Flo, give the gang and I a Beer and leave a Stein outside for Ulrich.

Tinplate Toddler According to the police, being listed as a possible target for an attack does not constitute a threat. Need I say more? No, you need not. I've warned you to keep this topic off the Forum.

Mr Otto I guess I'am stupid but I did not see a poltical connection in that statment nor when Ulrich named the groupe that had him listed? Now if the group was a elected postion in the groverment then it would be poltical.

Ed I looked at the photo's you post on the DCC section, it made my head hurt! I may be calling you in a few day's. Whistling

Hi Ulrich,

Sorry you got your hand slapped again, when I first read it I thought Br.O. was ahead of himself with an April fools stunt. But apperantly not so.

Don't be gone for very long as we need your input in this forum. Just turn the other cheek as some don't believe you feel the threat that you do and how unsettling that is.

Best wishes to you and Petra, and keep smiling as much as you can as it looks good on you.

Hi Bis,

Nothing in my email so far. I checked my spam folder too.

To send a Personal Message (PM) through the forums just click on my avatar (the critter locomotive picture) and select "Start Conversation" on the upper right of the page. The rest is pretty straight forward. It does help if you post a note in the Forums that you have sent me a PM because the PM notificatons are no longer highlighted on the Forums page. I wish MR would fix that. My 2 Cents

yard throat

Good Morning All,

A regular to go please Zoe. Oh, and a blueberry donut too please. Thought it was supposed to be warming but it was 7F this morning though the sun is trying to come out. Got some done on the yard throat (original trackage is above if I've finally figured out how to post stuff). I didn't do the linkage for the switch mechanism yet but I didn't want to get too ambitious the first night back on the layout.

We got the Lotus23 motor out and to the engine builder who also had the spare done so we will plop that in place today. In the mean time I am making a clutch plate pressure tester out of a spring rate tester and modifying a run of brake shoes to fit the older cars. All good fun !

Well, time to pick up tools.   Chow, J.R.

Well guess I don't have the Flickr to forum thing figured out after all. Embarrassed

I can open them JR, but I'm using Chrome.  Actually, I took a look at few of pictures.  Nice!  That's a big yard!  I can click on the little box, or I can open your link, either way.

BigDaddy has a work-around for Fire Fox users.  I'm sure he'll see this and help out.

Donuts sound good.  I don't seem to be loosing weight anyway.

JR I went to Sebring when I was in college.  4 of us in a Ford station wagon with a Yamaha motorcycle in the back and a shopping cart full of beer.  We were mad at Lyle who have a couple cases to some girls he met, but we did not run out.

The three things I remember most are the smell of orange blossoms in the air, the sharp pain in my ears on the first lap and that there were people living in those old barracks in the center of the race track.

My friend, you lay your track pretty close to the edge of the layout.  Nice briodges.

Thanks Henry. Any idea what i did wrong the first time?

The layout has walls on the back and the fascia that fronts the layout extends above the track now to make a short wall. The elevated track at the rear of the yard entrance photo has a drop off either side and it's curved just like the prototype. I guess I like to live dangerously.Whistling  J.R.

I tried clicking on your avatar and all I get is" biography, about, friends". I click on my avatar and I can see that there is a message, when I click on it I get " not authorized to view conversation" I am already signed on. I tried to log in on the bottom of the page and got " sever error". Did I ever tell you I hate computers.

Screen shots in Chrome seem like a daunting task, from what I've been able to read.  With Fire Fox, it was no problem.

Ed, do you put the picture in Paint so you can draw on it?  I don't have any photo editing soft ware, other than what came on the computer.

Just wondering.

A quick thought about Ulrich's situation, I think he's just try to reach out, and just maybe this forum is like a vital connection to "the rest of world".

That's all,  I understand thr ules and why they are there.

Mike.

Hi, Mike

I bought Photoshop Elements 11 some years ago and use it all the time for photo editing and enhancement. I'm no expert at it but I fumble along OK. Fortunately, the program is still supported by Adobe and works just fine in Windows 10.

I don't see why Paint wouldn't work the same. [edit] I just tried it in Paint 3D which is bundled with Win. 10 and it worked just fine.

I simply press the "Print Screen" key to capture what's shown in the monitor. In Paint 3D I click on "paste" and there's my image. Sometimes it helps to enlarge your view and hit F11 to get a full-screen capture of the image area you want befire you hit the "print Screen key.

Cheers, Ed

JR what I do in flickr is hit the upward right arrow at the bottom right of the screen and click BB link.

Click in the box with the link and it all should turn blue.  Hit control and C at the same time.

In this forum where you want the photo to go hit Control V (don't use any of the icons)  and you will get something that looks like this

Screen shots have nothing to do with your browser. It is a Windows function accessed from the keyboard. It is fully independent of any software.

Aligators are rather begnine.  I watched the zookeeper in Bismarck enter the enclosures with the aligators and they did not move, not even when he slapped them on the head with a lump of meat.

Corkodials on the other hand.... Oh, You had a hand on that arm? It doesn't seem to be there anymore...

Yes... I will stop by with Brent and expect my pair right away,  just as long as you can get two pairs of boots out of a 5-foot alligator,  I'm not asking for miracles here.  If you must find another one,  don't forget to smile.  Alligators like that,  its the crocodiles that don'tWhistling

I'm sure your right Lion, but when I use Fire Fox, there's a button for that in the FF tool bar.  Just a lot easier.

Roar on!
