When we get the garage cleaned out, I'm getting a freezer chest. Then I can freeze my glass beer mugs. The fridge in the kitchen just doesn't have a big enough freezer, and the so-called beer fridge in the garage doesn't even have a freezer. The GF doesn't like frosted mugs, but I sure do.
I have a few vehicles with people inside, but a lot of them have really small windows and adding passengers would be an almost invisible project. A bus or an open truck, even a convertible, but a closed up sedan is not worth it. Of course, it's part of the project when assembling a Jordan vehicle.
It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.
Mornin
That cooler in the Caboose sounds like a nice evening treat Ed
Usually I'd say I'm glad to be home but I'd rather still be up in the woods. It was funner there
TF
It was a frosty glass, alright, and every time I ordered another beer. I got a new frosty glass. Bliss!!!
Glad I could help conjure some fine memories, Bear
On the hot summer days, mostly behind us now, I DO like my suds ICE cold. The little ice-box in the caboose is set just right so when the bottle is uncapped you can see a slight solidification going on iinside the neck. The first few sips are almost like slush
Cooler weather now, not so much. I'll be havin my stout only slightly chilled.
Cheers, Ed

Good Morning!
I was just looking at some of my semi-trucks and that made me think of Frank, Zstripe, He hasn't posted since the middle of August. Hope he's OK
Here it is almost October!
Looks like it's seaman recruit Bigblo's duty to try to wake up Bear this morning

The night is getting too rich for how late it is and I'm going to hit the rack!

Living the dream.
Dat-a-boy
I would have definitely done that too and I have
But only with my Judy
Track fiddler I never seen you let go when you were on vacation Kevin. You always took us with you and showed us all the hobby stores traveling across the United States and I did appreciate that
When I went out West, I went "dark" the three days I was with my baby in Los Angeles, and the three days with middle baby in Seattle.
I think I did some clever editing so it all seemed seamless.
Post Hog Again
My brother-in-law is such a great guy! They all have fun and make some good money on the weekends and I don't even know how he keeps up with it with his mechanic job. But then again we all know how to have fun up here.
They all do some really nice stuff often too. Last night they played a Fundraiser. Everyone had a lot of fun including me and Judy and they raised almost $15,000 for a friend that has cancer. It was a beautiful thing
I had a such a great time up there I'm going to have to go up there more often
Post Hog!...Post Hog!
I have so many stories to tell I just can't do it tonight, probably tomorrow.
My brother-in-law's hobby is he picked up from when he was young and has his band again now. He runs all over the Northland playing Gigs having fun. They all practice every week in his pole barn.

Man that sparked a memory Ken!
Judy and I had a heck of a garden in the backyard all along the perimeter of the fence I built years before we downsized. That fuchsia colored Rose would grow taller each and every year until I swear to God it reached 9 foot tall.
It may have been that one section in the garden because right next door to her was a peach colored Lily. The peach colored Lily was a perennial and we could understand that but the rose wasn't supposed to come up the next year. You're supposed to cover your rose's before winter and we never did. That Rose would come up every year and got stronger and taller and you could smell her from the front yard.
Yes, a spark of a memory. I did ask Judy if she had a picture but she didn't
Eveing Diners
Flo, give the gang and I a please and Dirk and Robbie a dog treat.
Charile, how is Robbie doing? Hoping all is good!
Another doing nothing day. Did take Dirk to the local park today and he was a good boy. Boy he can pee! I do wonder how he controls his bladder, OK this smell gets this much, this smells better so a little more, and this smells Great! So I am going to hose this!
Rose Bush, best time to cut it down? I have no idea what kind of rose it is excpet it flowers are yellow. Very spendley (spell check) and not very thick. Lost most of it lower leaves and it is still blooming and it is tall! I say it is close to 9 foot! What are your ideas? How often should I feed it?
Later, Ken and Dirk says Woof, Woof Daddy.
I hate Rust
Whale not being a family man myself... I still have a family, but parents (now deceased) and brothers (with their families) are not the same. So it is quite normal that I would spend some time on a computer.
I like spending my vacation in Newark, New Jersey. I do not know who else wants to vacatuion in Newark, but Newark Abbey is a nice house, and only a short ride from the city that I love. Those monks are all very busy (they run a school) but are very nice to me. I do not know haw many more trips to New York City are left to me. : (

