. If he showed you Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch he probably lived 'down south'.
As most of my pictures are of 'up north' there will be something different.
So, Ed, please do the mechanics and set things up.

I cannot afford the luxury of a negative thought
My pets have always been enjoyed and loved during their lives but two a sad state of affairs.
Magnum that was poisoned only three and a half years old had liver failure because of the mean person that poisoned him.
I don't even want to say I know exactly the way you feel about Robbie. But I somewhat do and my heart goes out to you Charlie.

NorthBritIs the Diner going to England in December; or where?
I'd like to go back and visit the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway again.
And see the Kempton Park engine running again:
I hope everyone is doing well, today —
I wish there was something I could do, Charlie. I feel your pain over Robbie. Been there.

Good Afternoon,
A chilly day here, about 20F and windy.
Not a good day yesterday and today is looking about the same. My wife is convinced that Robbie won't survive his liver cancer surgery tomorrow and has basically withdrawn. She also thinks we will get covid before Christmas. Not sure how but the fear is there nontheless. There is a possibility she is right especially regarding Robbie. I guess I remain hopeful and that drives her nuts. I have thought about him not making it and will be devastated if that is the result but without the surgery we won't likely have him for more than 6 months. He seems fine now but if that changes, it will be too late to do anything.
Bear, thanks for all the great vids and photos. I also really liked the roast lamb for dinner today. Been a long time since I've had any and I do enjoy it.
I vote for England as the next dinner move.
Well I have to go out now and buy bird seed as we are nearly out of one kind.
I just seem to plod along from day to day.

Good evening all. Well the temperature did not get above freezing today. Winter is coming fast.
I ran a good number of locomotives. It was very enjoyable.
It is Sunday dinner tonite. Easy to do. Then taking it easy tonite.
Is the Diner going to England in December; or where?
Weather is perfect today, so I am going to work outside on the landscaping.
The irrigation system is having problems along the south side of the backyard perimeter and the flower gardens up front.
Rainy season is over, so I need to get this working for the Winter months. I don't want any of my shrubbery to die.
I might plant a triple Christmas Palm today if everything gets working. I will see what prices look like.
Hope all are well.
Good morning
Not much going on today. Just how I like it on a lazy Sunday. Now that you mentioned it John I wish I had a few donuts today even though I don't eat that sort of thing very often.
Waiting for the noon game. Those Panthers are some big boys. I'm a bit of a realist and do believe the Vikings will be eaten for breakfast and handed their lunch on a silver platter this afternoon. Especially if they show up wearing those pajamas they wore last week
Other than that I hope you all have a very good day today!
Good morning. Another Sunday without donuts.
It's a good day to stay inside. It was 16°F and the wind was howling for my morning walk. The wind gusts made me walk a little off balance. If people watched me walking they probably thought I had been hitting the bottle pretty early this morning.
My wife is outside working on the bird feeders. The wind and the raccoons knocked some things down during the night. I work on trains and she works on bird feeders.
Hope everyone has a good Sunday.

Good morning ....
Bear .... I just watched the videos of NZ freight trains, and I like them.

PM Railfan gmpullman I might need to pick your brain on 3D resin printing. These things have become so rediculously cheap lately that it seems every modeler should have one stashed under the layout — or in the loo if that's the only place you have room! Hey Ed! Good to hear from you. After a good nights sleep I remembered you can post photos to MR photo gallery. I just posted 3 cars Ive been working on. Give it 24 hours for MR to approve them. If you, or anyone else has any questions on 3D stuff just ask. As for cost, thats relative. Yes, a model boxcar can cost only 20 cents in plastic to produce, but its all the $$$ youll need to get to that point. Not to mention the assundry parts youll have to buy per car... wheels, couplers, paint, decals. Now your car is up to $12 plus 20 cents, each. Just buying a 3D printer (the cheap way) will allow you to print.... other peoples models. And you have to get that code (called 'G-Code'). What if what you want isnt available? To do more (the expensive way), youll need to lay out $$$ for software. You just cant buy a cheap 3d printer and print 'your own' stuff. And if time was an -expense-, yeah lol, you might want to put your printer in the loo. You can spend a week or three from concept of model to it actually running on the rails with designing, printing, testing, fixing, reprinting, test again, fix, reprint, ..... you get the idea. Its very tedious if your a rivet counter like me. Again, if you or anyone has a que with 3D filament printing, send it my way. Id say email me since I get to emails more frequent than here. Before I go let me say HOWDY and Thank You for the welcome back to SeeYou190. Always a pleasure to meet a Railfan. Ofcourse HOWDY to all the other readers we have, hope everyone is well! Happy Holidays! Douglas PM Railfan

Actually you can use free software Blender is a great 3D software to craete things with, I can create 3D animation with it as well. There is a learning curve with it but there are multiple tutorials out on the web.
Good morning all. Thick fog has rolled in from the coast. Visibility is down to a few yards; and it is icy cold.
A day indoors is called for.
Great pictures, Bear (as usual).