I agree with her. When you are on vacation with your family it is probably best to let it go for a while.
Yep I'll give you that one
It looks like you've been getting a lot of stuff done on your house there Kevin
A passion of pleasure for you, but now I got to start thinking about doing that stuff again
P.S. I never seen you let go when you were on vacation Kevin. You always took us with you and showed us all the hobby stores traveling across the United States and I did appreciate that
Track fiddlerI had to shut off communication as Judy had a thing with me on the third day while I was trying to post.
Evening Diners
God I missed you guys!
Just drove home on the 29 to the 94 to get home just in time for dinner. I will be catching up on some reading here to make sure you Kids have behaved while I was gone
I see a lot of Post Hog here and it made me laugh Thanks for holding down the fort!
Northern Wisconsin was great and I'll talk about that later. But the main thing is you guys, ...How the heck you've been?
I had to shut off communication as Judy had a thing with me on the third day while I was trying to post. She said, "Can't you just spend time up North with your family and me and let the Forum go until you get home" I says, Well, I like talking to those guys!
I'm usually the boss at home but not on vacation and she did have a point I'm glad to be back and I'll catch up with you guys later.
Good morning fellow diners. I slept until after noon today. I feel great, but I also feel like this was a bad thing to do.
Oh well, nothing lost.
I think I will do a lot of construction site clean-up tody as well as start the grout.
My battery in my camera is dead, and I cannot locate the charger. This is bad. The house is such a wreck that I do not even know where to begin looking.
So, and without apology, I’m sticking with 3 animals.
Try making an appointment at the animal clinic for a routine colonoscopy. I figured I could save a few bucks but they told me to turn tail and leave.
Sometimes when you're trying to have a little fun in the diner somebody has to come along and throw a wet blanket over the whole works
You certainly come up with interesting photos, Ed.
Thanks, Bear. This interweb thing seems to be a visual medium and I like to post a photo or two along the way. I could spend hours looking over some of the great images available to us on the information superhighway. Eat the meat, spit out the bone.

LastspikemikeIt is worth exploring these.
What the heck do you think I have been doing for the last few years??? Among multiple other approaches, I have tried physiotherapy several times and each time, after multiple sessions, the result was the same. I have dutifully repeated all of the suggested exercises, always hoping that the pain would go away. It hasn't! After the last session I could barely walk out of the physiotherapists office. Putting one foot in front of the other was excrutiating. I was able to drive home, but when I got home it was all I could do to get up the two steps into the house. Getting up to the bedroom had me almost in tears. I was flat on my back in pain for two days even though I was taking oxycocet.
I have a very good doctor and he has referred me to every source of treatment available. I won't list them all again. The final conclusion by all of the various medical professionals is that they can't help me. I have to live with the pain. My only option is pain killers, and I try to avoid those until I am in a state where the pain is past the point of being tolerable.
By the way, I know how to avoid the pain. I use a cane and I just don't try to stand for more than a few minutes, and I try to avoid carrying anything where my arms are out front. Getting the garbage to the curb causes a lot of pain, as does just filling the bird feeders. If I stay lying down or just sitting I can avoid the pain most of the time, but that really restricts our life style.
Thanks for the suggestion about the books. I'll look into them.
Dave
I'm just a dude with a bad back having a lot of fun with model trains, and finally building a layout!
I ended up doing nothing in the bathroom today. Instead I finished cleaning out the storage locker. I did not realize it was this close to the end of the month. Where did September go?
So that chore is done. My left leg is bothering me and did not really want to work on grout anyway today. There is always tomorrow.
I hope everyone is safe and healthy.
Flo, give the gang a mug of and I will take a Keg with a straw and Dirk and Robie a dog treat.
It was the lognest short day at work I have had! Jerry Dunce out did him self today! By the time I left after only 4 hours my ears where bleeding! One of the stupid things he said was Paul the GM should hire a lawyer to make Nancy (owner's ding bat wife) stay out of the store? Because she is crazy, well she is but I wonder how that would work out? Say Marv, I need you to pay for a lawyer so your wife cannot come into the stores? Yea, that would work!
By the time I left we only had two and a half coustomers. Reason I said 2.5 coustomers? Jerry had a coustomer that he made mad after only being in the store for 3 minutes. While I did not hear what was said the coustomer looked like a jerk.
My only coustmer took 1 and a half hours to buy a futon? Could not keep things straight in there head that any futon mattres could be used on any futon frame. Finally got a deal done for $770.00. Boy I was glad when they where gone!
Trains are running well for a change.
Later, Ken and Dirk says Woof, Woof!
Edit I see I am on the top of the page, Flo Dog Treats and drinks are on me!
howmusYep! 13... Humans are animals too. Dangerous ones at times, I've heard!
I guess I shouldn't have even pointed it out. I saw the small dog way off to the left of the photo and thought it would be fun to mention it.

Sorry.
Heartland Division CB&Q I bet all of your home improvemnt work precludes time for model railroading,
It has. The biggest part is that 99% of all the model railroading stuff is packed up now.
I left out about a dozen freight car projects that were very close to being completed so I could finish them up and share in Weekend Photo Fun, but even that is going slow. Most of my WPF shares now are just new purchases, which immediately get packed away.
In a few weeks my model building workbench will need to get disassembled, and that will make it all even worse.
But... at the end of all this work I will have a train room!
Good morning .
Flo .... I'll have coffee and a Belgian waffle, please. ...... Huh? You say "No". .... Oh, Ed ate all of them. ...Hmmmmm..... I'll have a donut, please.
Kevin ..... I bet all of your home improvemnt work precludes time for model railroading, but I'm glad you take time to contribute here.
I did not get much done on my next freight car last night. I hope I have more time for it today.
Lion ..... The shirt picture you posted yesterday looked cool.
Everybody ...... Have a good day.
Good morning everyone. I am just having a coffee ths morning before I start the day.
Going to start grout in the bathroom. This "never seal & mildew proof" grout is a pain to work with. It needs to come off the tile surfaces right away or it will stick.
This requires a constant flow of grouting and sponging. Only a small area can be done at once.
I hope it is not a frustrating day.