Geese
The lead goose creates turbulance in the air stream, making it easier for the other geese to fly. They will swap off the lead position periodically.
Geese will fly with teal ducks, which is considered one of the faster flying ducks. Most hunters miss geese they shoot at because they don't lead them enough.
I killed my first mallard 72 years ago--and haven't stopped since.

Track fiddlerOn a V of Geese , do you know why one side of the "V" is longer? Yep! Because there is more birds on that side. They're probably on that side because they like the other geese better.

Failure To Launch, 2006, starring Matthew McConaughey.
That's it Kevin!
Thanks for clarifying that one for me
And Terry Bradshaw was the father who had his naked room with the aquarium.
They could have left that scene out as far as I'm concerned
The last movie I seen with Matthew was "Mud" That was a very good movie.
Track fiddlerI don't remember what movie that was but it was the funniest crap I've ever seen in my life
The mockingbird portion was sub-plot, but it was MUCH funnier, to me, than the actual story of an adult male refusing to move out of his parent's house.
The scene where the woman being harrased by the mockingbird hears about an instructional book "how to kill mockingingbirds", but then finds out it is "To Kill A Mockingbird" was incredibly funny.
Apparently we don't have Mockingbirds up here and if we do I have been fortunate enough not to ever brush paths with one.
I do remember a movie Once. I can't remember the name of the movie but this girl took a BB gun and shot the Mockingbird out of the tree outside of the bedroom window.
Right after she did it she felt horrible and just couldn't live with what she just did. She went and got the bird off the lawn.
She gave the bird mouth to mouth resuscitation with her boyfriend while pumping her little pinkies on the birds little chest and then all of a sudden the bird woke up chirped and flew away.
I don't remember what movie that was but it was the funniest crap I've ever seen in my life
moelarrycurly4The mower ran out of gas on the last of the back yard and I call it good for the season. That way it won't gunk up over the winter.
Huh? When I get done mowing for the season I just do the same as always after mowing lawn and just put the battery on the charger. I leave it there for the winter. The charger reduces the battery level after a while to keep the service life of the battery tip-top. No problem and no stale gas sitting in the shed to cause problems for next year.... No oil changes, no gas no problem, no running to the gas station and hauling the can back home, etc.. Much easier actually.
I have mocking birds that I call the mower birds. They will come when I start the mower and get the bugs I stir up. They never attack me, just the bugs.
I did the last lawn mow of the season, basically to chew up the leaves that had not blown into the neighbors yard yet (haha) The mower ran out of gas on the last of the back yard and I call it good for the season. That way it won't gunk up over the winter.
SeeYou190 ROBERT PETRICK It's kinda hard to explain to my fellow Wyomingites why I wore my hockey helmet while gardening in Florida. A territorial mockingbird is very scary. They are tiny, but they will attack hawks. They are fearless, like the badger of the sky. -Kevin

I remember a TV show that explored birds in the wild recognizing different people's faces. I just found this interesting report of mockingbirds and a Florida researcher:
"The mockingbirds seemed to have it out for Stracey in particular; they ignored passersby and even gardeners working right beneath their nests. "By the end of the summer, I was absolutely convinced that the birds knew me and did not like me!" she says."

That sounds good to me.

I have tried to make similar explanations while working out of state.
Good morning, diners.
I guess I wouldn't mind taking the diner to the UK. It sounds like David could be the cook for the diner in December. We would all need to go on diets January 1.
At our feeders, the Blue Jays and the Cardinals all seem to eat together at the same time. I don't know if that is a thing or just coincidence.
Have a good Saturday, everyone. Weekend, weekday, Saturday, Wednesday? Those are just meaningless words after retirement.
Good afternoon all. The temperature has not gone above 32 degrees F today.
The fruit parcels in filo pastry were a partial success. I should have had double filo pastry thickness. (I shall remember next time.) They tasted lovely though; which is the main thing.
Chicken Korma tonite. That will warm us up.
